Sorry, but BF2 is way too far in the opposite direction. When you got into the higher ranks it'd take for fucking ever to get a new unlock. I do agree with you that 15 hours is too short for the main progression though, should be closer to 50-80 hours that way everyone has a shot of getting it eventually IMO.

I mean I get that difficulty towards a goal adds meaning, but I don't quite get how grinding features into that equation.

Agree with you.
I like long grinding before you unlock something, that sounds weird, but I do like it, as it gives you a target... a reason to keep going.
However, seeing how certain people are playing Titanfall, I can guarantee you that some of them won't even reach generation #3, they are just plain AWFUL.
On the other hand, I see Generation 9-10 challenges as plain terror for my soul, as I despise both Smart Pistol and Cloaking kit.

I used FoxyProxy but it does this thing where it keeps Chrome running in the background for some reason well it did give a reason but I closed the pop up on instinct without reading it all.

I was just using BF2 as an example, the higher ranks were literally 1500+ hours of playtime in order to actually achieve them. I'm just saying, call of duty has introduced this ranking system where ranks are essentially useless. They are nothing more than a level in an MMO, you see someone who has a level 90 character in WoW and that's not impressive. It's typical. That's how i feel people who reach prestige 10+ in the call of duty games, it's just typical these days. There needs to be something you can associate with yourself now that ranks are pointless in shooters, like how a Gladiator title in WoW is. That's impressive.
In Killzone 2 multiplayer, if you were in the top i want to say 1% or 0.5% for that specific week in terms of score and KD etc., you had a special little symbol beside your rank or it was a different colour (i can't recall exactly) that would show off your skill. It would be nice if they implemented something similar into Titanfall

If it were up to me, everyone would get all the gear right off the start and there would be no exp, levels or adding counters. Seems to me about as useless as hitting +1 on a calculator and rapidly tapping = key. RAPID EXP GAINZ OMG

the fun in playing the game itself should be enough incentive really, unfortunately levels and unlocking gear is now seen as a must have for all fps games nowadays.
Progression and a feeling of achievement. In all fairness if people have prestiged once already, the xp curve isn't going to be that steep, and if you don't want to progress further then you don't have to, it's only there as a symbol for people to show their dedication.
I'm kind of glad progression happens fast. When it comes to FPS, I'm a big fan of immediate gratification and receiving a level-up alert and new gear every other game rather than every other day is a lot more fun for me, considering the fact I don't often play FPS games.
Can someone with the english version of the game help me change the game's language? I need the GDFBinary file located in the game's folder.
I've noticed that different language files are already present in the vpk folder, so that single file and some registry editing might be the only things that are required to change the lang. and I can't find it anywhere else.
