Well, I'm not sure I can blame him. Last time he played everything was unlocked immediately, and he is kind of abnormally stupid.
i really don't get why tb sucks at videogames so much, you'd think that someone who sorta plays them for a living would be a little bit better if he can't do something on the first try he'll start ranting about how bad it is, then when he finally finds out how to do it he'll try to justify it with "how was i supposed to know?"
Have they fixed double XP? (I heard there was a problem with it). I am seriously considering getting the second starter pack, mainly for fast XP due to me having a week off, but also for the coins to get some customization going. EDIT: Also incase people missed this (I only just noticed it by chance) there will be a Loadout livestream from the dev's, answering questions, talking about new content plans and giving away in-game stuff. Source: http://steamcommunity.com/games/208090/announcements/detail/1315352659341691925 That's 9PM GMT btw.
AAAAND THAT WAS AN UPDATE FOR YESTERDAY, WELL DONE ME Did anyone watch? Anything important I missed?
AAAAND THAT WAS AN UPDATE FOR YESTERDAY, WELL DONE ME Did anyone watch? Anything important I missed?
Welp. I'd like a summery if you find it. I was all excited to watch it in the next minute. :v: Also the whole thing is here: http://www.twitch.tv/loadout/c/3712157
So, TotalBiscuit did a video on Loadout:
why do people watch totalbiscuit? he hates fucking everything, and, as shown in this video, if it takes a little bit of effort to learn he calls it shitty and p2w.
why do people watch totalbiscuit? he hates fucking everything, and, as shown in this video, if it takes a little bit of effort to learn he calls it shitty and p2w.
Did you even watch the video? He says it's fantastic and gives the developers a lot of credit for a well-deserved launch.
why do people watch totalbiscuit? he hates fucking everything, and, as shown in this video, if it takes a little bit of effort to learn he calls it shitty and p2w.
Well I can tell you, for one, don't watch him- he was playing really dumb throughout the video, but he literally said it is among the fairest f2ps he's ever seen, hopes it won't have a hard time for being so fair, that is really really fun and if you don't check it out at least once you are stupid. Point proven for you, I guess? [editline]13th February 2014[/editline] Also he touches the point that driven me away from the game back in closed beta- a match of 3 v 4 is an awful experience, and even a single player more in a team is like night and day.
take a rifle, slap an aluminum stock + gatling and now you have the weapon with the highest dps in the game
take a rifle, slap an aluminum stock + gatling and now you have the weapon with the highest dps in the game
Spooling increases that DPS by 50% (increases rate of fire from 20 to 30) , but lowers your responsiveness. Ofcourse if you didn't mean full auto trigger in first place, nevermind it. I still find FULL AUTO Trigger to be better than SPOOLING only due to being more responsive, people in higher tiers are actually dodging you and jumping over your head, you don't want to throw away 50 or 100 bullets into a dirt just because... reloading will kill you.
I don't get people who automatically pick the most boring generic thing in arena shooters filled with awesome crazy things.
Probably because of the high damage output. I see a lot of people who just slap full auto on the thing and iron sights and use it like an assault barrel or something.
Yeah it was a good run but I think I'm about done. Constantly being on the bad teams and only fighting against a handful of weapon combinations has eroded the magic that caused me to play several hours straight the first night it came out. Hopefully balance changes go out soon but from what I can tell development is absolutely glacial.
The handful of combinations thing was bound to happen. Any game with multiple combinations of weapons always ends up with only a few loadouts/weapons being used and experimentation is frowned upon.
The handful of combinations thing was bound to happen. I'm only level 10 so maybe I am still being matched with a lot of new players who are experimenting still but I don't see games where EVERYONE uses the same thing. I rarely see games where I notice multiple people with the same style weapon even.
Actually it's a lot like CoD. The first week is fun as everyone learns about the weapons and perks and equipment then everyone discovers that the AK74U is the best SMG and Stopping Power is the best perk. Replace AK74U with tesla/slug sniper and Stopping Power with Shields and it's basically Loadout. Honestly the matchmaking is the more annoying factor. I hate that I can play an hour of Loadout and literally not win a single game. I don't need to win all of them but if I'm just losing constantly and dying to the same weapons over and over I don't really see the point in playing. It's just dull.

I had a lucky match the other team was like, wiggling thumbs in their butts. I NORMALLY break even, but just, EVERYTHING went perfect in this match. Every thing went great, even the music :v:

I started playing tonight, and I'm definitely enjoying the game so far. Currently I'm rolling under the name of "MisterTeacup" with a tri-barrel rocket launcher, the Pitier of Fools, and I'm gunning towards making it shoot Fire. As for my secondary it was a bog-standard laser rifle, but over the course of my playtime I ended up not switching to it since you seem to have infinite reserve ammo. I'm thinking I'll turn my laser rifle into a healing beam for supporting allies when I'm not firing rockets. However one thing I've heard is that Tesla Beams are OP, though I haven't experienced Tesla Beams yet. Also, for some reason the devs forgot to implement a rocket jump mechanic, which seems like such a missed opportunity... Regardless it's a good deal of fun so far.
So many parts that needs an upgrade, so few Blutes.
To be fair, a lot of Loadout could probably use a tutorial, although the the actual shooting and weaponcrafting is pretty self-explanatory
When you join/start a gamemode there's a little pop up on the right side of the screen that tells you how to play the game mode.

it was fun at first, bu now everyone and their mother's are using beam weapon snipers with shields.
