Didn't OWB already do that though
Didn't OWB already do that though
In the physical sense yes.
I was playing fallout 4 on survival and in concord the minigun sound kept playing after I let go of the fire button and then my game crashed
Soo....WW certainly isn't as pleasing as Automatron. Feels more like a mod than anything else, but the new items you get are neat and have actual function beyond just pitting people against eachother, so that's good.
Does anybody know a way to lock the framerate below 60? A 940m wont be getting 60 so locking it to a value below would be pretty helpful
Also, sorry if this sounds dumb, but what does ENBoost do exactly, just add extra config commands?
It's nice that they're actually addressing some of the concerns with proper official content instead of relying solely on mods to fix them.

Your best bet is probably to download ENBSeries, disable all of the effects (shift+enter and disable everything) so that it doesn't kill FPS, then use the built in adjustable cap it has. Other framerate cap programs have never worked on FO4 for me.

I did a little digging, and ENBoost provides an FPS cap too, does it work well?
Is there an exploit to add the console back into survival mode?
I wanted to spawn in the vault 111 security armor and helmet, for fashion's sake.
I tried downgrading to normal fo4, but it told me I had to update if wanted to play the save.
(no, I won't kill the vault 81 security for their armor)

No idea, frankly I dunno what the difference between ENB and ENBoost are if anything. I'm just using the latest ENB which I know for a fact has a working cap, since I've got it capped to 60 because it kept going over 100 and fucking up.
What's with the number of posts this thread has gotten since like, earlier today? It said 188 new posts, what did I miss?

Well maybe if you actually read the thread you'd see a new DLC trailer came out.
how long does it take to get to [sp]diamond city[/sp] from [sp]concord[/sp]
I feel cheated. There's no big wrench weapon.
how long does it take to get to [sp]diamond city[/sp] from [sp]concord[/sp]
do you mean progressing through the story or straight running there?
either way, not long at all.
You only have to mention your son to valentine and then to kellogg, and in both of those occasions you can mention your wife first and your son as byproduct.
What if I actually don't care about either of them
because I don't. I don't care about either of them.
As far as Nora and Shaun are concerned they can go fuck themselves. When I finally get an SSD to help run the game the first damn thing I'm going to do one I get to the Institute is [sp]blast Shaun right in his fucking stupid face[/sp] because then I'm done interacting with that fuck

Roleplaying means that you have to avoid quests and certain content that doesn't fit what your character would do.
So if your character doesn't care about his wife or child, don't do the quests that directly involve your wife and child.
And if you just don't like the characters and don't care about the roleplaying aspect, just blast several shotgun shells in Shaun's wrinkled face as soon as you see him.

You could probably get there in under 5 min if you rushed hard enough

I've been meaning to ask this, but were these (buildable meat bags) added in an update at some point? I recently started a new playthrough for Automatron and noticed them but thought they might be from SSEx but after removing that in anticipation of potential fuckups with the upcoming DLC, I've noticed they, along with a few other misc items I never noticed when I played the game at release, are still buildable even in brand new characters created post-SSEx removal.
I think it was added with Automatron.

You mean the entire main storyline that the game revolves around?

Speaking of which, can't you not do that until after the storyline, that apparently I'm just supposed to avoid if I don't care about the family?
You mean the entire main storyline that the game revolves around?
There's a ton of content outside of the main storyline, like all other Bethesda games.
There's that guy who posted his current run a month ago or so, he had 250+ hours on the game and had only completed three steps of the main quest.

No, it appears as soon as you get to level 15. I got the quest despite purposefully ignoring the main quest (to the point where I did not even step towards Sanctuary or Concord).
This applies way too much to Fallout 4. You hardly had to avoid anything in New Vegas to fit a character role.
Aside from most of the faction quests (playing a Legion sympathizer meant you had to avoid NCR missions, the other way around as well), and the main quest as well.
Depends on what exactly you're going for when it comes to roleplaying, but either way if you don't care about benny or don't care about your wife you have to avoid the Main Quest in order to not break character. Which, in turn, will lock you away from a small portion of MQ related content.
You didn't have to, you got to. That was part of being a legion sympathizer and it was taken into account when they made the game.
Fo4 has a one-track mind and gives you a big fuck you if you don't agree with it.
278 hours in and I haven't completed the main quest a single time. I haven't even gotten past Institutionalized, not once.
With most of my characters I step out of the MQ and just go out and explore and level up based on gimmick runs I come up with. Same way I played Fallout 3 and NV and Oblivion and Morrowind.
Don't do it, because the game gets awful once you do
I wish I had never completed it. I envy your ignorance.
I know everything that happens past that point. I haven't done it yet because I found too much to do outside of the MQ, and I keep getting sidetracked.
I had to put tremendous effort together to finish any of these games' main quest more than once. Until summer of last year, I had only finished Skyrim's MQ once, and otherwise never bothered to do Diplomatic Immunity. I have yet to do the Wildcard ending for New Vegas, I just stop caring about the MQ after Benny eats it and goes on to play the rest of the game.

Probably the most shallow 250 hours of his gameplaying life
Seeing as ive played over 20 hours not progressing the story past concord and im having a blast, try again.
I appreciate fallout 4 isnt the best, but some of you guys -love- jerking yourself off on the hate train. The main quest is honestly a minor fraction of the game. Try survival, it might give you some actual perspective on the shit the games got going for it
I really enjoy Bethesda's formula of games for letting the player just step off the MQ entirely and still have a ton to do. Obsidian replicated this very well once you get past Boulder City.
It's just really fun and in most cases even encouraged by the narrative to step away from the main quest and fuck around.
Yeah, those radiant quests will keep you busy. It's as if they never end!
yeah dude juat plug your ears, your opinion is absolutely fact and invalidates many of our experiences buikt on 'fuck the mq its the weakest part of the game'
Yeah, those radiant quests will keep you busy. It's as if they never end!
I don't do the radiant quests. I just explore around the world, which has like 200+ marked locations to find (on top of all the unmarked stuff).
I mostly roleplay by stopping in hospitable places and just having my character take a break with the constant wandering, usually eating like two or three food items a day until I'd run out, at which point I'd move onto the next place.
Survival makes you appreciate the game so much, finding a tiny unmarked scavver hut with a sleeping back and some cram is like an oasis in the middle of a desert.
