If anything I wouldn't mind a mod adding in the parts as combat armor variants xD
Made something over the weekend which I think fallout people might like.

Not sure if you guys liked it, but there's a whole comic here in the screenshot section https://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1512167
Reminded me of this;

Maybe it's due to my level (32), the skills I levelled up over the game (I've achieved 100 in all the skills I was interested in, so banter, speech, guns, sneak, melee weapons and lockpick) and my ludricrous amount of magnum rounds, but as of now I'm tearing through the end content of New Vegas like it was made of paper
Sneak attacks with guns are friggin' DEVASTATING and tend to make an enemy head explode in bloody gibs with one single shot, and should an enemy survive that I have a high chance to finish it/him/her off due to my high critical chance
So, can anyone who only first played original 2 Fallout games within the past 3 years or so - were they complex or confusing to you? Because it's strange to see people talk about those games as such, while I practically religiously played them in early to mid teens.
i didn't find it very confusing, just a bit difficult at first. the main thing that'd probably trip up a lot of players is the lack of quest markers
I had to reset my Sanctuary Hills cell
Rest in peace my affordable wasteland brick housing :frown:
How's Fallout 4's GECK doing?
it isnt doing at all
I promised myself not to equip anything from Old World Blues due to how futuristic and out of place everything looks, but in the end some of the new gear is just too good to simply ignore
The Stealth suit Mk II is the fucking shit, for example, and you can also upgrade it FOUR TIMES via rather easy stealth missions in the same location
How's Fallout 4's GECK doing?
Latest promise by the Howard himself is this month: http://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2016/02/22/todd-howard-discusses-fallout-4-dlc-mods-amp-survival-mode.aspx
When can we expect to see mods, especially on console side?
Our goal is between the first two DLCs. It’ll go up at that time on PC. In April. All of that stuff will go up on PC.
The stealth suit MkII would be better if there was a vanilla way of shutting it the fuck up.
It looks better than Fallout 3's suit, though.

I don't understand. A lot of future stuff is in Fallout the Enclave Power Armor looks future as shit.

Maybe I'm experiencing a severe case of frustrated libido, but I'm starting to find the suit's voice ... oddly arousing

Power armors in general don't look out of place in the Fallout universe because, while being excellent at what they do, they look like they have been crafted in the supposed time period of the game's universe, with the technology available
Some Old World Blues exclusive gear seems to be rather alien in design at times, even if we take into account that it was created by scientists who achieved greater scientific discoveries than the rest of civilization. Cases in point

Thought this was cool.

You can place boats and also create your own barge.

Some of these bugs in survival mode are really annoying.
I was exploring around bunker hill/Cambridge and cleared out that one raider camp at the checkpoint bridge. I forgot to tell Codsworth to wait somewhere and, like usual, he teleported to me while I was in a very high altitude place (this time, on one of those elevator platforms) and fell and got disabled. I just rolled my eyes, thankful I had the foresight to bring a robot repair kit this time.
I eventually make my way down to him and prod with the prod. He just sits there, still disabled. I can't interact with him at all now. I figure he'd pick himself back up eventually, so I start walking away.
He disappears.
Fuck you, codsworth. I'm putting legs on your stupid ass as soon as I can.
What the fuck is the point then? Survival, but you can save whenever you want, so where's the danger if you can load a save game from like 30 seconds ago.
Maybe I don't want to walk all the way across the world again because I forgot to take a catnap. That's not survival, that's just tedious and not fun.
Calm your dick.
[editline]a[/editline]
Not to mention Bethesda games are buggy as shit and, since the console's disabled, the whole "save every five steps" thing I've done since Oblivion is pretty much doubled.
[editline]a[/editline]
I also like how you say "what the fuck is the point then" as if that's the only thing that Survival changes lmao what if people want all the other changes but not the dumb save bullshit stop being dumb lol
[editline]2nd April 2016[/editline]
Also I don't have a problem where weapons won't load when you use hotkeys anymore.
Hot fucking damn guess I'm buying an SSD.
Apparently Survival Mode also adds a hidden feature in the form of tiny gremlins that fuck around with your ammo stocks when you go to sleep.
What I'm saying is there's a bug that empties your magazine when you go to sleep. That caught me by surprise and got me killed a bunch of times.
is survival officially out or still in beta testing?
is survival officially out or still in beta testing?
Beta. It's fun
it's called Batch File Tester. just type help batch 4 misc
[any time you're looking for something that you know the name of, type
help "____" x
help returns any ID with ____ in the name. if the name requires a space use quotes around it. x is a value 0-4, 0 for all IDs, 1 for functions, 2 for settings, 3 for globals, 4 for all else. if you use 4, you can add a four-character string afterwards to specify which kind of ID from all else that you want. examples: misc, ammo, NPC_, furn, weap]
So I've noticed that water wells in settlements that you can drink from, eventually run out of water for your character to drink. I usually get 2-3 drinks from full dehydrated to hydrated before the well just refuses to hydrate your character any more.
Anyone else experience this on survival?
I've just finished Old World Blues
By the look of it, I've achieved a golden ending or something, since:
[sp]- The Think Tank scientists are dead and therefore were prevented from bringing their experiments to the outer world
- Apparently, as the sole master of the whole facility, my courier will use the scientific advancements there to improve mankind's life when the time will be right (something I think it's tied to my high karma, Messiah)
- Since I've taken the time to find all the Sink's Personalities, they are basically one big happy family bent on improving the conditions inside the crater[/sp]
Onto A Lonesome Road

[sp] I think the better ending has all the scientists surviving and the Think Tank using their investigations to improve the life in the Wasteland. And maybe the one where Rex and the robot dog have puppies [/sp]
Hope you've got that Survival and Speech skill up to 100 before going into Lonesome Road, because boy does that DLC's story rely on these two skills.

The time period isn't supposed to be "eternally 1950s", it's supposed to be "1950s world of tomorrow"
all three of those are definitely the sort of shit people in the 50s would have expected from the future
Fallout 4 is $30 right now on Amazon for it's Game Changer sale. 5% of the price goes towards charity too.

I personally thought the halos and energy melee weapons were a little too much even for Fallout, but I still liked them.
