Holyshit. I played a few matches with Gump, a Loadout dev.
Guess what happened next? A super-blatant hacker came into the match, named KingOP. He was consistently landing shots with a beam, not missing a single one. He was also landing some shots blatantly through walls. I reported him immediately. He also said "nope bullshit no" or something like that when I called him out on it. Even the dev was suspicious of him :V

If loadout isn't a cover game, why do the sniper and headhunter barrels exist
Well, I got lucky and I got 2 nice item prizes:

I also got one of those nice Blitz matches:

Why I only accidentally double tap when I have to capture in those points where is a pit you can easily fall?
Does anyone else feel the whole leveling system is a bit against the idea of the game? It kinda forces you to stick to an existing build instead of trying out random parts slapped together.
If loadout isn't a cover game, why do the sniper and headhunter barrels exist
Because being able to snap onto terrain is totally the only way you can take cover.
Does anyone else feel the whole leveling system is a bit against the idea of the game? It kinda forces you to stick to an existing build instead of trying out random parts slapped together.
I'll admit it does seem like that, but it seems more like people just preferring what works for them. However, to develop a new system that encourages trying new things but still avoid sticking to one single build would be a tricky thing indeed.
Unless... Perhaps instead of levelling the parts of the gun, perhaps take a leaf out of Blizzard's book and implement some sort of set-bonus thing, like blutonium-augmented microchips. The way it'd work would be that you could craft a Blutochip out of Blutes, which randomly lays out a plan for a weapon with designated parts, and if you attach the Blutochip to a weapon with said parts it will give you some sort of special attribute or effect associated with a specific part, kind of like how Runewords work in Diablo 2, only applied to guns.
For example, you craft a Blutochip that requires a Pulse Chassis with a Tesla payload, Corkscrew dynamics and a 3-Round Burst trigger. Applying this chip to a weapon with Tesla, Pulse, Corkscrew and 3-Round Burst would grant it Bouncing dynamics in conjunction with the pre-existing Corkscrew dynamics. However, the generation algorithm would need tweaking to prevent set bonuses that conflict with certain parts, such as preventing the generation of a chip requiring a Launcher with a multi-barrel in the schematics from having a set bonus that gives it a multi-barrel, as that'd cause part conflicts.
Also, here's an idea for a new Payload; Fallout. It'd provide a similar "blocking support" role as the upcoming Cryo Payload, only instead of physical blocks of ice it would generate damaging team-coloured fields of radiation on impact, being more avoidable than Fire and Tesla Payloads but simultaneously difficult in a different way, as in you would need to stay out of the fallout-saturated area to avoid taking damage from it. It would make for effective area-denial, with Fallout Beams being handy for making radioactive death-lanes, and Fallout Launchers creating temporary "zones of exclusion", plus Fallout Pulse projectiles could have the radiation fields surrounding them whilst reducing projectile speed and firing speed for a "BFG" style effect.
ALSO also, concerning ToastedTea's thing about cover, we are getting the Deployable Shield as an item. Speaking of which, I dunno about you guys, but it kinda feels like the options in terms of Equipment are kinda limited, in that you can only take one item. I know it'd be rather strange for the balance, but hear me out when I say this. How cool would it be if we were able to bring three items with us onto the battlefield, namely 1 Grenade, 1 Personal item (Shield, Jump Boots, Disguise), and 1 Deployable? In the "starting leagues" it'd mean everyone has the Standard Grenade, Personal Shield and the Turret Buddy, but as you get higher up you'd probably see more interesting combinations of Equipment, like Healing Grenade, Jump Boots, Health Pickup for hardcore Medics, or Tesla Grenade, Disguise, Faux Equipment Pickup for a good "Sapperteur" kind of build. One of the reasons I'm saying this is because I usually only use the Shield even if I should be using an Active Item, and I never end up in a situation where I'm like "I need to resupply my items, where's that Equipment Pickup?", and another is just because I feel that your options are just a bit too limited with two guns and one piece of equipment. It makes things a bit too simple, and is further compounded by the fact you never run out of ammunition regardless of what kind of gun you have. Even Borderlands has two "Abilities" when you think about it (the Grenade and the Class Ability), so why should Loadout have to lump you with just two guns and one bit of equipment?
And one last thing that should be done is a Brock Samson set of items for Axl. That would be pretty awesome, even if he thinks "guns are fruity".

Clans on Loadout
Because when we get beat by two pubbers with one getting 48 and 3, the other just healing but still getting 14 and 3, the first thing we do is bitch like little girls, showing how professional and amazing our clan is.
Haha what the fuck
Are people really so ignorant that they don't even realize you can't buy weapon parts with real money?
If loadout isn't a cover game, why do the sniper and headhunter barrels exist
because sending rapid-fire swarms of bouncing fireballs in the general direction of where you're taking sniper fire from is usually more effective than trying to hide
this is because the type of people who try to snipe will usually shit their pants and run away when faced with that

Wait, what?
How did you manage to team kill them?
Semi auto / scatter / shell works surprisingly well

What does one have to do with the other?
I love how the game advocates that you'll be able to play how you want, make your own strategies, but no matter what you do people wiill argue you're not playing the game right. Use a launcher they'll argue, use a beam they'll argue, use a pulse they'll argue, use a rifle they'll argue, use grenades they'll argue, use shields they'll argue..

That happens in about every game ever, though
I found it really evident here on loadout tho.

Yep, it's called a shotgun and people will call you a noob, but they're just jelly. Also works well with tesla instead of slug.
honestly the only thing in loadout i really hate is shields because they seem to absorb a heap of damage
that and tesla beams because tesla for beams makes slug for beams redundant (when's the last time you saw a slug beam?)

I just get called "aimbotter" every now and them. Pretty much the only bitching about my weapons I've heard. :v:
