Fallout Thread V26: At least it's not a Nuclear Winter

What is annoying in this game is that everything is named "Raider" even the gunners are raiders. Can't join them or interact with them, nothing!
also, i've retaken fallout 4 and i have to say, i'm playing many quest i haven't played before like the quest Daisy gives you about going to the boston public library. Just no.. only combat. there is no diversity. it's the same thing. no point in going there. there's not enough "unique" item. I would loved some more collectors and unique piece to take and show in my settlements, more "unique" clothing and clutters :/. I would also loved to see more unarmed weapon :)
I'm still hoping that someone would port every NV weapon that isn't already in fallout 4 in fallout 4.
also ojo bueno and nmc for fallout 4
every textures in 4k, imagine how the game would look like :v: fallout isnt as popular as the elder scrolls but i think we can get some great graphic mod
i really love the ghoul/deathclaw diversity in type of monster, radclaw radghoul putrid ghoul withered ghoul, this is exactly what i think mods could do for other monsters
also, seeing a radstag clan in boston from a bus and then they moves away after wandering a bit, beautiful sight
So many modding possibilities in fallout 4, what a lust for modding :v:
so bad half of it is wasted on sexy girl/nude/female-only mods..
I miss the sadomasochist raiders, wish there were at least some in FO4. These new guys are pretty much just hostile scavs, nowhere near as unhinged.

You like the sight of your own blood :nope: ?
Yeah sentry bot legs seem more suited for heavy weapons (like the dual gatling lasers shown earlier in the thread). Guess I'll have another go later.
On the meanwhile, post your Adas

They're still Jet and Psycho addicts, they still hang corpses on meat hooks and spike heads on poles, they still capture and torture people, loot bodies, kill on sight, and generally get off on sadism.
The difference is that they're given more depth by terminal and journal entries and by the conversations they have in their down time that you hear when you sneak around.
what are you talking about
do you seriously think that Bethesda is uninterested in making and marketing their product for the mass market?
that's an incredibly naive position along the lines of valve can do no wrong. it's unfortunate for those of us who enjoy at least a marginally more complex experience, and the reasoning for fallout and elder scrolls' respective "casualization" is most certainly a reflection of moving market trends within the video game market as it has over the past 2 decades developed from a relatively niche market to one that is ready to eclipse film and television in profits if it hasn't already
I mean I'm not cynical and bitter about it anymore but fo4 in retrospect certainly feels like a pretty substantial departure compared to previous titles

I think it's less Casuals and Hardcores, and more Mass Market and Niche Market.
One is a market AAA devs go for because it means profit for their expensive games. Sometimes the game are great, sometimes they're not.
Indie devs like to aim for the niche market since sometimes they don't care too much for profit, just about bringing a certain thing back. This is the basis of most nostalgia based kickstarters. Lots of Pixel art, the promise of 90s crpg mechanics and beat your balls to paste difficulty, etc.
And while I'm not a fan of /v/'s I hate everything, I am agreeing more with the idea that Fallout 4 is a fun game, but not a very good Fallout title. It does feel alot like Borderlands, but without cel shading and a Gorillion guns.
Mass market is a much better phrase to explain the kind of gamers I meant in my earlier posts, I was hesitant to use the word "casual" because it's constantly used as an insult by nerds, but I was on my way out and couldn't think of better term at the time.

I dunno, seems like these guys are tamer, I haven't noticed as much of the sadism in FO4. It seems more like shock value based psych warfare than random cruelty - like they chop up dead bodies more than live ones.
I think it's the lack of the whole BDSM themes in their armor and bases. sure they still hack up bodies, but in previous games there seemed to be something fetishistic about it , and that made it far more disturbing imo.
these raiders are not nearly homoerotic enough to be in a Mad Max movie

I always liked this mod for making the Raiders more psychotic looking.

If her explosive miniguns break, do you have to build them back on again? I can't completely understand what chance to break means.
I just found a mod that'll make my Robotnik run more authentic
If her explosive miniguns break, do you have to build them back on again? I can't completely understand what chance to break means.
Nope, it's very poorly worded, they regen just like any other part would if broken off during battle, they just have a higher chance of breaking is all, the whole "unstable" thing is minimal in the scheme of things really.
If her explosive miniguns break, do you have to build them back on again? I can't completely understand what chance to break means.
They have a 2% chance to explode per animation event. Meaning every time they are about to fire, the parts can randomly explode as if someone shot them off. They will still regenerate normally or pop into existence when you shove a RRK into your bot.
New Vegas' Dead Money ended on a very high note today with [sp]Father Elijah being sealed into the Sierra Madre's vault[/sp]
Veronica's Dress is also the best suit I've managed to find this far

Remember that Pipe Shotgun art that was posted a while ago?

It's getting ported to FO4.

The end of the barrel looks way too clean for something that's meant to be made out of 200 years old pre-used pipes.
Also looks closer to a grenade launcher than a shotgun imo, the barrel is fucking huge.

i like how stupidly big the bore is, it's what i imagine a dumb wastelander with no gunmaking experience would build to hunt yao guai

There's already a pipe shotgun mod that adds various barrels (1 to 4 barrels at once so you can have quad barrel shotty) and such mods but this is a thing of beauty. Hopefully it gets some more unique mods to come along with it.

Now I want a mod that adds hilariously shitty and nonfunctional weapons that all have horrible flaws, ranging from not firing at all to exploding in your hands, instantly crippling both of your arms.

Definitely would fit in now that we've got the salvaged assaultron head, and you can potentially irradiate yourself to death if you're not careful.

Could do with some W40K Orks to go with them.
So I found a bug and a half, apparently (atleast for me), when you send a robot to a settlement, instead of actually going there, they'll go to the settlement where they were built, and then they'll just go wander around a seemingly random part of the commonwealth, Like when I sent my battlebot to a settlement, instead of going there, it went back to Sanctuary Hills, where I built it, and then when I teleported to it again a few ingame days later, it was wandering around like 200 feet north of the settlement it was supposed to go to (and it was walking away from the settlement)
Welp, guess its time to keep a list of all of my robots refIDs, just incase.

It could be named after the wrestler
