Earlier this morning (5-6 hours ago) I've hit Generation 3.
People started saying that I suck and I should kill myself for not having a life.
:(

They probably didn't know about the exe crack to break release date. So what else would they think when they saw someone who already reached max rank 2 or more times on the morning of launch?
o shit, the arc cannon is the ultimate minion killer
Seems pretty underpowered for everything else, judging from gameplay videos.
So I get stuck at the loading screen after hitting play. I had no problem playing with a VPN yesterday.
Well after putting about 6 hours into the final game, I really only have a few personal criticisms:
1) The game runs much too poorly relative to how it looks and behaves.
2) The campaign is lackluster.
3) Rank progression is a little faster than I'd prefer.
4) There's no map voting.
5) You can't rename custom loadouts.
All in all, minor things. The game is still a damn good time.
Anyone having some stuttering issues?
Faster progression means you get your gear sooner, no?
That's a good thing in my book.
Anyone having some stuttering issues?
In game runs really well considering how shitty my computer is, but the menu has a ton of stuttering which makes it a massive fight just to equip 3 burn cards in the 90 second intermissions, nevermind changing your loadouts

It's not good if you've unlocked everything there is to get after a few days

Yeah, what a shame.
You should get all your stuff right off the start, I don't see why you'd want to wait for it.

I get 60fps easy on max settings with 16xQ CSAA, but every now and then it stutters. I've played with all the video settings and nothing seems to fix it.

A sense of progression keeps you playing. It's a tricky balance though, because if it unlocks too fast then you don't really feel like you've accomplished much, in my opinion.
For some people, having everything locked behind progression bars is a major turnoff. I found it seriously annoying how in recent Battlefield games you have to unlock the defib, or the normal health pack.
However, some people prefer having something to earn their way towards. Different strokes for different folks.
It also depends on the type of game. For example, in fighting games I really like having to unlock characters, however, taking Battlefield 4 for an example, it takes a bit of time before you can unlock the anti-air lock on rocket launcher, which means as an engineer you're pretty much shafted if a helicopter/jet is dominating your team. In my opinion it's a crucial piece of kit as it's one of the few defenses against ground-to-air combat.
everyone's playing the damn game and i'm just sitting here waiting for friday
I get to play it tomorrow, after work though.
I got a feeling that work hours will just creep forward...

I feel limited if I don't have access to full arsenal. It's not a good feeling.
They take my toys away from me so I can "have fun" suffering this leveling nonsense. I feel accomplished if I get better at the game, not when I reach an imaginary meaningless level.

There's a line. I'm into progression for weapons, but when you're locking the fucking defib away from new players... That's crossed it.
No, really, how do I pick sides in the campaign?
I just want to finish it :s

You gotta do both anyways
You gotta do both anyways
He wants to know how...
Forgot to say this, but when [sp]our entire team got to the campaign mission where the flying creatures can pick minions up, and that it happened right as we got out of the dropship, our team collectively said over mic "NOPE, FUCK THIS"[/sp] :v:

Respawn said they are working on making/trying to make the Xbone version have a higher resolution in an upcoming patch. I'm hoping that also mean there will be more optimizations for PC too.
Also has anyone noticed that at least in campaign, when it connects, the top right corner says connecting to xbox live? I know the whole thing about controller vs. keyboard/mouse, but it would be kinda cool for cross play, after I'm sure there's some PC gamer out there playing this with a controller.
I'm playing the game on the very highest settings and it runs perfectly fine for me, no stutter or anything. Unless you playing on a toaster then I don't understand, update drivers maybe?
So I assume the campaign has to be completed in one go? Because my game crashed and when I got back in and went to campaign it found a lobby but the lobby was on the first mission in the campaign? Fucking stupid if you ask me.

There's no cross play because of the Xbox 360 version.

I have a GT 630M I get light stuttering on med-high. I don't expect that much on it, so I can't complain, still I think there could be a little more optimizing.
And has anyone been able to get Steam overlay working on this?

Shame.
There's no cross play because of the Xbox 360 version.
That doesn't really make any sense why that would stop everyone else from cross play

Phenom II 3.4ghz quad-core, 12GB DDR3 RAM, GeForce GTX 460. Everything on medium-high, no AA, and I'm lucky if I maintain a smooth framerate. A couple of levels knock me down to sub-20fps.
I mean, I know that graphics card is starting to get dated, but still. I get generally better performance in Battlefield 4 on High.
My teammates are always so bad at attrition that the campaign is a pain
That doesn't really make any sense why that would stop everyone else from cross play
Because microsoft.
I won every game I played as the IMC, but everyone was low leveled. When I got to militia, we ended up going against higher leveled players. Often enough I was the mvp of our team, but it was dragged down by underperforming low leveled players versus a team of 10's and 20 level players. I lost a few games, but we still won in the story anyway so I didn't really care.
The best game I think I ever had was playing as Militia on the Demeter siege map. I got 30 player kills by stalking the B hardpoint in the center. With all those catwalks and open spaces I was basically running a marathon with my Shotgun.
Apparently Origin and Xbox Live aren't compatible either.

In fairness, even borderline incompetent PC players would kick the living shit out of the Xbox One players by sheer virtue of mouse aim. I think they tried a long time ago with Shadowrun on 360 and PC and it was so hilariously one-sided that they gave up on the idea.
