I really want to see decent power armor execution moves. The ones we have in vanilla seem really rushed and lame (briefly and silently impaling eneimes, even on blunt weapons like baseball bats is crap). If you are wearing power armor, execution moves should make you feel unstoppable, you should be able to pick people up and crush their heads, lift them over your head and throw them across rooms, grab them and pull their arms off- they didn't really make the most of just how brutal power armor looks imo.
On the subject of power armour kill-moves anyone else get a bug where if you execute an Unarmed crit while wearing PA you just stand there and do nothing?

yep I get this.
One thing I wish Fallout 4 had was more types of "Over-Armor", so that it could be on par with Skyrim or other Bethesda games. As well as adding unique "Under-Armor" pieces and missing helmets to go with each set that when the full set is worn you get extra bonuses.
We've got 5 in the base game, and 1 more added via dlc, but i feel like were missing quite a few gaps for armor.
Leather = Leather
Hide = Raider
Iron = Metal
Steel = Robot
Ebony = Combat
Glass = Synth
Missing Gaps could be filled like this:
Elven = Ancient Alien [sp]Styled like Lorenzo's Crown[/sp]
Orcish = Super Mutant
Dwarven = Mirelurk Chitin
Dragon = Death-claw Hide
Daedric = Frame-less Power Armor [sp]as in your don't get into a frame, and use regular player animations, similar to how Lanius wears his custom armor without a frame.[/sp]
Elven = Ancient Alien [sp]Styled like Lorenzo's Crown[/sp]
noooooooooo
Also tiered gear is more of a fantasy RPG trope and I would really rather not have it in Fallout. I like what they've gone for with everything being sidegrades (leather for energy, metal for ballistic, combat for both, robot is a heavier metal, etc.)
If you just mean there should be more armour in general, I think what they've got is acceptable though I certainly wouldn't mind more.

Oh good god no please. as far as im concerned that shit is as non-cannon as that heavy metal fallout game.

Good idea, Ive always wanted to wear a smaller versions of various super mutant gear since I saw it in fallout 3

Wow, he just can't stop making mods ! Really nice for him to work hard on this and share it to us. (giskard..) now we need the Enclave hazmat suit and officers suit and it would be perfect :v:
after finally getting my game fully functional again, without all the slowdowns and shit, in glorious 1080p, i decided to install some mods and reunited two old friends from the two previous games

This is the modding equivalent of getting all the gold bars out of the Sierra Madre.
Letting go isn't nearly as fun as cheating the system.

Well if ancient alien is a little too over the top for your tastes there's always plenty of other options to choose from to fit the same bill. For instance to fit the same "light but durable" situation elven falls into, you could have "Tire Rubber", or any numerous things.
Light but durable would pretty much be Synth armour wouldn't it.

Certainly not everyone's cup of tea mind you, but its not entirely secluded to just "fantasy rpgs" Especially in fallout 4's case. While a lot of things are easily "side grades" they all have tiered variants which are direct upgrades sans the weight differences. Not to mention how Power armor is a direct tier system, seeing as there is no legitimate reason for using t-60 or lower if you have X-01, aside from personal preference.
what does this even mean
He is saying that the person using those mods isn't letting go of the past (F:NV) but that holding onto the past (F:NV) is way more fun instead of accepting that those pieces of content aren't in F4
[editline]19th April 2016[/editline]
Also, nothing wrong with tier equipment, it gives a sense of progression and honestly even in the real world, military equipment follows a similar system.
Do you really think a pistol is going to outgun an automatic assault rifle or a big whopping machine gun? No, it is not. But F4 has all kinds of cool things like the gun upgrades and perks to make those guns still be competitive against bigger better weapons if the player dedicates to them.

