That's the first thing that got my attention too. If you look closely it has some tiny rotors on top, but it still doesn't make sense.
there is also a space shuttle haha
I don't understand how those other balloons are supposed to move the Zeppelin, they are barely attached with cables.
Why am I overthinking this there are space ships in the fucking picture
It is from Fallout Tactics, def over thinking.
Pretty sure Tactics isn't counted as canonical right? Definitely not in the Bethesda universe.
General events are canon unless contradicted (also the multiple endings are in a state of limbo where we're not really sure if any of them happened I think?), specific details are not.
What kind of dog were the Dogmeats from Fallout 1 & 2 (since to my understanding they're the same dog) and 3? I tried looking it up but to no avail.
It's like a weird janked up Zero, also what the fuck is with the rocket helicopter
There's a rocket chinook, but the other two are pretty realistic depictions of an A6M2N and a beech V-35 Bonanza

It's an Australian cattle dog in Fallout 3, in reference to Max's own dog in Road Warrior.

Since it was a subject some pages ago, allow me to join the crowd that claims that the assassins squads are the only major bullshit from the whole reputation system in New Vegas
They are rather challenging (althought I think they scale with your level and I'm level 24), they home onto you automatically as you enter their range (stealth boys are useless) and new squads are issued against you every few days

Don't give me that face.

I never really had an issue with them personally, although i did start collecting their helmets and placing them on shelves in the lucky 38 cocktail lounge, and considering i managed to totally fill a shelf (all the way around) with just hit-squad helmets, i guess maybe they might have attacked too frequently? Idk im always happy to have more of the legion to fight.

I don't think even the biggest New Vegas fan can defend Legion assassins. At least the NCR equivalent will give you a couple days to clean up your act before they officially start gunning for you.
Worse than that is that a number of their spawns are actually quite close to other NPCs. I've enjoyed Legionary assassins killing quest-relevant NPCs on at least two occasions.
And even worse than that--there's an unmarked quest to turn in the cut off ears of any Legionary you kill for caps, and Legionary Assassins don't drop any ears.
I give them points for at least making more sense than Talon Company in FO3.

Echo's are nice.

Oh shit i totally forgot about them wiping out quest relevant NPCs. Yeah fuck those guys.

I'm guessing you're using this mod right?

It's pretty nice, but I don't like how grenades can sometimes sound like mininukes, and sometimes sounds are way too high, but it improves inmersion quite a lot.
So what's everyone's favorite settlement location?
Thinking of which place I want to make for my main base this time around.
I've been experimenting with Outpost Zimonja. It's also my only settlement at the moment, so that's probably my favorite.
hangman's alley is pretty neat, and it's like 3 steps away from diamond city so that's a bonus
i've also repurposed the castle into a trading hub and starlight drive-in into a massive arena, but those two are kind of the basic of settlements, alongside sanctuary
I really like both the castle and the sunshine co-op.
So bit of a random question, do mods still work with the dlc beta for those that got early access to it?
I'd like a scale of how badly my game will break if i don't uninstall my mods before the dlc releases.

yeah, mods work fine alongside the DLC
i've seen absolutely no compatibility issues alongside the 70 bloody mods i have on constantly
So for those of you who have played the dlc beta, would you recommend a clean, fresh new save?

are any of them large mods, like the settlement keyword mods or anything?
So for those of you who have played the dlc beta, would you recommend a clean, fresh new save?
It doesn't matter, new or old. It level scales.
are any of them large mods, like the settlement keyword mods or anything?
yeah, i've got some stuff like that installed, but it mostly is just armors and weapons
the only noticeable issue i've seen is that NewDialog straight up doesn't work
otherwise, automatron kind of adds it's own things in it's own corner so it's compatible with almost anything you throw at it
It doesn't matter, new or old. It level scales.
I started at level 15 (the bare minimum) and the level scaling for robots was brutal as fuck. I got attacked by sentry bots armed with railway rifles (I think) while I was roaming around the low level areas around Concord
The thing about Dead Money is that people either love it or hate it, so yeah make a save before you start, you find you don't like it, skip to HH (Which is probably the most boring, but still good)
My problem with Dead Money is that it's so fucking good but it's also so fucking long. The first time I played it, I had 0 quarrels with it. It was (and honesty still to this day) is my favorite DLC in any game ever. I love the story, I love the atmosphere, I love everything.
But one night I was dicking around at my cousin's house, we went to his tiny small-town mall that had a Gamestop, I found a Fallout Anthology and had the money for it, so I bought it. Of course, I already owned all of the games and all the DLC I actually wanted (I honestly can't be assed to play back through FO3 and finish any of the DLCs. New Vegas has spoiled me and soured my thoughts on 3, even though it was the first FO game I played and I loved it when I was but a 10-year-old coming off of Oblivion) so I gave him all of the games so he could play through them.
He ended up getting pretty fucking far that night, and ended up starting Dead Money and damn near finishing it. But that thing lasts hours. If your character isn't built for it or you don't like the atmosphere or you just want to get it done for loot or something, it's going to be a ruined experience because of how long it lasts.
The first time I finished it, I quit playing New Vegas for a week because going back to the wasteland was such a strange experience from being in Dead Money's world for so long, and I missed it a little bit.
