Bad rats 2 is available next month?
Wow they easily outdid sony and nintendo
I have to admit, the description is very refreshingly tongue-in-cheek. "Prepare to gifting yourself"
Even better, from the same video description: "A real and original sucessor to the acclaimed (and hated) "Bad Rats: the rats revenge"."
I guess I was partly right. The guy talking about the zelda demo being leaked was just freaking out because he heard a rumor. While his twitter was private he tweeted about how he worded his tweet wrong. He might have deleted his twitter because people were bombing him with messages or something.

'rumor I heard on Etika's stream'
Well there's your problem!
Something I just noticed on the nintendo stream; the wiiu seems to tracking the voices of the players (the purple heart-monitor esque thing). Wonder if that's related to anything?

Nope. Sound meter for how much noise Link is making; stealth gameplay.
GUYS LINK HAS BECOME DIO BRANDO.
[sp]and he brought Wolf Link as his stand too[/sp]

That's character noise, it's how you determine how stealthy you're being in terms of sound if you try to sneak around.

That's just how much noise Link makes, for stealth purposes.
Yo, I love that stasis rune!
Oh wow, I'm dumb. I completely forgot about that part of the stream :v:
a shame, while the runes are cool but I guess we're not getting the boomerang or hookshot this time around.

Either a MSG or Fallout 4 reference, take your pick.
I love Link's expression every time the orb flies into his chest. "Wha... Hm. Alright..."

Don't just assume. They have bombs and bow/arrows, what makes you think there won't be other tools and items?
So is that it for all the announcements this E3?

We most definitely are, those things just aren't that early in the game. They're usually tied to dungeons.
i was joking about the rock launch, nintendo
now you can stasis rock launch golf
Awesome how many games are breaking their own moulds this year with God of War, LoZ and RE7.
GoW taking influence from games like TLoU, LoZ taking inspiration from Dragons Dogma and RE7 taking inspiration from Outcast.

There might be some Nintendo stuff tomorrow but the announcements and presentations wrapped up yesterday.

Because the inventory has a grand total of like, 9 item slots, plus the amiibo slot, and I don't expect them to make the inventory expand out as you gain more runes. They're most likely going for a more streamlined focus with items this go around, with only a handful of items that serve multiple functions.
The runes seem to basically be your 'special items'. Do shrines to gain runes for the slate, use the slate to help you explore and navigate around/through challenges. Recharge cooldowns like A Link Between Worlds. So instead of buying shit and not dying so you can keep it, they encourage you to find and earn them with isolated tutorial mini-challenges per rune.
Whether this means anything for Dungeons is a complete mystery.

I know they're changing things up but I highly doubt they'd remove iconic items like the boomerang or hookshot. Demo could have a limited inventory, inventory could be still a WIP, they could just be not showing us things on purpose like they've been doing with certain areas of the map.
This is just like the people saying "oh no there aren't any towns or other characters!!!" just because we haven't seen any yet.
I wonder if Link is getting a few temporary pets on his journey? Would be kind of a waste to only use the companion concept as an amiibo extra. Maybe Link can tame rare wild wolfs or stray dogs on his journey that act the same like Wolf Link?
Of course they'll die forever after getting poked holes in by moblins or obliterated by guardian deathlasers. Just to keep that sense of isolation :v:

Things like the hookshot or boomerang would probably be Rune powers, since they're already infinite remotely-detonated bombs and variants thereof. With how the game encourages doing things your way, I wouldn't be surprised if dungeons are also designed with this in mind.
Yeah, I imagine a lot of tools in previous games are now runes so that you can use them more freely.
Specifically, they were asked about the possibility of a female link, and Aonuma went "Well we thought that once, then thought 'Why not just make Zelda the protagonist?', but then thought 'If Zelda was the protagonist, what would Link do?', so we just decided it'd be easier not to do that."
It's pretty silly reasoning, probably would have been better had they said nothing. Still, nothing to get uproarous about.
I would like to see a game where Zelda is the protagonist (that's not the Wand of Gamelon). It's seems pretty lazy/unimaginative on the dev's part that they can't think of something for Link to do. Maybe be a partner like Zelda was in Spirit Tracks? Does he even need to do anything in the game if Zelda were to be the lead?

Yeah he really is Dogmeat isn't he. :v:
I still think an alt universe where Link and Zelda swap triforce pieces (link is wisdom and born into royalty, Zelda is Courage and born somewhere) is a cool idea :v:
Thardus, anyone?
