I dont understand why people find Claptrap annoying.
Well to be fair, he is a bit annoying.
But people shit on everything because they need to anyway. They need to diversify their rage away from the hate of mlg360xboxnoscope videos :v:

ClapTrap's whole character is that they are annoying and useless.
I literally see him as nothing but helpful and delightful.
I can't hate Claptrap. However when I hear his voice I feel my brain cells slowly committing suicide.
Jesus christ deadlift on solo true vault hunter mode is impossible. These constant chasing energy balls down you in a second and there's never a guy to kill for second wind. Also just came back to bl2 and its quite more fun.

Maybe the moon landscape was boring or something, but the pre-sequel didn't manage to convince me. Is the new DLC worth it?

Deadlift is incredibly hard as the first proper boss fight because, apart of his massive shields, requires you to use the zero gravity movement patterns shortly after being introduced and you trying to cope with them, on the penalty of dying several times on that bloody electrocuted floor, with no hope for a second wind
What really made me sceptic about the Pre-Sequel! is that, after Deadlift and the first area, the zero gravity gimmicks are ENTIRELY SET ASIDE GAMEPLAY-WISE, and the whole game can be safely played on foot, save for some platforming sections

people didnt really know annoying and useless until tina came along

Tiny is pretty great in the Tina DLC and Playthrough 2 of Pre-sequel.
Claptrap never bothered me. Never made me really laugh that much, but didn't grate on me.
Tina, honestly, was kinda funny. Didn't bother me either. Never got why the two drove people up the walls.
But then Springs and Pickle came along and I think I understand now. I fucking hate both of these characters so much. Springs might as well have a bolded "[LESBIAN]" tattoo on her forehead, and she's as unfunny as she is painfully flat as far as characters go. There are ways to include characters with other sexualities in games, and she's a great example of how not to do it. The forced accent doesn't help either.
As for Pickle? Jesus Christ. Give me a mute function for him. Tina might be bad for some, but Pickle's an entirely different tier of obnoxious, useless, and needlessly ram-rodded into the story. Tina feels like she has a little depth, and you actually need her plot wise as a means to destroy the Hyperion Train. Pickle is just some punchable cockney twirp who hangs around far too long after being involved. I remember having to deal with Tina for the one or two missions for explosives - done in maybe 15-30 minutes tops, and bam. Done. Thing explodes, Tina gone. Pickle digs his claws in and hangs around with you for the better of an hour or two as you have to juggle two grating voices at one. (Least you can kill the Bosun)
I dunno. Having to start new characters for funsies to level up for the Claptastic Voyage DLC reminded me of how painfully bad almost all of the characters in the Pre-Sequel are. Even Jack, who initially starts out rather great gets shoved forward the most comically immature ways to his later self. [sp]His little near-orgasmic "WOW THAT FELT REALLY GOOD, I LIKE KILLING PEOPLE SUDDENLY NOW, YEAHHH BABY" line after the Meriff still makes me cringe.[/sp]
I didn't find pickle that annoying but I guess It's because I have the spanish voices so I don't get to hear his straya accent. He just has a normal spanish kid voice in my game. Is it really that bad?

Nope, as always people overeact to the stupidest of things.
I'm in love with the Luck Cannon.
It's the closest thing to a Borderlands 1 revolver I've felt since the first game. Especially the Two fer version.
Also the Thunderfire and Flayer are to a lesser extent awesome.
Had Handsome Collection since Sunday, just been running around getting a few trophies with my Imported Krieg.
Friend finally got his copy today, so will actually be able to start playing it from the beginning.
Have never played a Borderlands game without modding my save after the first playthrough. Should be interesting to see how well I do with mods.

If he had a normal kid voice, I wouldn't care.
Instead he he as the most strained, convoluted cockney gurgling. Pretty sure he uses the phrase half-inch-pinch twice in about 15 seconds flat after you first meet him. But hey, to each their own. Pickle's voice just annoys me and I don't find anything about him remotely funny or interesting.
Hey, on the last thread I trashed Pickle for his Aussie gibberish and you boxed me to oblivion, what the hell happened since then?!
Anyone recommend a good early game Gaige build? Just starting BL2 now on Handsome Collection.
The Pre-Sequel has too many annoying things that keeps me away from it (including the aforementioned Springs and Pickles). If I feel like playing Borderlands, I usually just stick with the 2. It has the characters, the world and all the awesome DLCs I really enjoy.

He has an English Cockney accent complete with rhyming slang, not an Australian one for starters.

I don't care what kind of weird accent or slang he's trying to pull. What matters is that he sounds really fucking annoying. Probably the first Borderlands character I've loathed with such passion.

Hey don't look at me, I didn't like him either. I can't even stand our accents here at the best of times.
So a friend and I are co-oping the Borderlands 2 campaign. Damn, this game is so fun, I'm shocked I hadn't played it earlier. The gunplay is ridiculously satisfying, and the world is pretty interesting too (we're only at the part where [sp]Roland's been kidnapped and we're looking for him[/sp] right now so I'm sure I'll find more intrigue).

tiny tina was great in bl2, especially in the Dragonkeep dlc. Now I can't stand her in TpS. I don't know where all the pickle hate came from, I don't really have an opinion of him :v:
Anybody know if Claptastic Voyage is it for TpS? I want more dlcs. I feel kinda unsatisfied if it's the last one. :C

It's the last unless they decide to make headhunter packs. And considering there hasn't been any word about more content, I'm assuming that there won't be any more.
It's a shame. Take out Oz kits and Lasers and you'd think Pre Sequel was released BEFORE 2. It has less content, shorter story, fewer weapons, a pitiful lineup of legendaries, smaller world, less DLC, basically no raid boss, and just overall a smaller game. I still got a fair share out of it but compared to 2 I've played it for a fraction of the time yet paid close to the same amount. As a successor to 2 it fails in most regards, and while is a good game it's shit compared to its precursor. My best review of it I could give to someone is if you haven't played 2, just get 2 instead and play this IF you want to play more. 2 is better in most ways.
Anyway, anyone beat the first stage of [sp]Shadowtrap[/sp] in the bonus arena? Man it took me and 3 guys an hour to kill, and that was with 3 Nishas, one using the unreleased Lady Fist they SE'd in. It's by no means hard, but just has sooo much health, and decides to regen all its shield once you take it down once. All you get it one chest that for my team didn't even have a Legendary, just 2 glitch pistols and 2 purple.
If you decide to tackle the max difficulty Claptrap arena with 4 people. DON'T. It takes wayy too long and you're not even guaranteed a legendary.
And to answer the question about DLC. This expansion is the last one. 2K Aus said so before releasing it, and even if they go against that word they'd have to also go against their word that the season pass covers everything since they got their 40$ of DLC for 30$ in. If they just add in as part of the season pass they'd just be losing money since most people already have the season pass.
So, I just got the handsome collection on PS4, and I'm starting with the pre-sequel. I already feel pretty lost with what's going on. Should I have started with the first game?

There isn't really much story carried from BL1 to BL2. But you really should have started with BL2, not Pre-sequel.
