A real M2HB machine gun weighs in at 84 pounds, so it's really not that far off in terms of weight realism.
and an M134 is 85, but that wouldn't be very fun
what annoys me (enough to install a mod to fix it) is how you can have five sets of Deep Pocketed armor that boost your carry weight by 75 lbs total, but the second you step into Power Armor you lose all of that because armor effects don't apply when suited up. before modding, i would avoid any stray sets in the wild because i didn't want to have to drop all my junk in order to lug home.

Actually, newer variants bring it's unloaded weight down to 42 pounds. Still heavy, but realistically usable by someone in power armor.
And what's not to love about something spitting .308/7.62 NATO at you at 3,000 RPM.
It really disappoints me how none of your companions have anything to say when you bring them with you to talk to Father. You'd think someone like Nick or Danse would have a lot of questions.

Oh, you're talking about on top of the CIT building? I dunno honestly, that seems like some wasted opportunity.
I wish you could bring companions into the institute
like it really disappointed me when the [sp]BOS[/sp] went storming in and they went straight to the old rusted destroyed part of the building and [sp]Maxson[/sp] was all like "ugh i expected more from these people". like... c'mon...
Played through the ending. Felt like a piece of shit. [sp] Helped Railroad destroy the Brotherhood after they tried to take out Danse. Promised Glory she didn't die in vain. Then betrayed and hunted down the Railroad and watched my grand-dad-son die and leave all his shit in my lap [/sp]
Does anyone else have this issue where you have so many mods that you actually can't start a new game? Like you click "new game" and you just sit on the main menu with the background still going and the little loading thing in the corner.

In New Vegas, I always liked siding with Mr. House because I actually liked him and what he was looking to accomplish, that and he actually had the means to do what he was saying.
In Fallout 4 though, [sp]I don't believe that The Institute are humanity's best hope for a future when they're annoying shit heads and replace random people on the surface so they can better study them, like seriously they're not in a fucking Petri Dish to be examined under your Microscope, fuck off, and also how they are with the Synths and their bullshit attitude about them actually developing their own personalities and shit, about how they're like nope, they're tools to be used by us, we created them, they do as we say or they get destroyed.[/sp]
Brotherhood.
[sp]The Brotherhood are just dumb, let's start our own War so we're the ones calling the shots on it, because Wars are predictable and people are just going to accept your shit, like seriously following their ending, do they seriously expect everyone to be alright with them when they're fucking Racists?[/sp]
Railroad.
[sp]And the Railroad are just faggots really, they have a short term goal that causes them problems like having to help loads of people at once and blah blah blah they're retards basically, I don't mind them saving Synths but they're really dumb about not wanting to destroy Synths at all, even if they're the Gen 1s and 2s, which are straight up Robots that you cannot reason with.[/sp]
And finally I don't mind the Minutemen, they're actually alright.
Even though I haven't beaten the game yet, the Minutemen always seemed like the best option to me. They have no ideology or anything they want to force on the Commonwealth, they just want it to be a peaceful place to live.

That happens for me with any mods on at all, even the DLC. I just disable them, start a new game and once I leave the vault, quit out and activate my mods
honestly the only beth game I ever actually completed was FO3 and I've put hundreds of hours in everything since Morrowind. I always get caught up in side stuff and never manage to get back to the main quest

my merge =(

Plus the idea of leading a group is nice but sadly there is nothing you can do about it, like for example imagine if you could choose basic outfit/gear that minutemen would wear and use.
It would seem as though the Chemist perk, actually increases the amount of health you get back from Nuka Cola Quantum, I'm looking at the Ice Cold one at the moment and I have Chemist 2, It says it'll give me 1300 HP.

I agree, just a pity they have a shitty character like Preston dragging them down, actually you know what, it's not just that, Preston is small time compared to the actual problems that the Minutemen "faction" has, such as the fact that they don't seem like a very finished part of the game, as if they were an afterthought.
Everything about them just recycles quests from other factions or attempts to make them SEEM like a faction by using the horribly overused and quite frankly mediocre "raident quest" system, which Bethesda seems to think is a good enough replacement for actual solidly written handcrafted quests, which compared to previous games in the Fallout series and even the Elder Scrolls series, Fallout 4 is lacking significantly in that regard, I would have much preferred an actual quest line for them, it's a pity how undercooked they are because I do like the Minutemen as an idea, but the execution, oh jesus the execution. :disappoint:
[editline]edit[/editline]
I really can't wait for more mods that really flesh out the Minutemen and make them the faction they were supposed to be.
I think food spoilage would be a good addition to survival. There'd be no point in having pre-war food spoil, as it's been sitting for 200 years. I think mutant/animal meat should be susceptible to spoilage though. Also, it'd be neat (if you're cannibal) if you could take some meat off human enemies for a snack.
Speaking of DLC, that next one better come with a big ass two-handed wrench weapon.
I just want a DLC that unfucks melee.
They shouldn't be able to block certain weapons with bare hands.
I've slept there several times, and had no trouble loading from those save games.
you're correct, just turns out it was hit and miss for me.
I spent like 16 hours getting established on a new save and the automatron quest is glitched out, I really wish we had console with common cheat commands like tcl and tgm disabled.

Guarantee there'll be a "Melee Overhaul" mod when the CK hits

i was wondering why the first time I used melee I wasn't having as much fun with the super sledge as I remember
there should be certain melee weapons that break through blocks and some that deal reduced damage on blocks IMO
being able to block a rocket-powered sledgehammer with your bare forearm and not at the very least cripple an arm is bullshit
Is Oh My Papa supposed to be a broken piece of shit quest? I've done everything I could to try and start the quest, but when I leave the Great Khan longhouse Regis appears next to me, but he doesn't start the quest by talking to me and instead just walks back inside like nothing ever happened. I even tried to advance the quest through the console and it didn't work.
Skibadaa just put out a weapon that i might actually keep in my game

Reminds me of the Dshk in metro 2033 that was converted to fire shotgun shells

they should make a perk where the max level makes your opponent's forearms explode into gore whenever they try to block one of your melee attacks
hell, add it to big leagues because head batting never works anyways

A light perhaps?
It's supposed to be an advertisement screen according to the concept art for F3

i think a cool middleground to the no fast travel thing would be you 'joining' a brahmin caravan to one of your other settlements after you get the required perk, that way there'd be a carriage/silt strider type travel system while keeping things still restricted
