Fallout Thread V26: At least it's not a Nuclear Winter - Games

Still haven't got F4, but I feel like I don't even want to anymore. Looking at the brilliant storyline carefully crafted by Bethesda which has more holes in it than a North Korean submarine my only thought is "Jesus Christ Howard, give the damn assets to the Obsidian already so they will make a proper Fallout".

Im not going to lie to you, after my first play-through i genuinely felt ripped off, but im having a lot of fun on subsequent ones. Fallout 4 is a lot of fun and does a decent job at what it set out to do, but it's a terrible fallout game with a bad story, dumb factions with stupid logic, frequent plot inconstancy, a protagonist with an irritating set personality and a bit of an obsession with people and stuff from before the war showing up fine and healthy like the nukes went off yesterday. Once you get over that stuff it has solid gameplay, decent voice-acting, and some very nice environments- it's the first recent fallout game that genuinely feels like it's set in a ruined retro-futuristic city instead of just the ruined 50's

It'd be neat if they added a way to extract brains for the robobrains.

Especially seeing as people will definitely reuse at least the code from Skyrim mods, if not animations and such too. All the official mod tools really allow compared to what we've got now is somewhat easier scripting (as a lot of that sort of mod stuff can be done in there instead of multiple programs) and access to anything that FO4Edit can't changed/doesn't have decoded yet. Of course, versions of the unofficial mod tools with full Fallout 4 support will help, especially when it comes to things like NifSkope, but even that's not necessary, based on the amount of custom models people are already getting ingame.

I can't believe it took me this long to find out that you can literally kill off the Railroad at any point in the game and it doesn't matter at all, hell you don't even need them to decode the courser chip you can just do it yourself.

Yeah. IMO The railroad is literally the most useless faction in the entire game. Everything about them just screams "Shit the game releases in 4 months and we need another faction".

I know the run I'm doing when Automatron comes out Name the Sole Survivor Robotnik and build robits
