Well the Creation Kit Wiki is back up for those who need it (The Fallout section is just 2 links to how to download the kit and what's changed, nice to see they took it down for just that)
Ay, I'm going to call this done soon and start working on mods. If anyone has any final critiques, requests, or anything please tell me now!

Where's the charging handle?
Where's the charging handle?
No clue what that is, like I said I know nothing about guns, I'm just going off views of the Service Rifle from NV

Hey guys, I'm having a problem with my stun knife mod. I think it might be a problem with the model file itself. Basically, the blade model of the vanilla combat knife is inside the model of the stun knife, and I can't figure out how to remove it. Also, no world object drops when I drop it, so it disappears entirely. Does anyone know what could be causing these errors, and how to fix them?

That model is missing it too! :v:
FYI, it's this.

Well that would explain it then
I'm going to go ahead and leave it out then on the basis that the original doesn't have it but more importantly there's not an elegant way to include that in my model without reworking the back of the receiver(also I don't know what that thing even does)

Basically, when you empty your mag and insert a new one, you pull this back to make the gun take a new round from the mag. Pretty much serves the same purpose as pulling back the sliding upper part on handguns (English gun terminology goes past me, please don't stone me.

You need to give a bit more information to make it easier to help. Is it a standalone weapon, or is it a replacement for the existing combat knife?

Sorry. It's a standalone weapon without weapon mods. I also forgot to mention that I can modify it with the vanilla combat knife's blades.

Yeah, you've got the bug I thought you had. You need to remove the ma_Knife keyword, and give your weapon a new one. A keyword called ma_StunKnife should work fine. Assuming that you're using the Creation Kit, you'll also need to click on the Object Template button and delete everything in the top left box. As for the world object issue, it sounds like your model doesn't have a collision model, but I'm not entirely sure on that one. It'd probably be best to speak to people with more experience in putting custom weapons ingame for that.
Apparently it is dropping a model, just without physics or collision. Going off what my friend is saying here since I asked her to help.

Yeah, definitely a collision issue then. Short of saying to copy the collision from another model in Nifskope, I can't really help you there, sorry. Though, if the 64-bit 3ds Max 2013 is being used, you could use the NIF exporter that comes with the Creation Kit.

The sling swivels look a little too big and rectangular

Alright, I'll see what I can do. thanks.

It's the charging handle. The older AR-10s had a different kind that you could try implementing:

The charging handle on this gun is in the carrying handle.

Huh, the one on the bottom looks nearly identical to the service rifle.

The service rifle is really basically an M16A1 with wood furniture.

Well, yeah, but the one modeled in-game doesn't have the charging handle of the M16A1.

That's just a model thing. Most guns/machines depicted in Fallout are utterly useless from a mechanical standpoint and only work because magic. The gun's obviously based on the A1. I don't think it has a charging handle at all. It also lacks a selector switch, takedown pins, bolt release, mag release, etc., all of which are important to gun-ing. :v:
The bottom AR-10 is less similar to the service rifle than the M16A1 is. Notice it doesn't have a forward assist. The stock set up is different - it's bakelite with cooling holes on the side instead of top/bottom - and the AR-10 is chambered in .308 instead of 5.56.

The combat shotgun in Fallout 3 has little gnomes throwing the pellets out of the front of the gun. They live the "magazine."

I saw a picture once where the drum connected to a port that fed into a magazine tube, something like this:

The Service Rifle charges with that little nub on the bolt carrier itself, which you never actually even see in game really
Just watch the reload animation (7 seconds or so in)

That's the worst way to charge an AR15 I've ever heard of
Eh... good enough.

Download links are in the video description. For now the effect applies to your character's voice in general, and doesn't take into account whether or not you're wearing a helmet yet. Hope you all enjoy anyway.

"I've used an AK, I got this." :v:
Edit:
Damn, now I want someone to model the AK-112 from the past fallout games for Fallout 4.

Finally going to have a use for all that 5mm ammunition. New Vegas really did fix that with the Assault Carbine.

If you don't plug your charging handle in at night or fill the gas tube with gasoline the gun won't fire
That guy who did those CROSS Cosmetics or whatever got an animated power armor-less jetpack working (he's also working on that fireworks launcher you see there).

I would assume it works like a Tommy Gun's 50 Mag.
