let the world tell the story.
And if you ask me, every game needs to be something like this.
wow they confirmed there's no partner for link this time that's kinda lame
I hope that there are other combative 'Partner Characters' in-game. Wolf Link looks cool and all, but it'd be nice to have a more varied cast of allies in combat, like maybe a support archer or something like that.
wow they confirmed there's no partner for link this time that's kinda lame
Thank god. I don't know about everyone else, but I think Skyward Sword sorta broke me on the whole buddy system.
The trailer doesn't show any characters, towns, or anything! It feels like they're going for a Shadow of the Colossus/Dark Souls vibe for the environment and that really worries me. The gameplay definitely suggests it.
Like they said in the beginning, they drop you into the game without a whole lot of information about the story and it feels like you'll be learning and discovering the story as you play. They may want to keep things like towns and other characters under wraps so people can discover stuff for themselves.
wow they confirmed there's no partner for link this time that's kinda lame
finally, no more "LINK THERE IS A LADDER TRY CLIMBING IT" as I am literally about to climb it
wow they confirmed there's no partner for link this time that's kinda lame
Link is a strong, independent male who needs no partner
wow they confirmed there's no partner for link this time that's kinda lame
They probably want people to feel isolated and alone in this big, expansive world, and even from the footage they've shown off here I can get that vibe. Personally, I'm all for it.
Some of the tooltips for the items you pick up mentions trading though
I'm sure there will be towns and whatnot, but at the same time it's very difficult to do proper character development and storytelling in an open world. It feels like they carved out a niche and are now totally abandoning it. Letting "the world tell the story" isn't what Zelda has or should ever be about.
honestly with the empty, almost barren atmosphere of the game I think a partner would take away from the general feel of the game. It wouldn't feel as if you're alone, the last human in a land, looking at the remnants of what is probably hyrule when Goddess Midnavi reminds you to listen to useless advice
wow they confirmed there's no partner for link this time that's kinda lame
i mean they tried to give it a feeling like the first Zeldas, so having no partner is pretty on-key and a fresh change.
wow they confirmed there's no partner for link this time that's kinda lame
There's a 95% chance that people will think that's a good thing, after our last companion.
so, where is this game on the zelda timeline?
"No companion" Do you remember Fi, Master? FI. EVERY TIME YOU START THE GAME THE TUTORIAL RESETS FI.
The new Mario series amiibo is going to be released with a Mario Party 3DS game
so, where is this game on the zelda timeline?
How are we supposed to know? The game was just announced.
so, where is this game on the zelda timeline?
possibly after wind waker
That settles that, I suppose. Personally, I'm just fine with that.
Well at least you don't have Fi telling you that your Sheikasn Slate is running out of battery.
so, where is this game on the zelda timeline?
Guessing the timeline where the hero was defeated
Except there are Korroks.
possibly after wind waker
Looks more like after Link Between Worlds, cause the monk Oman Au told Link how he's aiding him to defeat Ganon, which he means the pig form.
Why havent we seen any Cucco's yet
Don't know if this was ever mentioned, Squeenix's livestream started like 30 minutes ago, and it's here here

It feels like they carved out a niche and are now totally abandoning it. Letting "the world tell the story" isn't what Zelda has or should ever be about.
Who are you to say what Zelda should be, though? It's up to the developers to decide that, and they've decided they want to try something new and different. I think you're jumping the gun a little, since it's obvious they're avoiding showing story related stuff, and the game comes out next year.
There must be a sniper assigned to keep Bill in his sights to ensure he keeps talking about amiibos
No towns or villages, personally I'm hype for that. It's gonna be divisive I can tell, but the more isolationist and Zelda 1 esque you are the more I'm interested
They're literally about to talk about how this LOZ ties into the original, so timelines theories will probably be put to rest soon.
Guessing the timeline where the hero was defeated
They just said that they are going to talk about how the new game ties in with the franchise after the break So maybe things will get clearer then
Oh shiiit we're getting information about how this game fits in with the rest soon