But that's stupid and nothing like the gold situation.
But that's stupid.
Not really, its just a little quirky joke saying "man thats awesome to see that old stuff back in the game".
I don't think this warrants any more discussion, really.
Getting the gold... That's not the hard part. It's letting go.
Getting the gold... That's not the hard part. It's letting go.
The hard part is deciding how many drugs to get high on and how much stupid shit to dump to find out how much gold my naked bunnyhopping ass can carry

whoa, hang on, what version of the game you have? do you have the WW installed?
The headlamps of the X02 are broken because of the new DLC. The modders are aware of this and they fixed it internally, they will release the fix with the next big update (probably with the tesla version)
Is anyone here capable of making okayish texture reskins? I need some for my mod.

Alien were always canon and "ancient alien civilization" is now DEFINITELY canon and integrated in game. In fallout 1 it was still an easter egg, but in fallout 2 it really was canon because of skynet. and then you got the DLC / easter egg of fallout 3 and easter egg in new vegas. And that seal the deal in fallout 4 because your companion can see the alien ship and blaster, meaning they are physically present and that, AND you got a quest that totally confirms it (that i considers one of the best in game. I am not against alien in fallout, i think it's a very good addition but the fact that they made them responsible of the great war....)
I'm sure someone could reproduce mothership zeta in fallout 4, it's not like it couldn't be canon. Also, the soldier tercorien is one of the old pal of the SS during the war i think. It would fit very well in game.
I will forever loathe aliens in Fallout as a non easter egg.
Just because you don't like a part of a game doesn't mean it's not canon. Unless they say "this isn't canon you can stop complaining about the kid in the fridge and aliens now." Then it is canon.
It's like watching Star Wars and saying "Darth Vader being Luke's Father isn't canon because I didn't agree with it"

I don't think anyone really cares nor respects what Bethesda has to say about what's canon or not at this point tho :v:

If Bethesda actually gave a shit about canon then yeah the argument would be petty.
Just because you don't like a part of a game doesn't mean it's not canon.
Obviously I didn't actually presume to declare what is and isn't cannon. It was just a silly way of expressing my intense dislike for alien bullshit in fallout.
Fair enough having alien space-ships and blasters showing up as easter eggs, but anything more than that is just dumb imo.
It's just really jarring how the general tone of fallout has suddenly rocketed off into out right silliness with fallout 4. I get that past fallout games had their wacky elements, and I thought those were great, but those were always easter eggs or the antics and ravings of mad NPC's, now 4 has come along and there's stuff that's almost on the same level as the saints row series, only it tries to play it striate instead of for laughs.

I would argue it was closer to deciding midiclorions or whatever they were called were non cannon.
I'm all for having traits back just so wild wasteland would come back. Make (mostly) everyone happy. Separates silly and serious (mostly).
I know I'm late but are you gonna upload this?
Its actually a replacer for some "faces".
It replaces the most, silly ones, like the ASCII, public ocurrences....
And im unsure if replace the vault boy, Followers of the apocalypse or the Institute.
Its not impossible, its actually easy to add new items, but the creator only speak japanese and made a mess with the names and IDs
I'm all for having traits back just so wild wasteland would come back. Make (mostly) everyone happy. Separates silly and serious (mostly).
Its not even that I don't like the wacky stuff, I always played with WW. I feel the silliness added by wild wasteland had a lot more subtlety and dark/mature humour than the stuff we are seeing in 4. The dude in a fridge joke made in nv for example, was much funnier because it was ridiculing the infamous idea that someone could survive a nuke in a fridge instead of supporting it. The kid in the well was much darker because the 200 year old kid down there was actually dead. Most of the additions also were small references here and there, like swapping a corpse with a character from a TV show or internet running gag, and not actually replacing slices of the game's plot with unfunny weirdness.
Not to derail this conversation but anyone know where I can get working animation tools for F4, or are those still only for those "in the know"? I was hoping to make new animations for new weapons and consumables (all drugs, etc)
I'm still waiting for a double-action revolver animation.
I'm waiting for someone to modify the submachine gun's model and change the animations so that it has a front pistol grip like this
