Fallout Thread V26: At least it's not a Nuclear Winter

I cheat achievements all at once in BGS games anyway after I'm done with the game.
Although it sorta seems suspicious when you have achievements cheated in for DLC that you don't own :v: But w/e
I just want someone to add proper pathing to Jamaica Plain so settlers actually use the stairs in the plaza instead of walking around the outside of the town.

Something something SAM..
Something something SAM..
exactly. SAM helps me keep the satisfaction of having 100% of achievements even after the game adds more from DLC I don't want to buy or play.

If you do please make it a typewriter with ink ribbons. :v: I would love you forever.
I don't know about ink ribbons. Wasn't that a thing you had to go find out in the world? I'm not sure how I feel about saves being tied to that. If we had a Mod Configuration Menu, I'd be willing to throw that in no sweat.
Typewriter, however, is in all cases perfect.
I keep having this issue where I will end up disabling a plugin, either because I updated a mod or decided to uninstall it. I get to the main menu fine, but when I try to load my save I crash when the "This save relies on disabled content" notification pops up.
But, if I disable all of my mods, I get the notification, and can load into the game perfectly fine.
Has anyone else had this happen or know a cause or a workaround? It's annoying to have to disable all my mods, load my old save, make a new clean one, load all my mods, load the new save, then reacquire all the crap I lost, just because some mod that I updated combined two of the .esp's into one and is now making the whole game shit itself.

I think using scripts to dynamically add ink ribbons to specific leveled loot lists would work.
You'd never run out, but it'd be a rare enough resource for you to consider when to save.
Just use [t] don't use [img]
also don't link directly from 4chan, re-upload.

Actually you didn't really fix it :v: but its still better then what you did before.

So i saw this on 4chan

I actually use SAM for the opposite reason, when I start a new run or return to a game after a long time I reset all of the achievements so I can enjoy that new game feel again
[editline]7[/editline]
Also where can you get Fallout 4 the cheapest, I need to gift it to someone

Try using F4SGE to remove/rename the missing plugin in the save's plugin list. Renaming generally avoids any issues with items disappearing, I think.

Scattering the ink ribbons around wasn't my problem, Beth has a real good system going for loot. I could even make them more common at higher ranks of Scavenger perk that way if I put in the effort. The problem was "how likely is it for the player to be caught in a situation where they have to shut down the game, but can't save without searching for an item? Do I want to potentially put the player in that situation? Do I want to be that player?" Which is why it's more likely for me to implement it when an MCM comes around; I can leave it turned off by default, and then if you turn it on and get caught in that situation it's probably your own damn fault :v:
Any new stuff from the Beta?

same thing for me.. in payday 2. i didnt wanted the dlc and to work hard for those sweet sweet mask.
The end has come.
Why? its no different from Steam workshop
Bethesda.net mods will never pick up, I mean you can't get tiddy there.

It happened to me too, and with BF3/4, atleast on those last two there were achievements that give you camos and weapons, i didnt gave a shit about the others added later with dlcs and patches

I kinda like having a mod source where the weird parts of the modding community can't put their stuff.

I was mixing some environmental mods and see how it turned out, better than i thought and mostly no crashes
Cars, Streets and other stuffs textures are from this mod
(its still in beta, and i dont recommend installing all textures at once, most specular maps needs some work)

The patience people have to build stuff like this holy shit. I quit over something as simple as "I don't like how this looks.

Why everyone take the DARKEST enb for making the game beautiful? It goes very badly with the ugly grass of the game.
Why everyone take the DARKEST enb for making the game beautiful? It goes very badly with the ugly grass of the game.
i dont have ANY enb installed, and those are not the vanilla grass
the vanillas ones looks way worse than that
also most of them were taken during the sunset, which is why it looks darker
According to the poster, loading mods from just downloading manually still work.
but save files are flagged if they use mods, so they'll probably be disabled when not using the beth.net

Another one from /fog/. Looks like custom animations should be easy

[editline]9th April 2016[/editline]
Trainwiz says there is no native support for holsters
The thing is, I'm pretty sure guns do holster in the game, they just turn invisible.
If you have a mod that adds a flash light, like the Deagle mod, if you holster it while its turned on you can see the light shining down from your hip.
if custom animations are going to be easy, i hope some of the first geck mods are fixing the inconceivable flaw the fallout 4 has had from the beginning:
making sniper rifles have right handed bolts instead of left handed ones, and adding pump and lever action based weapons.
I kinda like having a mod source where the weird parts of the modding community can't put their stuff.
It won't lock out only the weird parts of the mod community though
Anything that "might" (big quotes on might) have something that could be copyrighted will be outright rejected without even blinking. Think of the Nexus, but with even more drama.

Yeah it auto-follows the thread for some reason, disable that. I had to spend a good 10 mins cleaning my inbox.
