How exactly do they break? I've been trying to actively break mine but the parts seem to be quite durable.
i tried changing my char to a guy and now the camera is bugged and when i unholster my weapon the camera goes insane
does anyone know how to fix this? saving and loading doesnt work, nor does teleporting or using the body camera thing in the showlooksmenu uhh menu

nah, that isn't it.
When you hit 'New Automatron', and the window shows up showing what materials you need, you can cancel out of that screen and just browse the parts.
Hitting R brings it back up.

Although on that note I absolutely love the hydraulic armor on pretty much all the parts.

Been giving just about all my robots this set up since It reminds me of the Elysium / Chappie bots.

Enough damage usually does it, that's all that happens. Like when you shoot parts off of enemy robots, it's exactly the same, but they "regen" after a minute of not being in combat.
I made a list of what's missing in the DLC that would make it fantastic, but can be fixed with mods i guess :
-Synth body parts. Bonus points if synth hand allows them to equip weapons, even if it is one handed stuff. Make the armor options gen1/gen2/gen2 synth armor/gen 3. That way we can make creepy robot with human head.
-Eyebot tweaking. The search for ressources doesn't seem really interesting if you have to go collect it. Maybe load them with holotapes and make them wander the commonwealth with prerecorded messages ? Make them attract more settlers/caravan to your settlements?
Also, add the possibility to make them follow you, and modify them, of course.
-Hats. Why would i use a hook on a robot if i can't equip it with a pirate's hat?
-Make the rogue robot radiant quests more interesting, like fighting a band of 10+ robots or the ability to make them stop without fighting.
-Ability to use Mr.Handy, Mr.Gutsy, Ms. Nanny, takahashi, KLEO, Liberty Prime,etc voices. Maybe with a special hacking mechanic allowing you to copy a personality, so you have to hunt them?
-Ability to modify Buddy. His torso would be a non removable part.
-Mr. Gutsy weapons on the thruster arms. I don't think i saw them.
-Mini Liberty Prime parts.
-No torso option. I want a brain on feet.

Nvm, I was under the impression that the "Unstable" mod meant the parts would randomly break permanently. I did a little testing and it turns out it just means they have a 2% chance to explode per animation event, and can be repaired either with a RRK or through the auto-healing process.

Just rush the questline [sp]one of the rewards for defeating the Mechanist is unlocking all the parts/schematics[/sp]

Try moving the [camera] lines from Fallout4.ini to Fallout4Custom.ini

I've had moments with raiders be more of a chore than finishing that questline.
I hope someone makes a mod that lets us use power armor parts for robots.

I can't get this dlc for another month or so as I left my PS4 at uni ffs.

I think you're forgetting a robot type that someone needs to figure out, one that isn't a humanoid.

I think this'd be a really neat idea. It'd add a little collect-a-thon element to it. Whenever you encounter a unique robot, you can hack it to copy its personality/gain a unique part.

There's a mod that adds different stores, one of the options is a mat for the merchants to stand on. The mod also adds mats for guard posts. [url=http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9758/?]Better Vendor Stalls[/url] I think.

I actually really enjoyed this new DLC, I didn't think I would initially. Dual gatling lasers are OP as fuck and I love them.
i honestly feel like they should make the constructable sentry-bots a little bit smaller, about they size they become when they sit at guard stations, its been my personal experience so far that most of the inside dungeons are too small for full sized sentry bots, and they get stuck on stair wells and in small corridors.
or at least include a "small" variant of each type of robot frame, because a child-sized sentry bot or assaultron would be shenanigans.
I was disappointed to find out the Mechanist has no bonus dialogue if you're wearing the Silver Shroud outfit. :frown:

I don't mind that robots are pretty much settlers right down to needing a bed, but I wish they included some sort of robopod or bay that acts as a bed for robots. I don't wanna have to spam beds for every robot I create.
