that's weird
I guess in a day and age where helicopter parents don't let their kids play outside, this is the equivalent of a future murderer killing stray cats for fun
On that topic, I like the Pacify perk but I always laugh when say I pacify a Gunner and make him fight for me, then he kills all his friends and says something like "That'll teach you to fuck with the Gunners!"

So I played around with installing some patches and the load order, and now I can't even start the game. I launch f4se, steam says "preparing to launch" the fo4 launcher opens for some reason, I click play, and then it says "preparing to launch", and the launcher opens, I click play, and this just loops this forever What in the fuck [editline]22nd April 2016[/editline] [t]http://puu.sh/orrxY/17e02fdb6d.png[/t] What the fuck is causing this
Yall might find this interesting (assuming you haven't already given it the once over) https://tcrf.net/Fallout_4
[t]http://i.imgur.com/JZ1QMxl.jpg[/t]
I disabled every mod, tried launching it without f4se by using the normal launcher, tried launching it though steam, through nmm, through just the exe, and nothing works. I just get this loop though the launcher What the fuck is going on, can anybody help me?

You say after disabling every mod and running it through the normal exe that you get stuck in this loop? After disabling every mod make sure your plugins.txt is clean and read-only, just in-case. Fallout4.esm should be the only thing in it. While disabling all your mods there may have been some text left over which makes the game thing you're missing masters which causes instant crashes like that. If all else fails, put all your mod files and folders somewhere safe and reinstall the game.
My biggest concern is I really REALLY don't want to remove all my mods My save relies on a ton of those mods and the way Fallout 4 is, I can't just make a new character. I've built all this settlement stuff, progressed so much. I would be so pissed if I had to restart

If that doesn't work, try re-enabling all your wanted mods and patches as normal, and see if it works. If it doesn't try logging out of steam and logging back in, then launching the game again. [editline]April 22nd, 2016[/editline] OH ALSO if you run NMM without changing enabled plugins or the load order, the program won't reset your plugins.txt to read-only and it'll get overwritten and just have "fallout4.esm" in it when you start the game again and fuck up a lot of things. I learned this the hard way.

The folder is usually in Documents\My Games\Fallout4.
Here's something pretty curious: I made a mod that disables the script for Danse [sp]after he's discovered as a synth[/sp] to be hated by the BOS and took him with me on the Mass Fusion quest. He actually says a lot of things in response to Proctor Ingram, and sometimes about the environment in general. For instance when Proctor Ingram said she'd be coming with me, Danse said "We appreciate the offer, Ingram". Or just before I head in to the core, and Ingram says "watch out there's a bunch of rads in there", Danse says "Don't worry, if the rads turn you feral, I'll put you out of your misery". [sp]pretty obvious cut "Danse lives and isn't hated by anyone" content but just thought I'd share[/sp]
that's weird
no it's RP as fuck [editline]22nd April 2016[/editline] :vs: [editline]22nd April 2016[/editline] I haven't played with the pacification perk at all though [editline]22nd April 2016[/editline] Would be fun if you could actually make pacified targets actually your temporary followers, for as long as you like. And as many as you like (to a limit, like 15-20 followers/pacified/etc.) [editline]22nd April 2016[/editline] But then again, the FO4 world itself isn't designed expecting the player to come marching with +2 followers with him, let alone like 5 followers, I wouldn't go higher.
Okay so I restarted my computer and the game is working fine now :why:
Wait, for real?
Yes, apparently. What happened was I found a dead raider lying inside my Red Rocket holding one of my precious named legendary weapons. Apparently he was able to make it to my workshop and pull out a gun before Piper or Cait mowed him down. So I checked online and yes, raiders can steal your stuff. The only way to be safe is to hide all your shit behind a powered door, because NPCs can't use switches. Yet. Also lots and lots of advanced laser turrets, and at least one killbot guarding the perimeter. [editline]22nd April 2016[/editline]
Decided to get back into Fallout 4 and continue building my settlement Well I would if Wasteland Workshop didn't remove 90% of the objects in the building menu What the fuck
Do you have settlement keywords installed, or something like that?
So anyone know when Bethesda will at the very least enable the Data folder on startup? I know it'd be enabled alongside the release of the GECK/Creation kit, so another week probably wouldn't kill me. Just seems weird they didn't do it when automatron and wasteland workshop came out. Like for anyone that had to take them out of the load order for whatever reason.
I noticed that while it was raining, the cubemaps (or their gamebryo equivalent) on the assault rifle really don't change all that much. Anyone with a Geck know if they use one or two only?

Wasteland Workshop doesn't work with most settlement mods last I checked. You will have to see if they've been updated to support it. If their last version was out before Wasteland Workshop, then don't use the mod (or don't use the DLC)
Homemaker does have a patch but even then stuff tends to go missing like the new neon signs.

If so, then you should still be able to have Danse.

Know what would be kinda neat? If you left the radio on in a power armor and get out, if you heard the radio still on from in the suit. [editline]22nd April 2016[/editline] http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12243/? I also wish this person could make a separate "brick" build set from the concrete pieces with this texture, it's pretty slick looking.
Can't you play the BOS quests out of order if you activate that quest by turning on the Institute when they ask you to go to Mass Fusion? I did the railroad path for a big chunk but then decided they all sucked after getting ballistic wieve. Then when i got the Mass Fusion quest danse was still around and not hated.
I just realize those perks are just spells lifted from Skyrim :v:
The game is loaded to the brim with MGEF or "Magic Effect" records for everything, I'm pretty sure even stuff like zooming in with a scope is literally done by magic. You're casting a spell that zooms in your vision and plays the ironsight animation.
I can't get over the vault-tec salesman equipping his clipboard with the skyrim shield equip animation.
I love the perk that lets you pacify enemies. I always try to pacify the last raider in the group after I've killed everyone else, then I remove their clothes and armour, take them to an empty area, and put a bullet in the back of their head.
Usually, if I have someone still pacified at the end of a battle I'l just let them go. Or shut them down if they are robotic. "don't do it again." Unless there's a landmine I can tell them to stand on or a furnace to walk into, but that's too funny to miss.
Crafting is referred to as Alchemy IIRC I think it was the same in FO3 and NV.
All food and aid items are listed as ALCH. They are all basically re-skinned magic potions. It's always been this way, in fallout 3 and new vegas all firearms were essentially staff weapons from oblivion that shot bullets instead of magic.
