Fallout Thread V26: At least it's not a Nuclear Winter

Seems to be based on the NPC animations.
Oh boy, I'm really getting into the whole magnificent bastard territory along with Yes Man, reinforcing the NCR position as I see fit, playing the Legion like a fiddle and doublecrossing Mr. House for all he's worth
I'm torn between waiting for fallout 4 dlc this month and reinstalling new vegas also to get invested in some previous mods that got updated/added.
(Examples; Project Brazil, Optics of New Vegas, Super Hot(Redone), Blood Money)
These are ones that come to mind but I wanna replay them in and not sure if I should or not.
After playing Fallout 4 the combat in 3 and NV was so fucking horrible that the only way I could bring myself to replay them was to max perception and agility and basically do nothing but blast faces with VATS.
DLC Non-Story
[sp]You can mod Currie if you have not made her a synth[/sp]
[sp]Also make sure you loot all the new robot enemies, even if it looks like it is a part you already have[/sp]
i thought this looks quite interesting
add that to the list of "things that should've been in the default game but aren't for some reason"

I know this is super optimistic thinking and won't happen, but I wish the introduction of the robo-brain meant we could [sp]just give Curie a brain instead of making her a synth.[/sp]

[sp]Robobrain head is a head part you can put on any robot. Doesn't so anything except give them a psionic attacl[/sp]

[sp]That's not what I mean. I mean in terms of her quest. As in you could give her a brain and keep her as a robot or make her a synth.[/sp]

[sp]That would be kind of useless the whole point of giving her a body is that she can blend into the world in a more human way.[/sp]
Wish this AK could come out before millennia's. Has that scavenger look to it.

I wonder if anyone plans on making a mod to [sp]make it so Emergent Behavior's questline doesn't pop up, and you're able to keep Curie a robot.[/sp]
basement mod is pretty cool

I don't think that would work, lorewise. [sp]Other than Skynet whose an exception based on alien technology, Robobrains aren't anymore human-like thinkers than other smart robots like Mr. Handies; in theory the brain just means they've got a hell of a lot more computing power.[/sp]
Doesn't stop anyone from modding it in though.

[sp]Agree times 10, that's how you gain new parts to build your own robots with. You can't build a robobrain head until you actually kill a robobrain and swipe it, always loot the corpses. This only goes for the new robots as far as I can tell, so killing a regular Gunner assaultron won't net you parts.[/sp]
I wanted to end Cass' personal quest in New Vegas with the pacefull option, but I couldn't get past Gloria and her flunkies to open the door, lockpick the safe and gather the final piece of evidence, so I hired four bodyguards, went downtorn and killed them all. This caused the quest to go on the "violent" route (while if you go with the paceful option, you can later kill the two leaders to gain both the perks for Cass). Truth be told, however, the evil perk Cass gets for it (more gun damage) is totally worth it
Meanwhile, my master plan for New Vegas starts taking up shape
I helped out the Omertas with the preparations for their attack on the Strip, only to reap the rewards, ratting them out to Mr. Hand and having them killed
The only two downsides with this are:
- I can't tell Yes Man I want to ignore them, nor I can tell him I approve of their plan (I don't), so the Side Bets quest will remain unfinished, I think
- Now both the NCR and the Legion are weary of me and I must play my cards more carefully from now on
I'm enjoying this far more than I should

I want somebody to do something like this but for melee and unarmed attacks.
Right now, you can only perform shoves, and counters in third person. It'd be nice if somebody allowed players to perform them in first person too. Rarely, I've been been able to do the counter where you throw somebody on the ground, but attempts to recreate it other times have been unsuccessful.
I think I was only able to do it because I had been quickly switching the camera between first and third to attack faster with unarmed, so it probably wasn't an intended thing to be seen in first person, but there were still animations I saw in first person for it.
I want a first person mod similar to Enhanced Camera from skyrim and new vegas if possible.

It'll be the same as locking kill moves to first person like in Skyrim.
dlc, semi-story? you should know the villain, shown in the trailer, is [sp]one of the silver shrouds enemies.[/sp] well, apparently, as long as you [sp]have the costume on, you can talk like the silver shroud[/sp]
With it work with the Grognak costume?
With it work with the Grognak costume?
Was there ever a point where you could talk like Grognak? I never took on that quest.
Was there ever a point where you could talk like Grognak? I never took on that quest.
No but "Unstoppables" comics has Grognak and Silver Shroud along with some other heroes together.
Yeah there was a whole set of comics called "The unstoppables!" that appears to be the fallout universes answer to the avengers, both grognak and the silver shroud are members, so im fairly sure they exist in the same hubris comics cannon.

There's a mod which restores a few cut endings, it lets you convince her to give you her hat which you use to prove you killed her, she will still be your companion too
It's well worth it because it also lets you convince house to not destroy the brotherhood, it's well worth checking it out
thats where (mod/set)(pos/angle)(x/y/z) comes in
i always start building at a new settlement by using getangle z on existing structures. that way if it's aligned by a multiple of 90 degrees i know i can cleanly modpos any new pieces by Y or X if they refuse to snap in.
pretty much everywhere in the world is built from a 256x256 square. if your structures are at 90 you can easily modpos new pieces by 256, Y or X, to neatly move them by one whole piece. horizontally things are spaced by 256, vertically things are spaced by 220.
