I have to admit, while I really don't mind most of the violence and death animations since they tend to be funny in a slapstick sort of way, the burning to death animations and the characters getting charred to a husk are a bit too... gruesome for my tastes. Even their yells during said animations are more pitiful than comedic. It's really just sorta sad. Even considering possible gameplay advantages, I've been staying away from using pyro ammo due to that. I don't exactly wanna turn violence off because it's part of the game's charm, but this is a bit too brutal.
God damnit! I really hate this. Decided to play some pure support tonight. Already gave up after my first match: [t]http://i.imgur.com/xl92OnC.jpg[/t] I had a medigun as primary and a juice gun as secondary. Yet I have the most kills in my team, however all of my kills come from melee. What is wrong with those people, how damn hard is it to kill an enemy, that is too stupid to kill someone, who is meleeing them even when he has full health and full shield and still dies to these melee attacks!? I really think there is some premium option to disable braindead teammates and get average ones... God, I'm so angry now. GOD ! THEY EVEN RAN PAST ALL DENIALS AND CONFIRMS !!! GOD WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
You can use melee?
Playing against a entire team full of shield users is torture.
Every time I get fucked up by a beam/machinegun in-your-face spamming shield user despite getting several perfect rocket hits at him, a certain Linkin Park song about trying hard and getting far plays in my head. I like Pyro payload, but it's starting to occur to me now might not be the best time to use it.
Playing against a entire team full of shield users is torture.
Tesla tears through shields. One of my loadouts is a triple rocket launcher, a tesla beam, and jump boots. I start by tearing through their shields while getting closer, then I roll jump and double jump while finishing them off with my rockets. Sometimes I manage to kill 2 people with shields by myself because they don't expect me to stay so long in the air.
I really dislike the loadout system in a way Cause i feel like a dick using a shield but i just need it at times, and i want to keep my second loadout as it is
You guys gotta watch this guy snipe. He is crazy. And he uses health packs like 200 hp shields. http://www.twitch.tv/gst800
I only use a shield in my medic loadout cause I need to survive. Otherwise, nades are pretty much what I use.
For the longest time I shied away from tesla because it did less damage than slugs, but trying them out on my tri-barrel mortar launcher I've been managing to kill a lot more people than I thought. Now I'm rolling with basically nothing but tesla.
I really dislike the loadout system in a way Cause i feel like a dick using a shield but i just need it at times, and i want to keep my second loadout as it is
it could be like cod or tf2, being able to change it on the go and stuff, but that way they wouldn't be able to make money out of it

Hypocritically, i have a shield on my tesla loadout
This guy is fucking ridiculous.
You should've seen him earlier trying out a semi auto beam sniper for the first time. He went like 45-6. He had a 27 kill streak.
So I ended a really close extraction match, like 30 to 29 close, and i noticed that the mvp of our team had a level 9 sniper. Taking the costs of upgrading in the tech tree into consideration, i said "level 9 rifle what the fuck." He then downplayed its effectiveness saying "if a rocket does 82 damage at level 1 then at level 20 it will do 84 damage." Fuck this guy. each upgrade for a rocket's slug increases damage by 2.7%. Each upgrade to the heavy barrel increases strength by 1.35% and reload by 0.9%. Each trigger upgrade does .25% more damage and fires 1.8% faster, propulsion does .45% more damage and flies 4.5% faster, etcetra. It all adds up. To apply it to his rifle, each round upgrade adds 2.7% damage, barrel upgrades add 1.8% damage, and magazines add 2.25% damage. Ignoring the additions to firerate, a level 9 single-shot sniper (not headhunter) with semi-auto goes from 49.35 damage to: 49.35 + 49.35*9(0.027) + 49.35*9(0.018) + 49.35*9(0.0225), or 79.33!!!! damage, assuming each bonus applies independently to the base damage and doesn't compound.
Liquid cooling + sniper barrel beam... fucking stupid, you can just roll and jump around like a retard taking 1/3 of a person's hp with hipfire @ 100% accuracy. Ridiculous.
well you sort of have to aim well though, it's not like it's click and win

I've heard that you can't upgrade past level 3 attachment + max rank of the weapon is 12, while EoR guys (Devs) got weapons at 14 rank or smth.

I have a rifle with a spooling trigger and Gatling barrel, is that a good combination?

Default launcher --level 1 Improve Slug payload and you've got a level 2 launcher. Keep the improved slug and improve Cage Barrel too and Presto! you've got a level 3 launcher. Level 9 means -with all likeliness- that most if not all the parts are improved to 2. Take into account that some parts add meaningless stuff like '+0,45% stability' You CAN improve each part even further, but it takes 30'000 blutes a piece, so..

Like I mean if the first upgrade for a part does +1% damage, and the next upgrade gives +1.5% damage, would the part be doing 1.5% more than base, or 2.5% more? Of course if later upgrades add the same or less damage then I'm definitely wrong. It sure would be helpful if I could find the numbers online somewhere.
Playing with a friend is tons more fun than alone. Also healing rifle is great. Healing rifle turret is neat.
[t]http://puu.sh/6RsUJ.png[/t] Finished this, if you do hit the whole charge it deals so much damage.
Playing against a entire team full of shield users is torture.
my slug pulse gatling shits through shields easy, you should get one
Heavy Barrel with Tesla is fantastic for ripping shields off. Heavy plus Slug does like 60 damage on a direct hit, too. Heavy barrel is awesome.
wow i go 15-4 in death snatch my team? 1-8, 1-9, 2-9 Wasn't a good score, but considering I was basically 1v4 the fact I was positive made me happy. Got lots of amazing headshots. ok. Even the enemy team was apologizing for my team and saying "gg donald"

I have been having ridiculous amounts of fun with this game and surprisingly it's a hit with my friends too. Flaming semi-auto pulse scatter has been serving me great, but what would you guys recommend for a secondary? I was thinking of going long range with a beam weapon.
