The game died for me when they took down the Australian servers so I can't even play with a decent ping.
What's funny is that during very early closed beta even the base rifle mauled you in one mag, and everything was 'balanced' because the game was more like instagib mode than anything :v:
Melee one-hit things and you never needed more than a single mag to kill anything, but good luck staying alive. It was madness, it was balanced, it was fun.
Like seriously I have some ides for fun weapons but I can't use them because I'm either gonna be midair headshotted by a guy who is also in midair and not scoping, or will die quicky from sniper beam [editline]26th May 2014[/editline] But I havent played in around 4 months though
maybe if they randomized wich parts could be used each week and/or asign each part a "weight" to force you to make decisions and make sacrifices other than DPS/DPH.
Patch "v4.0" is available, not much to say: http://www.loadout.com/update-4-0/
'New charachter parts!' Literally 5 parts
Steam summer sale 2014 items.
The trailers are very well made
In case you didn't know, most of the items (bar taunt and sunburned skin) are dirt cheap on the marketplace as of now. Just got me the Badass Duck Float and the Swimming Trunks, lol Once you get a copy of the item in your steam inventory, you have to "unpack" them, thus permanently binding them to your account

Only spent cents on those 3 items. I suggest buying them.

[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/jSkEHaK.jpg[/img_thumb] Just my average Loadout day.
Under which outfitter tab can I find the arm floaties?
I think the torso tab I gotta unpack my items which I forgot to do.
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/jSkEHaK.jpg[/img_thumb] Just my average Loadout day.
Lots of reported issues, I think EoR was also messing with the servers Apparently, I'm one of the 2% plagued by the end-of-match disconnect bug....

And in those 185 hours I barely saw the game growing, which is a real shame, this game had the "Free to play" tag right. I did every single achievement you can get, except... You will remain forever locked.
For those who still care about this game: https://www.loadout.com/forums/index.php?threads/dev-stream-8-13-notes-gimme-5.11680/ Hope, reaching null levels...
Diablo/borderlands type loot? That's... interesting.

Yeah, was looking for this thread to post in it I don't plan on quitting the game based on the news, but we'll see. Looking forwad to the beta and how the game will be like The main issue ATM is that with Level, your character's attributes will scale (such as HP). This will have an effect in PvP too.
Yep, so the matchmaking needs to be even better to prevent too much of an unfair advantage, since it's meant to be all about the guns.
Yep, so the matchmaking needs to be even better to prevent too much of an unfair advantage, since it's meant to be all about the guns.
Correction. It's all about Sniper OP combos. Devs do not want to nerf snipers much because it will ruin "META".
There's a big difference between a static boring meta and a fluid interesting meta, namely how often they update things, add new content, reshuffle old content, etc. For a long time, the meta of Loadout favoured the old Tesla Beam, but then they reduced the arcing on Tesla for Beams (if I recall correctly) to nip that weed in the bud. The main problem with games like these is the time between updates giving the meta time to settle, and when the meta settles you always have the grognards and blackguards who find the few best combos and make the game boring since all you face are Tesla Beams and Zoolocks and Scouts with Force-A-Nature. If you keep adding new things and constantly tweak the old things on a regular basis, like once a fortnight or at the start of the month, the meta is always changing and things are up in the air as people are consistently looking for the coolest loadout to suit their style, and when the new updates roll around after a few weeks, something new appears and interrupts the search for a new Tesla Zoolock of Nature as the flowcharts of the grognards get screwed up by the new change to the meta. It might be tricky development-wise, but it's important to keep a game from growing stagnant and overly focused on a few "elite" combinations. Also, considering they're planning to go the "RPG" route, they should probably implement something like "daily challenges" that challenge you to compete with a gun that includes a randomly-chosen combination of parts, like "gain X kills using a [Fire][Pulse] with a [Light Assault barrel]", which gives you increased XP and Blutes for completing it, thus encouraging players to use truly interesting combinations and have fun with them. Also also, would Loadout benefit from having Armour pickups, rather than scaling Health with levels?
The problem is that people wanted a build your own custom gun game and now we're getting a rpg reset in which people are leaving if you don't believe me go check out that forum post on load out forums or the steam discussions, this game was dead before and it's even deader into its grave (deader isn't a word but why the hell not).
This, right there 2% and 0.5% tweaks don't matter at all. We've had to wait at least TWO MONTHS for some meaty changes to weapon balance

Thread revive activated?
Finally a reason for me to play this game again maybe
Might look back into Loadout again. A full wipe/rebuild is very surprising for a game in such a late stage. I don't know if it's really a good idea or bad.

Now that there are RPG elements and a stat wipe, will the stuff I unlocked be refunded or something?
