you're not getting my point though. if a new fallout game on fo4's engine would be made, the main reason for that would be to please that large audience some more by offering more content and make extra money off that, just like new vegas main purpose was being a "spinoff" of fo3.
from a marketing perspective, it would be with such "spinoffs" wierd to make it suddenly a complete different experience compared to the game it "spins off" from. nv was still similar to fo3, and that was its success saleswise. same for wolf tob compared to tno. that's why i think it's not unlikely for bethesda to say, again if obsidian has different plans, to keep those fo4 features in and keep it similair. because if they have different plans, it would probably be something like nv, and nv is very different to fo4 (compared to nv to fo3) and fo4 is basically the glorified combat exploration focused version of fo3 with these modern touches on mechanics.
ofcourse i'd like it too if i'm wrong about this, as i really want a proper fallout game again, but just my two cents on the whole situation.
I disagree, while Fallout 4 was definitely and deliberately catering to a more casual audience- i think bethesda is smart enough to realise just letting obsidian do their thing would be the smartest option finacially- because the fact a big chunk of the hardcore fallout fanbase was disappointed with fallout 4 wont have gone unnoticed, and the best way to get money from both the casual audience and the more serious fans is simply to cater to both.
The problem is that nobody's praising all the shit that most people are bitching about. RPG shit aside, nobody's like "oh man I fucking LOVE this voice protag" or "my god I feel such a strong emotional attachment to shaun I'm so glad he's forced so heavily into the game" or "I'm glad the only check in this game is Charisma, it makes it so much easier since I can just dump points into it"
I can accept the new RPG system because it was a decent attempt at reworking skills so you never had those shitty 19/20 moments and they retained most of the perks I actually cared about, and I honestly think it was worth a shot, though personally I'm not a huge fan of it.
Sadly, I have. A lot of people on the fallout facebook page are pretty into the voiced protagonist and the whole missing family member stuff. Not trying to sound like an elitist, because there's nothing super awful about being a more casual fan of a series, but it's generally more casual players that I see praising those changes as improvements.
They could expand upon Pittsburgh a bit more, but I suppose they'll do NYC even though that's overplayed in every entertainment media ever.
If they do NYC they better take notes from the DMZ graphic novel. Literally nothing has ever portrayed a dense war-torn city from the real world like that.

I thought the robot's name was "abomatron" and was disappointed to find out it wasn't
It only has a name because I accidentally hit the rename button and it wouldn't let me back out.
It only has a name because I accidentally hit the rename button and it wouldn't let me back out.
If you hit enter it'll keep the name, you don't have to rename it.
So for the first time ever, 'Kidnapping at Sanctuary Hills'
Casualization is the reason Fallout 4 is awful.
it got 184 hours out of your joyless ass

It's Preston, don't save him.
I wish the Assaultron voice actually had a personality subroutine. I mean KLEO does it just fine.
Is there any way to turn the lights back on in [sp]The Mechanist's lair once you get it as a home?[/sp]
Oh shit lol, dude the steam icon below my avatar does not link to my profile, I just typed in xxx so it didn't show mine, apparently that's someone else's URL
if you mean the spotlights just turn on (or connect I forgot) the generator on the table
Also, some people were talking about making eyebots, can you make them? I couldnt find anything on making them.
Is there anyway I can reset/revert quests that I have completed? Trying to fix up some bugs.

You need the schematics for the eyebots pods, theyre [sp]in the mechanist room, I THINK it was on her desktop, but i may be wrong[/sp]
I didn't realize just how big Legendary roaches were until this fucker crawled out from under the skeleton.

Being legendary doesn't make it big, radroaches just come in a bunch of sizes. You can see really tiny legendary roaches as well
Must be me then.
I've never gotten anything but giant legendary ones.
Holy shit meeting the Mechanist was not what I thought.
[sp]Was not expecting the Mechanist to be a girl[/sp]
Welcome to Robot Hell, sinners

I was honestly expecting [sp]it to be the guy from Fallout 3. She even has the Protectrons Gaze laser pistol which is the reward the Mechanist in FO3 gives you for killing the Antagonizer.[/sp]

[sp]I think that it's heavily hinted that the caravan drawings she got were from the kid you get that quest from in Fallout 3. He was a big fan of the Mechanist, and his initials match up with the drawings, so I wouldn't be surprised if the weapon was something he included and she made her own version from that. The default mods for it even make it work the same way as the Fallout 3 one. Bethesda did a lot of attention to detail when it came to referencing the Fallout 3 Mechanist with this DLC.[/sp]
So are you able to bring with you a robot army or are you still limited to one 'companion'?
Has a mod been put out which lets you bring said robot army with you?
Is [sp] Ada's [/sp] voice actor Kuvira's from legend of korra? Because she sounds A LOT like her. If so what kinda shit can I mod her to make her a badass metal bender.

[sp]Yeah, I looked it up just before you posted. I must have missed the dialogue/diary entry that mentioned the caravan with the drawings. I did wonder who D.P was a reference to, can't say Bethesda didn't do their homework. It's funny having minor FO3 characters referenced in FO4 since I can never fucking remember them. MacCready was another.[/sp]

I am going to have a lot of fun with this.
It's a damn shame he doesn't have any lines relating to having a new body. "So this is what it feels like to have legs"

Who, Zelda? No.
Does anyone else find it disapointing that the [sp]Assaultron head[/sp] is functionally the same as a laser musket? I don't even really feel like they're different beyond visually, ignoring the radiation effect.
