Am i the only one who feels like the carbine doesnt play the same as the beta? Seems rather weaker, i was dropping pilots quicker in the beta than the full release it feels. Same with the secondary machine pistol.

I can't do shit with the carbine. Shotgun's where it's at!

Ah yeah that's cool, but my brother is still preloading as we speak. Will be done tonight tho.

We're using the same connection
I'm yet to play the full game but from the gameplays and reviews it seems the campaign is worse than in-game story elements of Team Fortress 2.
Some maps in TF2 are very story-driven. The lore is explored in the comics, and have some maps where the major events happen.
These are usually, but not only, Halloween maps. Halloween maps are the best example though, so I'll use one to illustrate - Helltower. There was a comic explaining how the two brothers in charge of RED and BLU died at once and now they employ their mercs from beyond the grave to push the other brother's corpse into deepest pits of hell (which have meanwhile formed around Hightower), winning the war for good.
Now, Respawn should start taking notes. The Helltower is basically the same map as good old Hightower - except story-driven. It's halloween-themed, dark, there are skeletons and spell books and stuff (straight out of hell, presumably), custom voicelines for just about everything (okay, Titanfall got this one right I guess) and when one of the carts reaches the end, the entire map sinks down into hell, ruining all the buildings in the process and filling the whole place with lava, as the two teams race to reach a magical book and get the hell (pun intended) out, leaving the losing team's souls down there. Compared with usual Hightower where the carts simply blow up the enemy team's satellite dish, there is a lot more to it.
To sum it up, what Titanfall campaign needs:
-more stuff blowing up - imagine Fraction actually breaking in half instead of the stuff in the background, uncovering an underground objective that the teams suddenly have to race for, stuff like that
-more emphasis on what the players accomplish - at this point it feels like they are just there to fight for no reason while the NPCs do their stuff, at the very least we should be able to assist them
-different outcomes depending on which team does better - IMC losing every time is ridiculous[sp], especially since they are the better faction[/sp] (even in TF2, where canonically BLU team vanishes in hell, they can win)
-strange gameplay conditions that aren't present in the usual game - from environmental hazards, to lower gravity in case someone messes up artificial gravity generator while trying to disable a humongous railgun, for instance
Campaign should be wilder and more different from the usual game. Most people are going to play it only once or twice, so trading a bit of balance for a ton of awesome wouldn't hurt.
I am loving the run 'n gun kit, just doing some sprinten with stim enabled and killing everyone
Anyone else finding themselves tilting their head when jumping from wall to wall?
I'm afraid to switch my tactical ability to anything but cloak. I know that it can still be easy to see players when it is activated, but it is still very useful at medium-long distance.

i used stim back in the beta, i hoenstly found it far more useful than the cloak thanks to the increased running speed
very useful on hardpoint
Also noticeably increased HP regen for it's duration
Just got into a match with a gen 8 pilot.
The ranking system is FAR too quick. I personally have put in about ~6 hours of play time and am already level 44, i'll be at gen 2 within 10 hours (probably sooner than that) and the XP boosts only make the next gens go quicker. Very disappointing
The WH thing is op just use that.
Which VPN would be best to use in Scandinavia right now?
I'm having terrible performance.
My PC should be able to do medium-high, but even on low I have 45FPS tops in some maps.
Core i5 4670
Radeon HD 5870
16GB RAM
Strangely enough the FPS didn't increase at all when I lowered the graphics settings. I always assumed that, that means that it's CPU bound, but that's obviously not possible with my CPU.
Left my PC to preload all night, occasionally woke up and checked on it, multiple blue-screens later (dat amd) it finally finished downloading, start unpacking files.
Game data corrupt - need to redownload 10gb

That happened when I re-installed Battlefield 4 on my PC last month. Either I'm missing something, or Origin should have a built-in backup utility like Steam does.
The campaign's not that bad. It's not great, but it didn't personally offend me or call my mom a whore or anything. I guess I didn't really care/have any expectations for that part of it anyways. The rest of the game's fantastic.
Personally I'm hoping for a single player story in the next game or in a DLC.

Try disabling things like v-sync and anti-aliasing. You might want to give the latest beta drivers (14.2, I think) for your Radeon HD video card a try, as well.
Which VPN would be best to use in Scandinavia right now?
Whatever works, you're gonna disconnect the VPN when you get to the main menu anyway. I had the VPN on for like a minute and now I can play all fine.

I downloaded this and connected to some random US server.
So, it's canon that the IMC always loses? Then what the fuck is the point? "Good job pilot, we crushed the militia 400-10. OH NO WHAT IS THAT WE HAVE LOST DEMETER AAAAA"
i'm not being able to find any teammates in CTF.. odd
What's the point of having two campaigns if they don't even lead to different outcomes
What's the general consensus on the worth of the game though?
Is it worth 60 USD?
I heard it was 59.99 Euros which is equivalent to 100 USD, that I find ridiculous.
The beta was extremely fun for me, played it every day until the extension shut down, but I can't see this game bringing me fresh experiences in a month of playtime or so.

yeah, you have to be really careful when buying stuff online. i feel bad for everyone else because typically when a publisher like EA comes out with a game on their platform they just make it 59.99 all around because who cares about translating currency
apparently you can kill an enemy titan by having your titan drop on it :eng101:

There was another way to kill enemy titans? :v:

and this is why I'm buying the physical copy. I can't wait that long with my shitty internet haha
The Shotgun feels weaker than in the beta.
The Shotgun feels weaker than in the beta.
Everything except the DMR feels weaker than in the beta
Damn, there's the first shoot a guy, see blood spurt from his face yet be the one that gets killed. Guess Microsoft's dedi servers can't fix everything. Pretty annoying tbh.
[editline]13th March 2014[/editline]
also i guess halo has spoiled me in this regard, but i wish there were more game modes. they could come up with all kinds of crazy stuff but nooooo

I constantly run in to situations where I'll kick someone, then they kick a moment later, and I die.
[editline]12th March 2014[/editline]
Ohh, cool. I lost like two or three hours of progress from last night.
[editline]12th March 2014[/editline]
So I get to redo the last level of the campaign again. And the five kills I had to struggle to get with the terrible Plasma Cannon.
