Yeah I think the update messed up texture and map loading just a bit, I had missing parts of the map in the rust devil hideout, and when I went to thicket excavations all the terrain was really low LOD and I had to restart the game to fix it
Thicket excavations has had that bug since the game release though.

Reinstalling Fallout 4 for the second time today, because apparently one of my two mods (True Storms and Photorealistic Commonwealth 0.4D) make Fallout shit itself in the Boston Region (I'll spawn in, walk 5 meters, and then the game will crash with no message).
I just want to play Automatron man.

Not really, he's just gonna act as if he was the actual mechanist and the dlc guy was an impostor.
We already know the Mechanist is the bad guy. It was announced in the blog post and appears in the trailer. I was just making a roleplay up where I am the "true" Mechanist.

Ok, try deleting "Fallout4 - Textures7.ba2" in the Fallout 4\Data folder and verifying the game's files. From what I can tell, that file houses the LOD textures for the world based off the cells.
It's only a 500MB file, so redownload shouldn't be so bad.

I should try making a robot based around combat potential, but most of the time I use really basic weapons and armor because it looks nice

[sp]Deathclaws were genetically engineered pre-war, from the logs it seems like they wanted brains that wanted to do nothing but kill, so it's not unreasonable they considered deathclaws[/sp]
Deathclaw had me in a death grip and Cait shot it and I fell, but there was an animation, I actually fell down to the ground instead of just landing.
The first conversation with Mayor McDonut is a lot more fun when you're in power armor.
Even more so when he looks at you and gunfire and explosions begins going off in the distance.
I started a new game. When does the DLC first trigger?
