i really hope when the geck comes out it has the ability to make new weapon classes and animations, unlike the skyrim CK's limitation.
Because i'd kill for almost all of these to be made, and be implemented in the game, in addition to some non-pipe equivalents for the classes that don't have many options.
Like seriously why is the only smg terrible even with the right perks, and why are there no pump action shotguns?

Like everything in the art of fallout 4, right? The name of this game shouldn't be fallout 4, but "Wasted potential 2" because fallout 3 was also "Wasted potential 1" they could have made fallout 4 and 3 bigger than they actually are. They are not.
And even with the concept art, not many people will do mods based on them, too much work. I don't see many mods based on the concept art of fallout 3, sadly.. there is many thing to do without the needs for inspiration, you have everything in a books, every idea is made, but no, sadly you won't make it.
111K of voiceline, i think they counted the numbers of voice files.. and of course the 26k of voiceline wasted on the 2 genders of SS, the female's worse than the man :/

The SMG is terrible because the way armour works in Fallout 4 means weaker shots have their damage reduced more than powerful ones. It's similar to New Vegas but in that game your damage could only be reduced to 20% so they were never completely useless.
I like the new system because it mean high level power armour is basically (but not literally) immune to damage from low calibre ammo. All you need to do to fix it is to get a mod that increases automatic weapons base damage by 50% or something. I use a mod called Weaponry Overhaul (which I can't find on the nexus because their search function sucks) and it increases the damage of most weapon types, it also makes the minigun and the submachinegun (and all auto receivers) actually good by boosting their base damage by 4 or so points.
I can't blame Bethesda for not making every single piece of concept art a reality and getting it all in the game, but I do agree that it's a shame modders don't make more concept art based mods.
I've always been disappointed in the Fallout modding scene when it comes to weapons and armor in general really. Like half of the top modders make ill-fitting modern guns and tactical gear, which even if the models are good I just personally can't bring myself to use, and the other half make ~sexy hawt slutty clothing for generic plastic alien barbie follower number 427 (CBBE)~ type garbage leaving actually very little in the way of well made weapon/clothing mods.

How is it worth it to use a auto receiver? you use a complete magazine only to kill one supermutant ESPECIALLY with the 10mm, they just kill the enemys fasters but use more ammo. Plus they have terrible recoil. And the minigun.. hell of a spread, useless, takes places for nothing, only for RP purposes. I like using it anyways when i'm on power armor, always feel badass to shred people with PA, bulky armors with bulky weapons = best thing ever.

That's what I'm saying, the mod makes it so automatic weapons aren't worthless garbage. The increase in base damage also means an increase in bonus damage from perks. It also does other things like making recoil more manageable.

I totally agree with you. But you know what really grinds my gears? Only female mods. What is wrong with the man SS? I always play with a male SS but it seems like we don't have enough customization mods for us :(
My latest playthrough with the most time in it is with the female protagonist because I wanted to see if the lines were any different, which sadly they aren't, then also because I said fuck it and continued to play with her because I already beat the game a few times, and I wanted to try and make every settlement in the game a real settlement.

I think that [url=http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11238/?]Better Automatron Weapons[/url] is the only mod so far that covers all of the Automatron weapons, though.
