Wait so is there a new game?
While the dude was an ass he had a point about needing a smaller map, we had 2 people (west Algeria and UK) go inactive immediately and quite a few players with nothing but AI nations near them.
Restarting on one of the smaller maps would be better in the end imo
Can we do a 15 player map with elite AI that way it gives us room for more than 10 players but the AI isn't a pushover and is aggressive.
Elite AI requires every player be premium or pay 5k gold marks
Wut? That is pants on head retarded.
Could always find another game that's similar.
I remember playing a similar game that took place in space. Conquer 2D star systems instead of states. Microtransactions were only cosmetic. Was very fun.
Forgot the name of it, It's much more simpler though. There's only 1 type of unit but you can improve that unit via upgrades.
eh, the reason i like supremacy is because of the whole "the game is realtime" you get more time to do roleplay shit
if its not realtime then may as well be playing a paradox game
This game is realtime too. It's not turn based.
It's a shame that most people stopped playing.
In other news, some russian fuck who asked for map visibility expectedly turned on me.

I then proceeded to spend 10,000 in game currency to rush upgrade one fortress from level 1 to level 4.
Microtransactions are TERRIBLE.
We could try setting up a paradox save instead?
It's dead Jim
That was fast.

You know the game is dead when the game is using the corpses of "dead" players to shill for them.
can i use this thread to soapbox how bad the microtransactions are in this game

the game asked me to do a google survey and this was the last question
you know it's bad when there isn't even an option to say "please nerf microtransactions", it's either "please buff microtransations", "please add more microtransations", "please keep microtransations", "i don't care"
I wonder if someone can make a similar game, it doesn't seem hard or complicated at all.

it isn't. there are thousands of games like this that are easy to make and advertise.
It'd be nice if you could find that one space game you mentioned. Sounded neat.
Also are you Canada?

Just checked and you are, you me and spain are the only ones still playing this match lmao
Forgot to post this. Thought now is an appropriate time because everyone stopped playing.

I was sent this before the game even started. There wasn't even a US player so this confused the hell out of me.
I assume that this was either Morocco or Spain because me staying out of US would benefit both of them if they decided to invade AI controlled USA.

Spain is now inactive so it's just us lol.
Definitely wasn't me since I have little interest in annexing ameripoors, rather just gobble up Africa.
Looks like you're right about Spain tho, thought he would have stuck around given he was stomping Italy for a cool minute.
I am Spain and didn't send that message, but I left this game and another one I was playing where I was US and had the whole of the american continent, Greenland and most of Africa because it was taking too much time out of my university studies.
Damn all of my games so far have been shit.
1st game was this game when it was ruin by a spastic trying to prove a point that never needed to be proven.
2nd game was this game where the host is like a master of this game spread his countrys like a virus, and everyone is pretty much powerless to stop him because all the actually well off nations went afk because they saw his country and was like "nope"
3rd game is when this guy used microtransactions to build and constantly repair his squadron of bombers to destroy everyone in the early stages of the game.
4th game was my noob game what we get randomly placed in where I suddenly realised that the nation that's kicking everyone's ass is much much much higher rank than any of us.

There has never been a moment where "damn I've been evenly matched" it's always "well I'm fucked I guess"
I posted this on the Supremacy forums.
I ended up dropping $5 on this game during a 1000% bonus sale. It gave me about 150,000 units of currency, which pretty much made me a god because I could make bombers and just destroy anyone by sending an airstrike, repairing my planes for the cheap price of like half a cent worth of premium currency, and repeat.
My current enemy caught me doing this and now he's doing the same thing with his naval units. He can repair his cruisers and battleships mid combat because it doesn't count as an engagement like soldiers vs soldiers, since it's long range. It's very cheap too because it doesn't really consider the quality of the unit, just the quantity. To "repair" 300 soldiers by 10% costs 8,000 premium currency, to repair 10 bombers (mid flight, by the way) by 10% costs 1,000 premium currency.
I get that the game needs money to survive, but this is a little too far and ruins my enjoyment of the game.
Then a moderator posted this
Denouncing GM use and its users is a breach of the forum rules. Comments containing such content will be deleted, and action will be taken against their posters, if necessary.
It is actually against the forum rules to denounce the use of premium currency (GM/Goldmarks).
e) The denunciation of Goldmark is not permitted and leads to an immediate warning. The use of Gold is an explicit part of the game. The same applies to the premium account.
But a little disclaimer, I don't think he was talking about my post. Someone else posted about my hypocrisy in using goldmarks whilst complaining about them, but ended up getting that post deleted. I don't know if genuine criticism about goldmarks counts as denouncing it's use.
Honestly the microtransactions are raw ass but with a decent FP game things could go alright. It's kind of ridiculous that everyone drops out before the main part of the game has even started, which is when factories come into play. This game is a lot more fast paced and fun for a micromanager once you're commanding a vast amount of fast replenishing resources. This one probably would've been a fun game if a certain someone wasnt so obliged to prove a completely moot point.
Although tbh Im still having fun racing you to the win score, Roflburger :v: the micromanagement and NPC slaughter is more rewarding than it seems when you get a good invasion preparation and minimize your losses. for a game that I rarely have to check up on, its p. Fulfilling.
I found that game that I was talking about earlier!

Unfortunately premium membership is required to make your own game ($12USD for 3 months), other than that the game does not have the same awful garbage Supremacy 1914 does.
It's unlikely that we'll have our own facepunch game, but it's a MUCH MUCH better game than the garbage that is known as Supremacy 1914.
