I legitimately hate campaign mode. 1: If you get stuck with a bad team, you will lose literally every game. 2: I could not give a shit about the lackluster and bland story 3: It forces you to play it in order to unlock shit, thats wrong.
1. Play it with friends. 2. I agree, but you have to admit some of the cut scenes, and world events in campaign we're pretty kick ass. 3. Oh no! They are forcing you to play something that takes an hour to complete and is the exact same thing as classic mode!
dangit, all you EU guys getting your keys why does the UK always have their games delayed, even australia's got an earlier release date this time

Ahh I see, didn't realize EU and UK were listed as separate regions.
Would it be possible for us EU guys to play it before the release date?
Would it be possible for us EU guys to play it before the release date?
Yes, http://www.pcgamer.com/2014/03/11/titanfall-early-unlock-heres-how-to-bypass-the-regional-launch-restrictions/ You might have an easier time connecting to a US VPN instead of Korea though.
[QUOTE=Gen. Thats what I did, don't see the point of waiting when its out elsewhere in the world
Moreover, they could've done so much more with the campaign mode, instead it's just cutscene + normal gamemodes. Very dissapointed with that section of an otherwise great game.
Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike: Source, Counter-Strike, DOD servers are ran by players using the dedicated server tool. Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 have some official Valve server but mostly dedicated server ran by the community. Dota 2 servers were horrible with frequent problems that made the game almost unplayable. At the end of the day Valve doesn't have near as much experience with large launches as many other companies do, and they would have fucked up Titanfall so badly. Look at Dota 2, relatively small game compared to the competition but is still played by many server side issues.
Yeah, Valve making an MMO game any time soon would be a bad idea. Glad they have a hardware focus instead. As for DOTA 2, I am hesitant to play that game because of the player base. Do I really want to get shit for making moves in a game that I am still learning the ropes of? No thanks.
Moreover, they could've done so much more with the campaign mode, instead it's just cutscene + normal gamemodes. I guess they can save that kind of stuff for an almost certain sequel, eh?
Decided to buy the game even after not being that impressed with the beta, but I'm glad I did. I'm really liking the new maps a lot more than the beta ones, and really, after I got everything to work (fucking shitty v-sync damn you), it's a fuckload of fun. Should keep me occupied till PC DS2 comes
The campaign mode is unbelievably awful. Even considering that it's just multiplayer mode with a plot stapled on, it's just not the same as playing the regular multiplayer matches. Instead of being fun and intense and unpredictable like regular MP is, it's more like trudging through a chest high pool of shit, ESPECIALLY if you get stuck with a bad team when the other team is all people that have already Generation'd up multiple times, and you know that no matter how good your individual skill is, you're going to lose because the rest of your team is weaker players. So fucking frustrating that it's the only way to unlock the Titans. I really hope they do a full campaign mode for the inevitable sequel. Anything would be better than what it's like now
The campaign's not that bad. It's not great, but it didn't personally offend me or call my mom a whore or anything. I guess I didn't really care/have any expectations for that part of it anyways. The rest of the game's fantastic.
Why is the ADS sensitivity smaller than the hipfire sensitivity, this is so fucking annoying. I can't track targets properly with this sensitivity but if I make it higher looking around is twitchy as fuck.

The SMGs hipfire isn't so bad, I'm getting very used to parkouring around and killing people. I believe I have completely dumped the old fashion strafe left and right crouch crap. I can get around the maps so fast and easily now, I've been accused of teliporting now

I see what they tried to do with the story it naturally doesn't work well when no one can pay attention to it. Maybe they'll do one for the inevitable sequel now that they know they have a good formula. [editline]12th March 2014[/editline] Also Battle of Demetor milita side for best opening scene.

Pre-loading, hnngh I wanna play now.
I definitely think a better campaign is a must if they do make a sequel (which is very likely), but for the first game? I'm just glad they focused making a strong MP.
So there's really no reason to use non-automatic weapons as a pilot. I love the jump pack and whatnot but when you shoot someone they just start sperging out and bouncing all over the place.
preloaded and all set. waiting for midnight, wooo!
preloaded and all set. waiting for midnight, wooo!
Yes, http://www.pcgamer.com/2014/03/11/ti...-restrictions/ Or you could play now if you wish.

I'd like it in the future if they continued to create an immersive, cinematic experience for otherwise very boring sequences in multiplayer. They got the 'end match' down by making it another part of the game, and the spawning in is also interesting. Next, I'd like to see them make lobbies more than just a menu and concept art background. Have players sitting around in a dropship in space before showing the jump to the planet/level. It would be difficult to pull off but if they could make the lobby sequence playable for 'readied' players, they could have players board the dropship of their choice (since there is always two for 6 person games) as the countdown reaches the end. Another big thing is respawns and late join-ins. This would make less sense for respawning since the entire point is to get back into the fight asap, but for new join-in players, they could ride in on one of the grunt dropships and rappel down like them. Alternatively, hit the ground in a drop-pod and storm out. It wouldn't necessarily give them a superior spawn since those can land anywhere, and chances are the game has already gotten underway. As for respawns, they could be shown spawning next to a group of grunts in the back as they make their way onto the battlefield or something along those lines instead of just putting the player in the middle of nowhere. You would obviously have to balance that with the respawn locations and the speed in which you can reach portions of the map, but all the more it helps.

I haven't had this much fun in an MP game in a long long time. Last Titan Standing is definitely the best game mode. And it's so intense and it makes for some amazing moments. Like when you and another titan are the only ones left, you're both doomed, and it becomes a battle to see who can make the other eject first.
Third round and I'm called a hacker. Personal record.
