Watch ESJ_BeefyC's stream. He plays with a pulse tesla shotty at least once per stream and dominates with it, you might be able to pick things up from him.

is it possible to craft a one-shot to the body bolt-qction sniped? my friend has been one shotting me xonsistently with that same combo. He uses Rifle

The numbers lie. Fire has higher listed damage than slug because it counts the damage over time from them being on fire, but it doesn't actually do as much direct damage.

That is the damage over time, granted they don't roll or heal in the process.

pyro does 25% damage up front and 75% over time.
Pyro's really only useful on high single-shot weapons, and even then the current widespread use of shields makes it a generally bad idea.
