Huh in 1.5, saves that have mods on them are prefixed with [M]
Wait, did 1.5 release out of beta or is it still there because don't mods not work in the beta?
Edit- Some extra content from Hitman

Don't know if this was already in NV but he somehow got different equips for the same type of gun.

Also how do you change NPC appearance with the console?
if console doesn't work out, faceripper works just fine. Make a face using SLM on yourself, then take that face and swap it with who ever you want and it'll happen with no errors.

You can force load mods through an autoexec
Yeah, don't use the looks menu to edit unique NPC faces in game, it'll just wonk everything up and turn them into monsters. It's good for giving people haircuts and such, though.

How does Hitman run New Vegas so smoothly?
How does Hitman run New Vegas so smoothly?
if he's an animator/modeler he's probably got a kickass rig to accommodate it
I'm sure most of you have probably seen this on the hub for Fallout 4 on steam, but someone made art of Nick Valentine that they turned into an Astoundingly Awesome Tales magazine cover
what is the thing at the top of the Nuka-Cola machine?

wait, i only have more questions. If the inflation made coffee and a donut cost $30, and monthly magazines are also $30, why is there only a coin slot on the machine? Shouldn't it be taking like, ten-dollar bills at the minimum?
The lighting kinda makes his face look like it has the facial structure of a Black dude's.
The bigger question is why can they only hold 4 bottles, even though the machine is the size of a man
One of the terminals in Automatron says that the bio-med-gel used in the robobrains costed $1,000 a pint. How much is that in today dollars, factoring for inflation? I mean it's probably still a lot but not $1,000 lot.
The bigger question is why can they only hold 4 bottles, even though the machine is the size of a man
I've seen more than 4 bottles in there before. Usually half of them are empty, but still.
[editline]boop[/editline]
I saw a Quantum in a machine once and when I opened the door like 7 total bottles shot out like a waterfall, including a second Quantum and a Cherry. Thought that was pretty interesting. It's happened to me a handful of times but I don't know if it's a thing that happens on purpose or not.
Honestly the Nuka Cola machines in 4 confuse the crap out of me. Why is the part with the soda so small compared to the rest? What's in there? Why does it have a door now? what's stopping people from just paying for one and taking the rest?
Is there any reason you would gain caps out of the blue? I'm right outside of the Wicked Shipping Fleet Lockup and Ranger Cabin, south of Sanctuary, in power armor, holding a mannequin, sprinting towards Wicked Shipping, and I get a message saying "104 Bottle Caps added". No one's around except my robot companion. I don't have any perks that would just give me caps, and as far as I'm aware there is no such perk anyway.
Also, is there any way to get rid of the Suppressed Immunity debuff in Survival? I've read that doctors and antibiotics don't work.
The bigger question is why can they only hold 4 bottles, even though the machine is the size of a man
While researching this, i found the thumbnail of a now missing image which detailed a prop-maker's plan for the machine. basically, the small door area would have a hinged internal back or side panel and when you inserted money, the cola would slide out from a containment matrix inside the machine and pop into the refrigerated section. Perhaps they would be flash-chilled, and the soda would be manufactured to be stable at higher temperatures so they didn't need to be constantly refrigerated.
The bigger question is why can they only hold 4 bottles, even though the machine is the size of a man
If one bottle cost something like $20 then I imagine the rest of the machine is just coin storage.
I found a kidnapped settler in a raider den, is there any way to know what settlement he goes to? I have no active quest about this, and trying to talk with him just opens the trade menu.
I found a kidnapped settler in a raider den, is there any way to know what settlement he goes to? I have no active quest about this, and trying to talk with him just opens the trade menu.
If he's one of the people named settler that you randomly find tied up or being herded by super mutants or in some cases sitting around asking for water, then he'll just go to a random nearby settlement if he decides to go anywhere at all.
If he's a settler from one of your settlements that was actually kidnapped, then iunno, I've never actually had that happen.
Because there wouldn't be a plot if the institute was making farm equipment and a cure for cancer.
Brotherhood catches wind of somebody using advanced technology on a large scale, they don't like that, swoop in and start a war because they're techno-fetishist assholes. There. You can even rewrite the Institute to make the Brotherhood's motivation seem less like they're knee-jerky power-hungry cunts and say something like the Institute would only give these things to people who pledged to support them by acting as a militia or something.
They could have been technocratic neo-feudalists, and the Minutemen/Railroad would then be merged into a faction dedicated to helping serfs run away and/or retaking their liberty or something, which could work just as well if not better than the glorified mob/militia and the gang of morons playing James Bond in a church basement.
I kinda hope the next fallout game has the main quest start off as if you have to find a friend of yours, and just as you start getting plot déjà vu, you find him and then he fucking dies in a manner that leads into the real plot of the game.
And whatever that plot is, I want it to be something new, I really want to see another fallout game with a more unconventional plot, something unique and interesting that doesn't get done very often.
I want the experience of playing new vegas for the first time again.
Because there wouldn't be a plot if the institute was making farm equipment and a cure for cancer.
Actually, the plot would be similar, but I might actually care about killing everyone there if they were making the cure for cancer.

Probably a play on mid 20th century mentality about honor systems and locks
It really doesn't work though since refrigeration mechanisms are compact enough as seen in the fridges in the prewar homes. I would then say they would be nuclear powered but they aren't running. The whole design is a contradiction and doesn't make sense.
I guess they really wanted it for a small gag despite it making no sense what so ever like the boy in the fridge
Fucking bethsoft and their refrigeration, get your shit together
Actually, the plot would be similar, but I might actually care about killing everyone there if they were making the cure for cancer.
kill non-infected only
or infect the entire wasteland and subsequently cure them as propaganda
Holy heck the grenade spam in survival beta is awful.
Like, it's pretty much mandatory to slap padded/dense mods on your armor if you're not going out there with power armor.
