On another note, new video of Planet Coaster
was this the game that was supposed to be a spiritual successor to RCT?
Death Stranding and RE7 existing is such a great way to shit on Konami, people clearly want these sort of titles, experimental horror as well as high-production collaborations, and Konami just shit themselves
As stupid as Konami are being about their gaming division, let's be honest; their other divisions make so much ridiculous amounts of money that they could burn the gaming industry down and never give a shit again, and still be set.
Aonuma literally just said there will be towns, but they took them out of the E3 version so everyone can focus on the gameplay and not spoil the story.
And less than an hour ago they said there weren't any towns in an interview as well. Either somebody misspoke, or there really are no towns. Only tiny villages and settlemets, which is what they *did* confirm.
was this the game that was supposed to be a spiritual successor to RCT?
You're probably thinking of Roller Coaster Tycoon World, which has been a disaster so far in it's Early Access. This is an independent spiritual successor, but iirc some of the original RCT creators are also onboard. And it's really great in its current state. While Planet Coaster is more like RCT3, there's also Parkitect, which is more like RCT1+2. The latter also has mod support currently.
Still pissed I haven't seen any footage for Rising Storm 2 yet.
Oop, here's the E3 2014 sequence in-game!
So that brief clip they showed of Link fighting a guardian confirmed my hunch, fire makes thermal updrafts that push you up when gliding. The sword he has on his back during that footage has a sheath too, so I'm assuming that sword has some significance, at the very least it might be unbreakable
So the stream version is different from the floor version; the one out on the show floor doesn't let you go below the plateau, while the stream guys have the whole world but with the towns removed. I'm hoping we can get a demo of even just the plateau to download. It looks like a lot of fun.

Gamespot showed some Civ 6 gameplay and it looked really awesome.
was this the game that was supposed to be a spiritual successor to RCT?
Basically you got 3 rollercoaster games coming out, Rollercoaster Tycoon World, Planet Coaster and Parkitect and each have their own thing. Planet Coaster is in my humble opinion the most polished and best game at this moment along with features and looks. Its still in early alpha and some features are yet to be added but overal everyone is rooting for Planet Coaster. RCTW is the "true" successor to the RCT series but it switched developers 2 or 3 times and Atari is pushing it for release so they released it at the moment in a very rough state through Early Access. PC and RCTW share a lot of the same features with the exception that RCTW will fully support mods and Steam Workshop while PC is still unsure but it will have you share your ingame creations with others. Parkitect is a spiritual successor to RCT 1 and RCT 2. Not much to be said about this title other then its also in early access and that is pretty polished and playable.
Ah I was right, this shrine is just a puzzle room with no rune, but instead focuses on using what you have and your reward is a spirit orb Really clever of Chiko to use the magnet to get rid of the spike balls
Holy fuck, if you haven't tried RE7 yet, do so
Holy fuck, if you haven't tried RE7 yet, do so
I ain't got Playstation Plus dude
I would like to point out that this E3 convinced me to get a PS4. Will most likely get one when the price drops just a bit further
Holy fuck, if you haven't tried RE7 yet, do so
I wonder if it'll ever come to PC- the game certainly will Also, apparently the demo stars a completely different character than who will be in the main game. A similar PT situation, I guess.
Square enix's e3 right now, is just trailers.
Who the hell let this woman play :goodjob:
So some give you an ability and act as a tutorial, requiring you to solve their puzzle with that ability, while others don't but are more freeform and allow multiple solutions.

A lot of these puzzles give me a real Portal vibe.
I hope the NX will be able to up the game's graphics even more than it currently is. Right now it looks pretty good, but man I'd love to see the new Zelda to take an even bigger step forward.

Just got round to watching the Sony conference, that was so weird compared to the previous years. Just break neck trailers, no massive complicated stage with a trillion screens, and just one guy that I didn't really recognise. Didn't seem to see any familiar faces apart for Andy House.
So is there any specific reason yet why there was no Kingdom Hearts 3 stuff this year?
So is there any specific reason yet why there was no Kingdom Hearts 3 stuff this year?
Apparently we're supposed to be getting more news during winter and not E3. We're getting news on 2.8 instead.

I really wish that before all this Scorpio and Neo stuff they just abandoned the PS3/360 game development. It's held back this current generation so much with all the downgrades that happen to make them work across platforms.

Almost none of the big AAA releases were even on either of those consoles. It pretty much already is abandoned. The last big AAA game release that was cross-gen was MGS5 last September.
