Yeah. IMO The railroad is literally the most useless faction in the entire game. Everything about them just screams "Shit the game releases in 4 months and we need another faction".
To me, it seems like Bethesda went "Our game needs a stealth-oriented faction, let's shove one in." Their base even looks a little similar to the Dark Brotherhood sanctuary. Disappointed that there isn't a joinable noir-themed faction that fills the same role.
Disappointed that there isn't a joinable noir-themed faction that fills the same role.
That actually sounds pretty badass, I really liked Nick and his various cases and it definitely would have been more stylish than 'some guys in a basement'. It would have been cool for you to get various missions through drop offs and shady meetings in back alleys, never sure of how many others there were or who ran the entire outfit. And when you think you do meet the leader, the lights go on and it's just a mannequin with a radio in it's hand. Of course the twist at the end would have been that the entire outfit was an Institute operation designed to draw out potential enemies who could potentially do some damage to them.
The railroad is in because they figured it'd be really weird if you couldn't join the railroad in a story that's heavily focused on synths and the institute. They're pretty weak as a faction but that doesn't make them an afterthought.
Well apart from the fact that it's basically just a glorified .bat file can anybody tell me what the fuck is going on with this mods text formatting http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10798/? It's like the Nexus has been possessed by the ghost of Geocities
That batch file is also crap. "tmta", "tmtr" and "tmtrdfl" are toggle commands. They will ALWAYS set their relevant setting to the opposite of what it is currently. I have no fucking idea where the hell people got those "on" arguments from, and I especially have no idea where anyone got "tmtr ppld" from (what the fuck is "ppld" supposed to mean), since no Bethesda game in the history of ever has had toggle commands that accepted "on/off" arguments, or even "ppld". "tfc" is notable in that "tfc 1" actually does something, but that doesn't mean "turn flycam on", the 1 refers to whether or not the game should "stop time" while in flycam mode. Also, I think Bethesda is forcing those functions to be turned off now. At one point, after de-stupidizing the commands (so just "tmta", "tmtr" and "tmtrdfl"), I had them in a batch file and ran them on game start. But that was two or three patches ago. Now, "tmta" for instance always reports to me that its relevant setting is now turned off, even if I run it twice in a row. It never turns on. Ever. I don't have any external DLLs playing around with those settings either, I actually threw out ENB because I thought it was causing crashes. At this point, I'm convinced that batch file works entirely on the placebo effect. Of course, at this point, that batch file isn't likely to hurt anyone any more than a batch file containing "fixmyfps", "fixitnao" and "wtfbadgame" would. But it also doesn't do anything useful like people seem to think it does, so there's no point in having it.

All of this while the scientists are oblivious and wondering why their SRB is a piece of shit.
I don't like how one-sided it is with the Railroad. Nothing they do or say would make any sane person want to support them. They believe synths should be free but also believe they're limited machines like what kind of logic is this? Only reason I helped them previously is for ballistic weave but now that mods are out they're dead the minute I have enough grenades.

so a major plot point of this futuristic fallout 4 game is a lab in boston creating synthetic humans meanwhile in the actual real world boston this is what's happening RIGHT NOW

Yet another question about New Vegas As of now I'm roleplaying as a forced hitman with a heart and standards who's ready to do work for everyone while remaining neutral regarding the three main factions (for instance, I recovered the chip for Mr. Hand but refused to infiltrate Caesar's camp on his orders) I can't however shrug off the feeling that the game WILL require me to pick a side at some point in order to wrap-up the plot and I'll be forced to choose. Is that the case or can I keep going around offering my professional help to the highest bidder? In the former case, I'm going with the NCR

They have different points where they activate, but once you get the two quests "Beware the wrath of Ceasar" and "Don't tread on the bear", you'll know you're getting close. I'm not sure the exact points you can go until they hate you though.

take a wild guess, how many deathclaws are there [t]http://i.imgur.com/3pQ3rkR.jpg[/t] answer: eight of them [t]http://i.imgur.com/oL3CCzO.jpg[/t] good thing i only brought a fucking knife, then [t]http://i.imgur.com/jdOtL5R.jpg[/t]

Have fun fighting the hordes of legion assassins
we can totally have an FP FOnline server... just would we have enough people to play?
Probably just us two, from the looks of it. Not sure if anyone else here would be interested.

Well the real question for you fallout onliners is normal fallout2 map or australia?
Well the real question for you fallout onliners is normal fallout2 map or australia?
Couldn't we just use Fonline: 2238? I think I have the server/client files lying around somewhere, if someone wants it. I also have Desert Europe as well, even though that server went kaput a while back.
Well the real question for you fallout onliners is normal fallout2 map or australia?
.. Australia?
We can do any of those, i was just giving some options. It'll be up by the end of the day i think..
