I wish Bethesda took a page from CDPR/Witcher 3 and released this bite-size DLC for free, instead of charging $5 for what is basically a mod.
Now that a few folks have the Creation Kit in their hands... has anyone made any progress on the critically requested mod that makes gas masks and other non-power armor masks have the power armor voice effect?
I thought that Beth had given up on these mini-dlc's ever since the Oblivion fiasco, and even then they had the excuse that Microsoft charged you to update your game on Xbox 360 so they were just covering the cost.
Apparently you no longer need Settlement Keywords. From the Nexus forums I gather than the WW update also fixed the keyword cap. I tried removing SK and replacing all settlement mods (like OCDecorator) with their non-SK versions and everything seems to work with WW. FYI.
I'm confused, all I've used is Homemaker without using settlement keywords and these patches don't help. It loads the game for like, 5-10 seconds then crashes in the intro menu. Oh duh I'm supposed to use it with settlement keywords. Where is just a homemaker patch? Edit: Fucking got it, homemaker and Wasteland workshop now work together.
just got done building a sort of raider prison, ill be visiting it from time to time to cleanse the cages and get free XP and loot :v: [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/282974068603101334/1621673AB25E7D027A6A43AEAA8D4B93D5312EDA/[/t] [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/282974068603111697/C086D10BBC466B693C74683CAAFE21435959B7BA/[/t] i plan on expanding it further, but getting all the fertilizer for the massive amounts of jet required is tough on a fairly new character

Here's an interesting read: https://medium.com/war-is-boring/how-a-hipster-city-planned-to-survive-nuclear-armageddon-90893e1c3650#.v4lzh0lky So while there were no actual vaults, American cities in the 1950 could have successfully evacuated a lot of people to safety in case of a nuclear attack. Is Fallout's Portland now a major power, considering most of its residents would have survived the war, rather than just the few that were hiding in vaults?

Thanks for the idea.

Seeing that this guy has completed alot of shit in the game, enough that he has the broken Teleporter just laying around, it bugs the shit out of me to see that there's LOADS of shit still in Sanctuary, like now because I use Spring Cleaning, I don't even have those fucking leaves and spots of rubbish and shit laying around.
It's more content than Horse Armor, at least
If it's true that it removes the keyword cap, I hope they implement at least that part for free, at least for the sake of mod compatibility.
I wish Bethesda took a page from CDPR/Witcher 3 and released this bite-size DLC for free, instead of charging $5 for what is basically a mod.
Not to be cynical but I'm fairly certain CDPR cut those things from the main game and gave them back as "free dlc" for PR. And it worked.
It's more content than Horse Armor, at least
At least horse armor had the pretense that there was a quest/story, workshop just dumps a bunch of crap and leaves without a word. I'm feeling a bit salty after this gigantic disappointment.
come on, it was a bunch of new workshop content and it was only 5 dollars, don't be so entitled
Not to be cynical but I'm fairly certain CDPR cut those things from the main game and gave them back as "free dlc" for PR. And it worked.
Since there's next to no evidence of that throwing around accusations of that kind is misleading. If you got the season pass for F4 you're gonna get the biggest DLC they've made for any game to date soon and then there's even more after that.
come on, it was a bunch of new workshop content and it was only 5 dollars, don't be so entitled
When you can get mods for free that adds more stuff, it adds to the expectation.
Since there's next to no evidence of that throwing around accusations of that kind is misleading. And I do have the season pass, even before they upped the price to an unreasonable amount. Maybe I am the one being unreasonable but when fallout is in my favorite three franchises it comes with unrealistic quality expectations.
I thought that Beth had given up on these mini-dlc's ever since the Oblivion fiasco, and even then they had the excuse that Microsoft charged you to update your game on Xbox 360 so they were just covering the cost.
Did you forget about the house DLC for Skyrim?
come on, it was a bunch of new workshop content and it was only 5 dollars, don't be so entitled
"only five dollars" for you adds up for a lot of money to us in other countries you know. Stuff that is "only five dollars" here in Brazil ends up costing variable range of prices according to which taxes they feel like stuffing on it but never less than 30R$ and usually more than 50R$. I'm not entering the merit of this dlc in Fallout 4 or not but dismissing anyone doing this kind of stuff because "it's only five dollars" is not a good point.
When you can get mods for free that adds more stuff, it adds to the expectation.
you absolutely cannot use the fact that the devs let you mod the game (which a lot of devs don't even do) as a reason they shouldn't be charging for their own DLC, come on if you don't think it's worth the price, don't buy it?...
"only five dollars" for you adds up for a lot of money to us in other countries you know. Also it's common sense to not buy a season pass when the DLC will be varied in quality and quantity.
so remember how someone joked about making jangles a follower a few pages back? you got your wish you mother fucker
so remember how someone joked about making jangles a follower a few pages back? you got your wish you mother fucker
THIS IS NO GAME, HUMAN
It doesn't deserve a 5/10. More like a 7.5 or 8. It truly isn't as bad as they think
Wasteland Workshop is less than most settlement dlcs, and its 5 dollars. This is just reused assets:the dlc.
they added an entire new construction kit for settlements, the entire alphabet and every possible number in neon signs, creature caging and arenas, what the hell are you on about
they added an entire new construction kit for settlements, the entire alphabet and every possible number in neon signs, creature caging and arenas, what the hell are you on about
It didn't add any new gameplay features (yeah, there's the cages and arenas, but they're not really that impressive), just a few new assets and some reused ones. I'm not upset about it but I don't think it's worth getting unless you have the Season Pass anyways or mods end up needing it. edit: also some of the choices for what to add were weird three buses, but no other cars? a small concrete tileset, but nothing new for the old ones? big powered doors that are part of a wall, but no unpowered versions of those doors or powered versions of the small doors?
speaking of reviews, i was actually surprised by the backslash fo4 is getting on metacritic from user reviews i expected it to get all the praise and whatever that comes with a bethesda game, but people are actually giving otherwise this time
there was a thing that happened on /v/ where a lot of people were purposely weighing down the user score. notice how people who gave it ridiculously low scores usually make blantant stupid claims like "graphics are from a 2000's game" "outdated animations" "more buggier than AC:Unity" etc etc like come on
And still no actual not broken toilets Who builds an already broken toilet in their homes?
Here you go buddy. There are two(!) clean, animated toilet seat mods, one that adds toilet paper and even one that adds a turd, for immersion!
It didn't add any new gameplay features (yeah, there's the cages and arenas, but they're not really that impressive), just a few new assets and some reused ones. I mean we're getting survival mode for nothing, and they already dropped a few new bits of settlement content amongst other things, for free people are ridiculous
Sorry to intrude once again in this Fallout 4 galore, but ... does anyone have any suggestions about a New Vegas mods lists? Feel free to suggest the wildest mods out of there, except for custom campaigns/quests
it was only five bucks! was anyone actually expecting gameplay features? I mean we're getting survival mode for nothing, and they already dropped a few new bits of settlement content amongst other things, for free people are ridiculous
Again, I don't mind. It's just that it's 5 dollars for a very minor addition. Comparing it to the five dollar horse armor DLC is hyperbole but it's still smaller than Hearthfire, which isn't worth getting unless that's your kind of thing or for mod compatibility.
