Is there a mod that makes the trash piles in settlements scrapable? I was using Spring Cleaning but my game runs noticeably worse with it and I go overboard clearing shit out. I just want the ability to remove the piles of plastic shit and the inexplicable refuse in every house.
There's this mod, but I haven't tried it yet.
Supposedly the areas where the trash is are not navmeshed, so it may mess with your settlers and followers.
Is there a person or thing around keeping track of FPer mods?

And here's my in progress town. That bigass building is where I'll be maintaining power armor and building robots.

The ammo bug is probably related to the most recent patch fixing an exploit where your magazine would refill if you switched away from a weapon and then back to it.
That is to say, another case of Bethesda breaking things by trying to fix them.

The war is over son.
What are you doing.
I'm surprised the assaultron head gun can't be modded at all, I feel like there's something you could do with it. You could put something like lead plating and an actual grip and trigger on it to reduce or completely eliminate the self-irradiating. It could even be a continuous beam weapon like an actual assaultron head laser, instead of just Laser Musket 2: Pistol Boogaloo, with the receiver mods focusing on the duration of the beam.
I don't know, I feel like the only thing going for it is if you went with the pistol perks, and even then, I'd rather not use a weapon that kills me as I use it. And it's not like the damage is super high or anything to make up for it, it's literally just 5 points of damage lower than a 5-crank laser musket.
I'm a bit late on this, but this mod buffs the DLC weapons and makes them way better. Works great with the weapon balance overhaul mod.
Which hand is the dominant hand for bots again? I threw a cryo weapon on cumsworth thinking he'd spam scatter laser and he did for like an hour now he's dedicated to freezing everyone.
From what I've read, left is the hand is what the will use the most while right is their secondary weapon, but they can dual wield guns without problems.
Pretty sure there are, but if you want a quick and dirty solution, and If you want to clip through other objects and not geometry, you can use TCL (Toggle Collisions).
Enter TCL into the console and everything you pick up afterwards will lose it's collision when placed until you turn on TCL again, allowing you to intersect objects. Unfortunately you can't pick up anything you removed collisions on until you toggle it again either, so it can be tedious.
AFAIK, you still can't place them in "RED" even if you use TCL
However the TCL will make object placing slightly more free..
So I have a ton of new glitches since the dlc came out. Hud elements not aligning, every texture looking n64 regardless of what texture quality is set to, loading screens taking over a minute, stuff like that. Is this all because I dare set my configuration files to read only one time? How do I fix this?
Yeah I've had it where a few saves have corrupted for no reason at all. Fallout 4's saves seem to be a bit unreliable, especially when mods are involved.
F4SGE would be a good place to start with checking your saves, provided that the game can actually read data from your saves. If you just get the picture but no level/time played, then your save is corruped.
F4SGE could read the data and displayed the level/time played, so I can rule it out being a problem with the save, yes?
Wow, the mass pike tunnel is filled with little scenes made with props and skeletons.
how is this for a bayonet for the pipe shotgun?

Should i do something totally different or change anything?
So here's what I've done to attempt to fix the fact that the saves not loading:
1. Deleting inis
2. Deleting plugins.txt and dlclist.txt from appdata/local
3. Checking game cache (0 files were missing)
4. Disabled mods (excluding Automation)
5. Checked save through F4SGE to see if it was corrupt (It wasn't corrupt)
6. Updated drivers to the latest version
7. Started a new game to see if it worked (it worked)
Any suggestions before I reinstall the game?

Have you looked at the save in the game's load menu? The lack of level/time played there is what tells you if it's corrupt or not.
Seeing as Fallout 4 seems to (sometimes) crash if you try to load a save that's missing mods, it would be worth checking your plugin list in F4SGE in case there's a mod in that list that's not active/not installed.

The save displays the time played on the load menu, I don't believe that level displays in the load menu however, because it doesn't show it for any save on any character.
F4SGE displays every plugin I have except for a strange discrepancy, F4GSE isn't displaying Reverb and Ambiance overhaul and its Automatron patch, which is strange.

A kitchen knife taped to the barrel is pretty much the perfect improvised bayonet I can think of.
How about 2 knives though, more knives more stabbing is p much what I can imagine a drugged up raider thinking.

I like that. i'm surprised now that there's no vanilla bayonets that strap a chef's knife to the barrel.
i think you're doing great work, by the way. Once the damage balance comes in, and a few new mods, this'll be a must-have.
I can see this being used as a close-quarters "Fuck-off" weapon with the sawed-off barrel. If only there were different grades of shotgun shell. this as a smoothbore 6-gauge garage gun would be wonderful.

I like it, although a cooler mod could be one on top and one on bottom, but that might obscure the iron sights.

Oh right, the game doesn't show the level in the load menu, only the continue one. Check that if you can.
F4SGE not having a plugin listed shouldn't be an issue, especially with that kind of mod.
You might just have to give up on this character, especially if other characters and a new game work fine.
I like it, although a cooler mod could be one on top and one on bottom, but that might obscure the iron sights.
Just use another one as the iron sights, problem solved!

Your aim would be pretty sharp, your enemy would get the point straight away, knife pun.
Reinstalling a mod setup from scratch, only to realise the only reason the game wasn't starting up properly before was that I installed reshade 2.0 rather than the 1.1 or whatever the shader mod required.
I am pissed off that I didn't get ballistic weave beforehand and now I have almost 3 days into the game. Should I A. Go back to my 22h save, B. Wait for console mods (Yes I am on the one...) or C. It isn't worth it.

Ballistic weave is totally worth it, it's second only to power armour stats wise, and with the correct under armour, namely army fatigues, you can also wear armour ON TOP OF IT too, giving you another boost over the already insane amount of armour the ballistic weave provides you.

I normally don't have to go that far though, because this is pretty much enough protection for me, plus the charisma bonuses for shops too, plus 99% of the time I'm in power armour, it's not very often I leave the safety of my death dealing shell.
I wonder if modding for Fallout 4 will get to a point where it'll be possible to have Fallout 3 and Fallout NV included as a whole, much like TTW did. Would probably be a hell of a lot harder since the visual transition would be ugly going from Fallout 4's style to NV's, or 3's. And you'd probably have to redo all the named NPC faces individually.
At the very least, maybe not the quests, but the entire maps.
