Thought this was pretty neat. Adds new supermutant stuff and gives them HD texures.

Also puts nightkin back in.
Nightkin for FO4 make no sense in terms of canon but I love them anyways
And I was wondering what was going on with the Glowing Mutant Hounds, good to have a fix for that.

I don't think I've ever come across this guy. Where is he?
[editline]17th April 2016[/editline]
Is there a list somewhere of all the hidden encounters and how to find them?
My Sanctuary workshop outright disappeared. And now it won't let me complete the "Sanctuary" side quest because of it :v:

I hope that one day someone replaces the hounds with Centaurs from concept art, they looked sick

I'm holding out for seeing them in some DLC, maybe even far harbor considering what the description said, something about the area being way more irradiated
They should have been abominations you only find in Salem and other really spooky areas.
Would have been cool to see a kind of centaur that's just a horribly mutated bundle of people merged with walls among the rest of the mashed flesh, whose only job is to flail and scream if you get too close, acting as the super mutant equivalent of proximity mines/alarms.
Understandable that stuff like nightkin/centaurs aren't around anyway since they don't have direct access to FEV anymore.
You can't deny the male SS' silver shroud lines are better though.
It seems to me that Brian Delaney put more effort into good voice acting, and therefore wound up having the better voice acting in general. Courtenay Taylor, on the other hand, seemed to enjoy the job a hell of a lot more, so it seems more...genuine, I guess?
There is definitely a way to word this post that doesn't sound like I'm shitting on her VA skills but it's like a quarter to 1 AM and I should be sleeping not trying to come up with posts
Does anyone else feel that the whole [sp]"Robobrains being a nessesary evil"[/sp] thing in Automaton is undercut just a liiiiiiiiiittle bit by the fact that there's human functioning AI around every fucking corner? I mean Codsworth's mind straight up developed a coping mechanism in the same way a human would after all that time being isolated from his family, and he's just a store model butlerbot!

i think robobrains have an advantage in the way that they're able to act more efficiently with the brain being a super computer.

According to automatron/old world blues, most of the robots are just personality programs running on top of the rudimentary OS, I'd assume brainbots have access to far more computing power.
Codsworth only developed as much as he did as he ran continuously for 200+ years, same with certain other robots in 3/nv and probably in the first two as well.
Hey, I made a mod. It changes the Laser Musket into a recharger type weapon like the ones in New Vegas. Why don't you go and check it out? Some comments on your thoughts and criticisms would be great.

So, since I finished the game one time, I wanted to add some mod to enhance my second play-though, and currently, I'm slightly confused on the Settlement mods.
There is like a gazillion mods, all doing the same thing, but every single one of them have at least something broken or incompatible. Or just plain ugly
I know that I should wait for the CK but I find the vanilla settlement system limited, and I just need some simple, sturdy looking wooden walls. Homemaker has this but there is too much unwanted stuff in that mod
Waiting for more quality mods and the mod manager/loaders.
Is there an ETA on the Survival mode update? I've decided to replay New Vegas while I wait for the update and do an "Astoundingly Average" run where I get all my skills to 50 and increase them evenly if I pass that.
In my current playthrough I've been really going all out with the minutemen and settlement features, to the point where I actually use the flaregun/artillery strike beacons and I have to say that it's been really satisfying. Personally speaking my favorite part is linking settlements and actually developing them so that not only do I have a shitload of resources, but I also don't have to deal with them getting attacked.
It's to the point now where I've turned county crossing into my super hub for resources and as a result is coated in pack caravans. I've also got more water than I know what to do with thanks to multiple settlements having industrial water purifiers.
So, there must be a better way to remove infections in Survival. Making Antibiotics requires INT 7 plus a perk, or you can find the AntiBiotics. Problem is they are SUPER RARE, haven't found ANY at all in almost 4 hours whilst searching every chem, cooler and first aid box I see.
Infection would be okay, except that it keeps pulling between 20-50% of my entire health every 3-4 mins, and I gotta use a stim, which in turn dehydrates the shit outta me, burning through my stim and water supplies like mad. Are there any doctors close to Sanctuary at all? Cause this shit is just destroying my playthrough. :suicide:

There's a couple roaming doctors that you have a chance of encountering near Sanctuary. Apparently Anderson has a chance of being near a campfire to the east of Concord and a few other places. There's also Weathers, but I'm not sure what his route is.
The only stationary doctors that I know of that are the closest to Sanctuary are Bethany, who is near AcrJet Systems, and Patrica Montgomery in Covenant.

I was super let down by Salem. I was hoping for some post apocalyptic Witch Trials shit.
But no. Mirelurks.
Strange question but after the Doom 4 Beta ended did anyone else's FO4 flag up as uninstalled on steam?
I think I have almost finished exploring the Commonwealth. I'm not checking up what locations I have left, but I think all I'm missing are a bunch of places in the far south and the Glow, and maybe some locations in the coast.
I might have left some markers discovered but unexplored, but I think I have already explored enoug, and it's time to do actual faction quests and advance the story.
I wanted to side with the Minutemen, but I'm not getting any more quests from Preston. Have I already helped every settlement in Boston? Or do I have to do quests for other factions before he gives me more?

You need to punch institute into dick if you want Minutemen ending pretty much.

as much as Super Mutants don't make sense in the Commonwealth, Centaurs would make even less sense, considering they're the result of Super Mutants throwing too many bodies into an FEV vat and dragging out the mutated mess of organic matter.
(this is of course if we assume that it is possible for [sp]the Institute to have been creating hundreds of Super Mutants and teleporting them to the surface for no good reason[/sp] in the first place)
Finally got to a doctor. Thank you tyanet
I think I'm just gonna get out the beta and go back to regular survival with the survival re-balance. Cause the damage rates for Beta Survival are still an absolute Joke. I get hit by 2 .38 rounds and I'm almost dead, I hit a dude with 5 10mm rounds and he either has a slither left, or finally drops. Hit a guy twice in the head with 10mm rounds and he still has a slither of health left. Like. I thought they said enemies will be less bullet spongy?

[sp]Pretty sure the institute just dabbled in FEV. They wouldn't have directly created the ones on the surface but then again the Institute is just badly written overall.[/sp]

[sp]no, they definitely did. the institute is the only place you can find FEV, and Virgil is proof of their creation.
It still doesn't justify the hundreds of respawning Super Mutants plaguing the Commonwealth but it's the only explanation we get. At least they're not the Mariposa breed like we saw in 3. that's one thing that actually does make sense about them.[/sp]
[Editline]Edited:[/Editline]
whoops my mistake. Was confusing the mental image of the Mariposa mutants from New Vegas with the Vault 87 mutants from 3. disregard last two sentences.
Yeah the mutants in fallout 3 are completely separate and come from the FEV experiments conducted in vault 87.
Unlike fallout 4, their numbers are explained by each mutant having an overwhelming urge to take captives to drag back to the vault and create more mutants. Fallout 4's mutants have a lot of dialogue to suggest a similar compulsion, even Strong will occasionally look around technologically advanced locations like labs and hospitals before muttering "no green stuff here..." but It's not as if the mutants in 4 are dragging settlers back to the institute, so how are there so many?.
I really hope we get a DLC that explains the mutants, because "institute did it!" is totally lame and doesn't come close to being a good enough explanation. Maybe it could come with a decent personal quest for strong that actually resolves his milk issue.
