How big is the download?
Played for an hour or two - so far the game seems pretty fun, the fast pace keeps up constantly which is good. The smart pistol is the absolute dumbest thing i've ever seen in any FPS game, it should probably just be removed. Since basically every match just turns into one team stacked in titans stomping the other team while they either get into a Titan and instantly are shot down by 6 Titans on our team or are just stuck as a pilot running around getting one shot by the Titans with pretty much no chance, the maps don't really have any focal points or choke points as it's just Titans chasing around pilots on really unbalanced teams.
As for the gunplay, it's what you would expect really. 0 recoil on any of the guns so as long as you can maintain consistent aim you can just hold down the trigger from any range and kill people. The game seems more of a novelty that, although fairly fun at the moment, to me personally won't last very long, but again i've only played for about 2 hours. After those 2 hours, every match ended the exact same way (and this was with leaving and rejoining with different players every time) I'll put some more time into it tomorrow however
it's a reskinned cod and if you disagree then keep on trucking with that blindfold on.

Unfortunately I had the same experiences although to a lesser extent. Half the time both sides would get an even amount of titans and it just became a big mish mash but for the most part it was always a steam roll by my team. Also the amount of people who don't utilize the vertical elements of the map is stupid, most of the games you can get yourself into a nice position on a building and just stomp everyone and they never get the wiser.

All this angry insistence everywhere that people are wrong about Titanfall and that the whole vertical gameplay aspect/Titan gameplay is nothing new and won't change the gameplay at all since "it's all just a reskinned cod" is funny to me
Sure the gunplay and unlock system resembles call of duty's systems but the gameplay itself has so many new different concepts and systems running at once
Also what game doesn't have that kind of unlock system nowadays
From what I saw on Twitch last night the vast majority of games from the perspective of several streamers were drastically unbalanced, with games of Attrition being over at 250 to 120 or less being the norm.
So, to anyone who's played the game so far, how does it run?
My computer's kind of aging and I want to know if I should wait till I get new parts before I buy this. Got 1GB of video ram, 8 gb of regular ram, and a 3.4 ghz processor. No SSD.
Hopefully they do some balancing then.

Roughly the same specs as me and it runs pretty well. No definite FPS I can give but it was overall smooth.

Out of the 2 hours of matches i played, my team won every single one of them and the closest match was i think 150 - 250.
I'm not sure if the issue is with the match making and unbalanced teams, or the issue is actually with the way the titan countdowns work and such. I found myself getting my Titan 30+ seconds before anyone on their team, due to me either getting a few pilot kills or killing a bunch of grunts. I could then continue to stomp them while i'm in my Titan. Eventually they could call in their Titans, but since they fly out of the sky i can see exactly where they land, pop my damage booster and hit them with everything at once and blow their Titan up in about 3 seconds. Then they've got another ~3 minutes to wait for a Titan while i can run around farming them for kills.
I have yet to play any of the other game modes, so maybe it's different. Attrition though really has a clear winning team within the first minute or two of the match, and there's almost nothing an individual player on the other team is going to be able to do to turn the match around

What graphics card are you using? 1GB of video ram hardly says much about the GPU itself since it could be an extremely low end model that lacks the minimum requirements to run this game.
What processor are you using? Knowing the clock speed itself isn't good enough without knowing the model name of it.
What are your other computer components?
Really the best way to describe how i felt while playing was to compare it to BF4.
In BF4 you have people who sit in tanks the entire match and infantry have a hard time taking them down, so the tank drivers end up going 30-2 in a match because the infantry are scrambling to not get shot by the tank and find a way to kill it. Everyone hates vehicle whores in battlefield.
In Titanfall, when i would get my titan so much earlier than anyone else i would feel like a huge vehicle whore in BF4. The infantry really can't do much of anything and i can run around one shotting them like it's nothing while they're scrambling to find ways to kill me. It maybe even feels a little worse in Titanfall since if i get a titan early, i can pretty much hold their team back by killing their pilots with such ease that the rest of my team can get titans, and continue to stomp them. By the time the enemy team eventually gets their titans we already have all of ours up and can 6v1 or 6v2 their titans and they never have a chance
