Is NieR: Automata also a PS4 exclusive, or is it just a timed thing?
[vid]https://giant.gfycat.com/CarefreeDependentIndianrockpython.webm[/vid] [editline]17th June 2016[/editline] I just noticed that someone is doing Praise The Sun at the start of the video :v:
he praises it for the whole video at least
he praises it for the whole video at least
He praised so hard that he summoned 1,000 phantoms.
Is NieR: Automata also a PS4 exclusive, or is it just a timed thing?
Ps4 only from what I understand. Also yeah Kegan it's the same composer so it's gonna be ear candy
I just noticed that someone is doing Praise The Sun at the start of the video :v:
His hands are actually facing the wrong way, so I'm actually not sure if he's really Praising the Sun. Or maybe he just forgot how it goes. :v:
NieR Automata looks sick.
...Is his weapons meant to hover like that in fights or is it intentional?
I'm already in love with the music, is it the same people who made the music for the first Nier?
Yep! Keiichi Okabe is coming back to compose for NieR: Automata, just like he did for NieR and Drakengard 3!
In which case, what was everyone's favorite part of E3?
gathering around a computer with anyone within earshot to laugh at ubisoft's presentation. That was pretty fun
In which case, what was everyone's favorite part of E3?
Microsoft restructuring console generations to imitate a mobile phone hardware ecosystem is HUGE for the industry. People don't realize how important this. I keep seeing "Why would you announce a new version of your old console in the same E3 that you announce your new console?" It's because they want to iterate on hardware more frequently and in order to do so they're going to allow forward compatibility. You don't need a flagship phone just to get the newest apps and android version, the one you bought last year will get all of this. Also Zelda.
I absolutely loved Zelda: Breath of the Wild and, to me, that was the best game shown this E3. But in terms of overall content, Sony definitely won.
Nintendo might not have won e3, but Zelda certainly did.

Sony had the best conference, Nintendo got me the most hype for a game/their future, and Microsoft/PC Gaming gave me (a PC Gamer) the most to look forward to. They all won to me, really.
Personally I can't say anyone won since mostly everyone had something that interested me except for Sony, Bethesda, and Ubisoft. Sony had a great show but looking back at it nothing actually interested me all that much. EA - Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2 Xbox - Xbox Play Anywhere, Gears 4, and Scalebound Nintendo - Zelda and Monster Hunter
Frankly I hate the mobile phone hardware ecosystem, so I see very little reason to be excited.
But you can't say that concepts like forward compatibility and consumer choice are bad business decisions. Theoretically you could buy every second iteration of Xbox under this new scheme and still have all games available to you.

It was barely a conference, it was just a trailer dump of only a few things that looked somewhat interesting. E3 conferences aren't supposed to be trailer dumps, they're supposed to be about the company showing and talking about what they've been doing and what they're going to be doing, Sony didn't really even do that. Ubisoft had more of a conference than Sony. The orchestra thing was cool but it didn't really add anything.

Sure, executives and stock are a potential misfire but Sony did strongly in this case. E3 isn't really looked at for tech or the future of the companies, and have basically become a gigantic cockwaving showmanship of video games and gimmicks.

While you may not have liked their selection (and I will say their VR part was dreadfully dissapointing), plenty of people did and loved how little discussion and talking there was, which is why people think Sony had the best showing.
E3 isn't really looked at for tech or the future of the companies
But that's exactly the whole point of E3 conferences? If they just want to show their trailers, they could just release them all at the same time on their website or something. The point of the conferences is to be a spectacle and show cool stuff and talk about what they're doing.
But that's exactly the whole point of E3 conferences?
I mean to the average consumer. E3 is so synoymous with console reveals, video game trailers, and big gaming news that it's all people seem to care about. I don't see people talking widely about Playstation VR, it's all about God of War, or Zelda and so forth. Though in hindsight I guess this statement is a little contradictory to my previous one.

Releasing them all on their youtube wouldn't have the same impact, even though that's kinda what they did.
