So cynic nature deviated my thoughts today and I'm half expecting another mothership zeta type DLC for fallout 4 because bethesda loves those aliens so much. BUT what if they did one in the vein of flash gordon? Complete with war rocket ajax, ming ring and skin-tight suits as far as the eye can see. I'm surprised it hasn't crossed their minds given the time period the original series ran in.
That's exactly why I'm actually keen for a possible zeta-like DLC in Fallout 4, because I think Fallout 4 is more likely to cheese it up, making it whacky, 50's style adventure sci-fi serials fun. Zeta sucked really hard in 3 because it actually took itself seriously. all the alien designs were gross and dumb and everything fell flat because it was played too safe. that and endless corridors. I think 4 could ham it up and make it crazy, over the top alien sci-fi fun. It's already got the aesthetic down pat, and it's not like 4 is taking itself too seriously in a majority of places anyway. It'd be great. Plus, they could totally do another spacewalk segment except this time with power armor and a jetpack.
One thing I hope the DLC's and G.E.C.K add is a Vault door closing animation for player made vaults. Bugs me so much you can't close it.
Speaking about doors and mods, I want a mod that lets you make doors you and only you can open. I want to make a gate and a cage but npcs just keep walking through amd opening them.
Does completing the quest Inside Job make the institute hostile?
Does doing the quest Inside job make the institute hostile?
No, but having X6-88 around when you hand in the holotape is something he hates.
No, but having X6-88 around when you hand in the holotape is something he hates.
So i can finish this quest with no worry of making the institute hostile. (Roleplay reasons) Taking over the institute as the minutemen general instead of destroying them. (Institute ending) and i just like a clear quest log.
Yeah, the Inside Job is essentially just insurance in case anything goes wrong. I personally never hand in the tape because I'd rather avoid doing anything against the Institute when possible as a supporter of them.
I think it's really stupid that [sp]there's no reaction or even special dialogue when you bring Paladin Danse or X6-88 into the Railroad HQ I had Danse literally standing next to Desdemona in full armor and laser rifle while she was explaining the presence of some new group called the Brotherhood of Steel and how they are to be treated as total enemies until they gather more intel on them.[/sp]
Maybe she was talking about a different Brotherhood of Steel.
Was just reading up on "Institutionalized" what does this mean [sp]If you kill Father while being a member in the Railroad, a dramatic change in quests will occur.[/sp] it doesn't actually explain what the change is.

If you take X6-88 into the RR, doesn't it instantly make them hostile?
If you take X6-88 into the RR, doesn't it instantly make them hostile?
Yup, no dialogue confrontation, nothing. Instantly hostile.
I figured for X6-88 it makes the most sense. Complete hostility is still a reaction. [sp]After all, you're bringing a Courser directly to the Railroad, they're not exactly going to waste time asking you why you'd do something so monumentally stupid, and X6-88 would probably tell his superiors where the Railroad was located at the first opportunity.[/sp]
Since I've recently bought New Vegas, I think I can now safely post inside this thread A question I'd like to ask is about Cass' companion quest At a certain point in the questline you can decide to either solve her problem by force or peacefully. Unfortunately, that means either killing off several enemies I'm not in any condition to kill off at the point I am in the game (I'm at level 5) or sneaking up into two rooms filled with NPCs and open up things that require a high level of lockpick (a skill I'm fond of rising, but not at the same rate as other ones) I've picked the peaceful solution, and Cass keeps telling me that if I don't find the evidence she needs soon she'll go on a rampage or something Does this mean the whole thing is on a time limit? Because if that's the case, I'm fucked
This is what I've been waiting for: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10887/?
This is what I've been waiting for: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10887/?
frank horrigan 2.0 cool!
This is what I've been waiting for: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10887/?
I suddenly have a strong urge to use him as a companion now.
After installing the Full Dialogue Interface mod, I'm no longer able to save my game in Fallout 4. It still comes up saying "Saving..." but the save itself never shows up in the list of saves when I try loading it so I pretty much can't progress any more. I've uninstalled the mod, verified the integrity of the game cache and reinstalled Fallout 4 but I still can't save the game. Does anyone know how I could fix this?

Might help.
RNG stopped screwing me over and actually gave me something useful, an Instigating Plasma Rifle, upgraded it and it does 52 Ballistic and 52 Energy Damage, so 208 damage if they're at full health, I'm actually going for Headshots aswell, I've been one shotting so many things now it's great.
When you take the survival guide too seriously.
ironically bayonets don't do much at all in-fact the double-barrel has a spiked muzzle break which enhances melee damage but you don't even use it, you still bash with the stock
I have belatedly come to the realization that someone at Bethesda may have a potentially fatal misunderstanding of the differences between gun calibers. After acquiring a .308 pipe rifle and turning it into the "Sniper Pistol," I noticed that .38 and .308 pipe pistols have the same amount of recoil in Fallout 4. They also have an identical sound effect when firing. A .45 pipe pistol has TWICE as much recoil as either of them and has a unique sound. Also, the 10mm pistols have even less recoil than the .38 guns. In reality, it goes something like .38<<<.45<10m<<<<<<<<<.308. For reference, this is how a real .308 pistol looks. It's so loud and ridiculous that everyone else in the range stops firing. Yet, ingame, the character is somehow capable of holding their overly-long abomination of a .308 Sniper Pistol with a normal handgun stance and not even the slightest hint of a sore wrist. I guess it would have been a waste of development resources to make it fly out of your hands with every shot because you thought it would be cool to have a gun bigger than the Punisher's.
ironically bayonets don't do much at all in-fact the double-barrel has a spiked muzzle break which enhances melee damage but you don't even use it, you still bash with the stock
I've noticed some pretty significant change in melee damage when using bayonets on low STR runs, actually.
I've noticed some pretty significant change in melee damage when using bayonets on low STR runs, actually.
Im usually too busy raking in those sweet silenced weapons bonuses to use bayonets, do they have a separate set of finisher moves for them?, id totally stick a knife on my sniper rifle if it meant i could run a guy through with the thing.
