I'm still disgusted that the last fan response he'll ever receive was the vitriolic reaction to their E3 2015. What an ugly end to an incredible career.
I felt so bad for him after that. Sure it was a little goofy, but man.

Goofy? I don't think the backlash was caused by the goofy muppet stuff they did (if that's what you're referring to) but because of the games they showed.
I know a lot of it was because of Federation Force.

Don't forget animal crossing Amiibo festival.
I know a lot of it was because of Federation Force.
Yeah. Also Triforce Heroes (while they showed nothing of Zelda U) and Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival instead of a real Animal Crossing game.
I have faith Mother 3 will be announced...

Which in turn was just an extension of the Other M rage that never went away.

I just mean in general, the whole thing was not what I was expecting it to be. But I wasn't upset about it, some people just went overboard.
Don't forget animal crossing Amiibo festival.
What I found the funniest thing about that was. It got terrible reactions and sold terribly when it came out. and they still thought it was a good idea to make 3 waves of Animal Crossing amiibo when stores still haven't sold out of the first wave.
Quite honestly, aside from Zelda, i am not expecting anything else from Nintendo this year.
2016 is already such a barebone year for them.
Which in turn was just an extension of the Other M rage that never went away.
Well, I mean it also has to do with the fact that at the time it's been 5 years since a metroid game and the first thing we get is an ugly game with big headed space dudes.

At the time the GameStop I worked at, and the district in general, had trouble keeping them in stock.
When is Square Enix' conference? I can't seem to find a schedule...
EDIT: They're really doing a poor job advertising this. Why isn't it on the E3 countdown site? From what I gather, they'll show something at 2:15 PM PDT.

Yeah, but I'm still convinced that if we'd ended with Corruption rather than Other M, the response to FF wouldn't have been nearly as hateful as it was. Fans never had an opportunity to properly blow up at Nintendo for the disaster Other M turned out to be. FF's announcement was that outlet.
And real talk, I'm still looking forward to FF. Does the chibi art style look a little ridiculous? Sure, but the gameplay looks solid (no small praise, considering MPT is my favorite game of all time) and it's being developed by Next-Level Games, who did the Mario Strikers games and Punch-Out!! Wii, as well as already having proved their 3DS chops with Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. I trust them.

Well looks like the Gold X Award is already taken then

Somehow I doubt the people who actually worked at the company during Bubsy even have a job anymore.

Well...there has to be a reason they changed name three times.

Oh I'm sure this game will be fine.

What could paw-sibbly go wrong?
this soccer game is sick
I feel bad that the only thing I'm excited about is Gravity Rush 2.
I am anime trash.

Yeah before this gets used to genuinely slate the game it's worth mentioning that they were a company of 8 people back then. Not sure how many of them remain but the company has 90 employees nowadays and they made the whole Syphon Filter series.

ye but that was so long ago, I'm not seeing any claws for alarm just yet
Wait a sec, those guys who made bubsy 3D went on to make the Syphon Filter games.
Days gone still looks bland as fuck but hey we could be wrong
I know who saved that guy from the massive horde of zombies.
[sp]Bubsy comes flying on his rocket and makes purrfect cat puns that put the zombies in a catatonic state, before floating off into the distance.[/sp]
I can't help but share the sentiment that, while their presentation was top notch (and a beacon of how to show games off at E3), Sony's conference didn't have as much substance as their previous years and honestly felt a little disappointing. I can't wait to get a PS4+PSVR, but I left this conference talking about fewer games I'm excited about than last year's.
Anyway, I can't wait to see what Nintendo brings to the table- on top of that, I hear squeenix is gonna show some shit off this week (starting tomorrow), so that should be fun as well.
To be fair to Sony, they know how to play up a crowd. They played a compelling hero against the atrocious Xbone reveal back in 2013 and last year's conference blew everyone's minds despite all their "holy grail" announcements having massive asterisks that meant they... weren't really that exciting once the initial hype wore off. They're very good at "winning" E3 even if they don't have much by dressing it all up well.

While this is somewhat true, I'm more happy to have a focus on games coming down the line than talk of new gimmick motion controls or over emphasis on VR. They just gave what I wanted to see, up coming games. Wasn't a big fan of all the ones they showed, would have liked some P5 and FFXV shown more than they were but non the less some interesting looking games that help me justify dropping the $$ on a system
