The names are just "bugged" because legendary quality, the name doesn't change automatically.
Not in the case of the Tesla T-60 and the Tesla Rifle. They both have the legendary star and descriptions, but they don't function like normal legendaries or uniques. They're pretty much set up like any other item, so their names will properly change dynamically, such as when you modify them. Hard to say what's causing the actual bug with that screenshot, though. My first guess would be that it's due to the new Tesla records, but it looks like they're set up the same as the regular ones. It might just be a weird visual bug, like when you have a power armour frame that looks like it has armour attached, but when you go into it the armour disappears.
They could expand upon Pittsburgh a bit more, but I suppose they'll do NYC even though that's overplayed in every entertainment media ever.
Bethesda seems to like their large, dense cities so I could easily see NYC happening. I'm just hoping they give Obsidian another shot and they keep to their vast open landscape scattered with shit of interest method that worked well for NV (in my opinion, I know plenty of people got bored of walking across a desert but a quarter of the fun of the game was walking through that desert and going "oh shit what's that" and investigating).
If Obsidian makes another Fallout, I really want it to be set in Texas.
Help Greston Parvey defend The Alamo and rebuild the Militiamen.
also hopefully they don't even bother with player character protagonist voice acting, unless bethesda forces that too ofcourse.
They very likely won't have the budget for that whatsoever. They probably will have a gimped budget to begin with.
Alright who's dick do I gotta suck to get back mounted grenade launcher/tear gas/mini nuke launchers on PA? It's insane how much damage these custom bots do, double nuke launchers and double explosive miniguns = instarekt
Some BGS people played Automatron on stream. The audio is... something.
Why would BGS "force" Obsidian to do anything in particular when they clearly had zero control over New Vegas and took many liberties with modifying the game's mechanics ? The only thing that Bethesda as publishers had control over was the deadline and the budget.
Also, ffs give them more than 18 months of development, bethesda gave them too little time, specially for such a big project
So I got an issue mentioned earlier in this thread, where all of my robots are named "Automatron" even when you rename it, has anyone found a fix to this or am I screwed?
So I got an issue mentioned earlier in this thread, where all of my robots are named "Automatron" even when you rename it, has anyone found a fix to this or am I screwed?
Wait, is there a glitch with their names? i thought i killed my FISTO 2.0, but it was renamed with the default automatron name. So im not going insane afterall, thank god
Is there a mod that can track content I have not done? Such as quests to find.
But Bethesda as a publisher doesn't force any creative constraints on any of their devs, that's practically their selling point now. Look at wolfenstein and the evil within for instance.
For some reason if I press E to command my robot his unstable gatling guns just pop back on and he's ready to go again.
I just realized I can make robots and assign them to be supply line workers, this is great. I'm making a fleet of robots with lots of carry capacity to connect my settlements together. Allows me to go crazy on all kinds of designs too when I experiment, but I'm making them all red.
it actually just makes the first-person cover doable in third person.
No? The first person cover doesn't have animations. [editline]23rd March 2016[/editline]
Was going through Robobrain R&D and saw this big thing with two shriveled up corpses in it. Thought, "It's Bethesda, it's probably some Feral corpses" TCL in, and they have loot.
If you shoot the tank they fall to the bottom of it.
Is there anywhere to buy shipments of rubber, other than the doctor in Diamond City? I realized that was my new bottleneck resource a while ago and I've been buying the single 25-unit shipment he has as often as I can, but I've ran through more than half of my supply thanks to Automatron. I suppose an area just filled with rubber junk, like that one area with dozens of aluminum trays on a conveyor belt, would also be helpful, but I doubt it exists. Also, I can't even search for it with the eyebot station thing; I assume this is intended, but is there a way to add rubber to the list?
you're not getting my point though. if a new fallout game on fo4's engine would be made, the main reason for that would be to please that large audience some more by offering more content and make extra money off that, just like new vegas main purpose was being a "spinoff" of fo3. from a marketing perspective, it would be with such "spinoffs" wierd to make it suddenly a complete different experience compared to the game it "spins off" from. nv was still similar to fo3, and that was its success saleswise. same for wolf tob compared to tno. that's why i think it's not unlikely for bethesda to say, again if obsidian has different plans, to keep those fo4 features in and keep it similair. because if they have different plans, it would probably be something like nv, and nv is very different to fo4 (compared to nv to fo3) and fo4 is basically the glorified combat exploration focused version of fo3 with these modern touches on mechanics. ofcourse i'd like it too if i'm wrong about this, as i really want a proper fallout game again, but just my two cents on the whole situation.
I still don't understand where you got that "fallout 4 is deliberately designed for a large/casual audience" thing from. Bethesda doesn't make games to cater to the most valuable audience, they make whatever the fuck they want at any given time and that's been their usual design philosophy since Arena. Stop being paranoid about Bethesda turning evil and corporate or whatever. They're not Ubisoft. [editline]24th March 2016[/editline] Fallout 4 didn't need to have a perk chart to be a financial and critical success.
I wish the male/female voices would allow me to change their personality. It's a bit silly to see a hulking skull-headed deathbot talk about his mercy algorithm.

So I'm doing the [sp]headhunting[/sp] quest right now, and my only problem is I cannot figure out for the life of me [sp] how to put jezebels head on a body, her head [/sp] isn't listed anywhere in the Automatron creator thing, and I can't equip it on a robot. How do I do this?

RPG shit aside, nobody's like "oh man I fucking LOVE this voice protag" or "my god I feel such a strong emotional attachment to shaun I'm so glad he's forced so heavily into the game" or "I'm glad the only check in this game is Charisma, it makes it so much easier since I can just dump points into it" I can accept the new RPG system because it was a decent attempt at reworking skills so you never had those shitty 19/20 moments and they retained most of the perks I actually cared about, and I honestly think it was worth a shot, though personally I'm not a huge fan of it.
The system as it was in Fallout 3 was in dire need of a rework and Fallout 4 offers at least an acceptable fix.
I hope we somehow get an update / mod to be able to create Gen 1 synths & Power Armor AI's, that'd be lovely.
The system as it was in Fallout 3 was in dire need of a rework and Fallout 4 offers at least an acceptable fix.
the system in new bagel was fine. it needed some tightening to be sure, but fallout 4's system is a step down imo
Fallout 4's system is fine, it's just the perks themselves that are super boring, much like the perks in Fallout 3 and Skyrim.
the system in new bagel was fine. it needed some tightening to be sure, but fallout 4's system is a step down imo
You can never know if something will work until you try it out. They could very easily rework it again next game.

It does 157 dmg/hit while charged.
