They should also allow every single piece of clothing to be armored instead of a few arbitrarily selected pieces.
Fences always look terrible, I just build some towers around the perimeter and arm them with laser turrets
Rocket launcher turrets aren't too expensive (apart from the perk cost) to make and absolutely destroy every hostile thing that comes near.
uhh why is the download speed so low on nexus
They should also allow every single piece of clothing to be armored instead of a few arbitrarily selected pieces.
They probably wanted to keep some form of balance in check considering removing these limitations and armoring up every piece of gear you wear can get pretty retarded and end up netting you so much damage, energy and rad resist that you can just ignore everything. Then again, that's because all the bonuses are equal regardless of the piece so you can wear a baseball cap that gives you as much rad and energy resist as a fully upgraded vault suit, on top of a vault suit with the same bonuses.

Damn, I think I've found the most devestating legendary weapon in fallout 4. For most of the time, I've been running around with a 308 overseers guardian with full rifleman perk, having it at 188 damage. Now I got a two-shot .44, with full gunslinger, and it has a damage of 277. As far as I know, that's even better than a two shot 50cal sniper rifle. Holy shit. Of course, there are more powerful weapons, like guass rifles, or two shot railway rifle, if that even is a thing, but it's the most powerful I've seen that uses standard ammunition.

You can get your ranged sneak attacks to do up to 3x damage, i think, and Instigating straight doubles damage on full-health targets, times the double damage from Rifleman 5, on top of the extra five cranks of the Musket. a regular Gauss Rifle will do more raw damage than a regular Laser Musket but the six-crank helps multiply the output past that of the Gauss Rifle.
Can i get Ballistic weave without doing any railroad main quests as i'm planning on joining the institute.
And in case you don't want to cheat or are on the console, you have to do like 1 real rail road quest (Tradecraft, which gets you in the door), and 2 side quests (which are both for PAM. Setting up safehouse Mercer, and then Jackpot. Jackpot is what actually gets you the Ballistic Weave. Doing Tradecraft automatically cuts out one of the Institute's quests, I think (I don't know, as I've never done it!), but otherwise they won't hold any RR quests against you. Ever, I think. Well, until the endgame, of course. They don't really approve of that business.
meh I'm only doing Railroad stuff till I get the Ballistics weave then I'm "mysteriously" vanishing :U
You can do all of the faction quests that can be accessed before Institutionalized and not suffer any consequences with other factions for sure.
They probably wanted to keep some form of balance in check considering removing these limitations and armoring up every piece of gear you wear can get pretty retarded and end up netting you so much damage, energy and rad resist that you can just ignore everything.
But the thing is you already can armor up everything. Military fatigues can be bw'd then have armor pieces strewn all about it, then there's one dumb fucking stupid looking hat that you can bw. The only clothing you can't bw are bandanas and glasses, one of which makes sense materially-speaking and the other would be pointless to change because I'm pretty sure a loose-swinging cloth tied to your face wouldn't be very useful regardless of how strong that cloth may be. The problem here is that not everyone is happy with military fatigues and a shitty hat.
You can do all of the faction quests that can be accessed before Institutionalized and not suffer any consequences with other factions for sure.
Try not to finish blind betrayal (BOS quest) before getting ballistic weave though, because the following quest (tactical Thinking) will make P.A.M tell you to fuck off when trying to speak with it (locking it's quests which give you the acess to BW).If you screw it up, you can fail tactical thinking (which unlocks P.A.M again I think) by making the institute hostile and then [sp]defending the castle[/sp], but this will lock you from getting the BOS ending. And if everything else fails, you can always use the console command.

Defending the Castle is also only available after you get to the institute at least once. As long as you've taken care of Kellogg but haven't built the teleporter, you can fuck around with all the factions except the institute and unless you start killing people of these factions you'll be totally fine.
The break-off points for the faction quests are as such: You can do Railroad quests up to the part where you continue working with Father in Underground Undercover. You can work with the Brotherhood until you'd have to finish Blind Betrayal by talking to Maxson. The Institute can be worked with up until you'd have to take the teleporter or inform the Brotherhood in Mass Fusion. As long as you don't got past those points you can pretty much pick-and-choose your ending.
Alright seriously fuck rng and Power Armour, everytime I run across a suit of Power Armour it's fucking T-51, I swear this shit is bugged.
Alright seriously fuck rng and Power Armour, everytime I run across a suit of Power Armour it's fucking T-51, I swear this shit is bugged.
There is a location that will always spawn a full suit of x01 power armor past level 30 (some say 26 or 28, but 30 is the safest bet). I stole the power cell from a raider's armor, forcing them to exit and allowing me to take it. But it counts as me stealing it every time I enter, which if I have a companion makes them hate me.

I accumulated maybe 15 different frames and countless armor pieces. It's like a bunch of statues around my base.
Hopefully someone makes a mod that gives you your armor bonuses when inside power armor. It's dumb that I can carry more stuff and deal more melee damage when I'm outside PA.
I stole the power cell from a raider's armor, forcing them to exit and allowing me to take it. But it counts as me stealing it every time I enter, which if I have a companion makes them hate me.
I seriously think there needs to be a separate "acceptable" stealing category that applies to items belonging to "evil" characters. stealing them will still make the people you are stealing from mad but wont incur any morality point loss, be it karma or approval. I did the exact same thing you described and out of the blue I lost a chunk of approval with Danse who turned around and said "THIS ISN'T PART OF OUR MISSION! >:(". Oh no ofc not mate, the brotherhood of steel would never confiscate a suit of power armor from a surrendering raider boss! what was I thinking!.
I just wish there was something to do with all those excess power armor frames, like selling them or scrapping them. I thought it was cool you could force enemies out of their power armor by stealing the fusion core or shooting it, but as soon as I found out the resulting power armor frame is a fairly permanent fixture unless you coax an enemy into getting back inside it, and killing them in it, I stopped using any tactics that force enemies to abandon theirs. It's bad enough their weapons, and ash/goo piles don't despawn after a certain amount of time.
At first I just hoarded them all in my main settlement, but what I've started to do instead is try to get enough to have a frame for each settlement that way there's always a suit close by if I need it.
I want a mod that reduces the amount of guns in this game about 90%, makes them incredibly powerful, and makes ammo really fucking rare. That shit would be great. [editline]a[/editline] Though turrets would be really fucking annoying

When will there be an actual ballistic weave mod. Like a hair weave that has armor.
Yeah that would make melee actually usefull
You don't use melee because it's useful, you use it because it's fun as shit to explode heads using a sledgehammer with a rocket strapped to it.
Did anyone ever accidentally set Harold on fire the first time you visited him in Oasis? I remember shooting a nuke into the grove, and damn near fell off the couch after I heard Harold screaming in horrifying pain. It doesn't help he looks like this when you return a while later. So I must have fucked up when managing my mods or something because now my main menu is just a black screen with the menu itself over it. No power armor garage or something, only music. Anyone know a fix? I'ts not that much of a deal but I liked it.
