Unfortunately in a game about choice, everyone's going to eventually deviate to whatever's working for others. They can't not-make the meta of the game some specific combo. Just as long as they keep any combo from being ridiculous (notice how it's real hard to make aimless, non-headshot one-hit kill weapons); I'm fine.
Everyone touts beam weapons; but I usually do pretty ace with just a single shot grenade launcher style rocket and an AoE gun for blitz/flag. I also made a big ol' remote control shield fucker rocket that does 80 something damage and I can basically constantly fire if I have a safe spot. :v:
Tried out the Annihilation today and I loved it. Reminds me of SMNC in a way.

I was talking about the full-auto one, but yeah I binded reload to ctrl so I can hold it when using the semi-auto.
This game's really got some pumpin' menu music. Kinda makes me want to hang back from a game for a few extra seconds to listen.
Reckon it shouldn't change when you swap menus though.

It's still annoying to play a pickup game of basketball and have one person on your team picking his nose by the sideline while the rest of your team plays. It doesn't have to be an NBA championship to feel like he is just wasting everyone elses time.

People who sign up to play Blitz then don't stand on the capture point the entire match do far more damage to the sense of community then the guy whining about them in chat.
I'm not too keen on Annihilation, but that might just be first impressions.

Yeah, I find I do better with the classic triple rocket launcher than beam snipers everyone seems to be complaining about, specially because beam snipers are really just for long range unless you're a really good shot, and many of the maps have tons of cover too.
Just hit level 29, you start to get 20k blutes per level then.
thats gonna help so much.
(i need 330k for making my two main guns tier 3)
and im only at 130k.
i can make a tf2 demoman loadout with the 4 clip launcher, lobbed and timed
and next a toob or the 4 clip launcher, lobbed and manual detonation

I tried to replicate the Redeemer from Unreal Tournament with an RC launcher with every possible damage upgrade, and I just spent an entire game of Jackhammer 1-2 shotting whoever dares touch our hammer. Its so cheesy, but so effective.

Precisely what I've just done, hehe. Combined with the x-ray gun to check you're safe to start airstriking there's almost no risk and a lot to gain.

Just got that. Afterwards I've lost the connection to the match and lost the points X.x
This game is stupid fun with friends.
I played with one friend yesterday and time just flew by. We are at such low levels (8 and 5 I think) that just the 2 of us actually doing objectives was enough to warrant victory and top player for one of us every match.
Our KD sucked though because in Blitz we just taunted (danced) on the points and spammed nades on the way to them.
And on Extraction if one of us was the collector the other healed 24/7 and kept dying because of it.
And we deeply enjoyed the homoerotic sounds of pleasure that healing caused. Especially when spamming the healing beam by rapidly clicking mouse1. :v:

Just played a full 15-minute Blitz round; two of my teammates had 4.96 and 7.8 seconds of cap time. I didn't think this was even possible

I want this so bad, but the cost of the taunts (golf clap and 80's dance) that I want bring it to 23k and you only get 20k with the middle starter pack. Woe is me.
EDIT: A guy I just played was on a team of 3 bad players, end of the game he was so mad, told everyone to uninstal and go play "my little poney online" because it's more suited to our skill level.
I like this game.

I did this recently, ended with 30 captures, 3 kills (from the start up) and 0 deaths. Fun was had.
I just played my first game of Death snatch where I broke even 9/9 and wasn't the bottom of the board, Feels good.
I think I broke the game.
I was playign a game of Extraction and I killed a guy as he put the final piece of bluetonium in the bucket and I think due to lag comp I had killed him but for him he had gotten to the end of the game and everything just died.
That's just a guess though, might have just been an unlucky disconnect on my part.
So I couldn't resist and bought Starter Pack...
