The Scorpio pisses me off so much because, in the words of Phil Spencer, "The Scorpio won't do anything for you if you don't have a 4KTV." Most powerful console ever, my ass.
You're soooo taking this out of context. He not saying you cannot use it on 1080p just that you won't be able to take full advantage of it unless you have a 4k TV.

No one was thinking you couldn't use it with a 1080p TV. But Spencer is literally saying that you shouldn't buy it if you don't have a 4K television, implying that the only improvement in graphical fidelity will be resolution

I never said that it was unusable for 1080p, but upon retrospective he is indeed saying you won't have the "full advantage" if you just have a high definition tv. Still, it makes it sound like the upgrades are just for making the games look in 4K, and that they'd look/behave exactly the same otherwise, and that's just silly for what will be a more expensive console.

I just thought "what the hell is Rev 2 ?"..
That seems to be because it's the middle of the day. Other portions of the videos (or maybe just different recording factors) seem to show that there's more color contrast later in the day and the greens pop a lot more.
I never knew the middle of the day was yellow.
will there be a stream of sega's conference?

New 3ds Action-RPG looks pretty interesting so far!
Seeing as it's from the same guy that had an important role in the first Final Fantasies I'm pretty optimistic about it.
That's a new 3DS RPG IP that'll sell better than Codename S.T.E.A.M.- which is great, cause this is Grezzo, who co-developed the OoT and MM remakes!
Game looks cute but nothing out of the ordinary honestly.
Still the fact that this is being developed by Grezzo makes me interested.

don't worry, when it comes to sonic game announcements i never get my hopes up
Eh, I like what they're showing with this Ever Oasis game. I think I'll give it a shot once it's available.
Yeah Ever Oasis looks interesting enough, kind of looks like a Kingdom Hearts game.
Reminds me a lot of the DS Crystal Chronicles games!
I like it. Seems like they put a lot of love into it. I do hope it has online play, at least.

the sonic cycle
Apparently there's going to be a huge announcement for sonic on the 25th anniversary (july) at a huge shinding at San Diego. EU fans have a chance to come to the San Diego via a contest by showing how much of a fan they are, and also have a chance to go to Summer of Sonic (tickets now sold out). If you're a big sonic fan, might be a good idea.
The website to submit those is bitlysonic25eu and is going to be open in about 30 minutes. And thats basically it for sonic at e3, sega also shown off some Gears Of War stuff and Yakuza stuff. There is also going to be some sonic stuff later on, teasers and talking with the main sonic guy.

I think this is being awfully nitpicky for what was a glimpse at what's shaping up to be a stellar game.
I mean it's fine to have preferences and not be a fan with the artistic direction Nintendo took but I'm not sure if it's worth it to be that upset about it.
then again, it's like a year until release also, there's obviously gonna be graphical changes
Sounded like she said "Mushroom Coumadin characters."
More about Scorpio, http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2016-06-15-why-scorpio-and-xbox-one-s-sales-dont-actually-matter
There are games that were written on Xbox One, and we continue to evangelize this tech of dynamic scaling - Halo 5's a good example - when Halo 5 runs it wants to max out at 1080p/60 frames per second or highest resolution/60 frames per second. As scenes get more complex, the vertical resolution will shrink... to keep the 60 frames per second. When that same game's running on Scorpio, because of the compute capability, it's effectively is going to run at its max resolution the whole time. And so you will see advantages like that when your Xbox One games are running on Scorpio. So that's why we continue to talk to developers about dynamic scaling because I think as compute capability goes up on the hardware, they kind of get it for free. Now, it's not going to make Halo 5 run with 4K pixels. The frame buffer is not a 4K frame buffer for the game. But it will run more solidly. And certain developers might go back and decide if they've built a 4K version for PC already for some of their games, they might go back and decide to enable a 4K version for the Scorpio Xbox when it launches.
