I feel so fucking terrible whenever a grunt screams out "I'm the only one left!"
I feel sorry for them in general :(
Nothing feels as good as to smack the enemy Titan with its own arm.
This game is nuts.
It has COD speed, BattleField size, Halo Reach design sense, Mirror's Edge platforming, AND GIANT ROBOTS. Everything good to come out of the AAA scene in the last 5 years, all in one game.
I love it.
Now if it just had planetside's massive permanent environments. A 20 titan rush would look glorious.

There's always room for sequels. This is EA after all!
i mindlessly kill grunts and shit with the smart pistol but, against a pilot i just can't seem to kill them that often. idk what you guys are honestly mad about
Enhanced targetting for the Smart Pistol makes it lock on faster, but with a reduced lock on target finder. Its actually not as easy as it seems against a decent pilot because they move so much that the lock gets broken easily by them leaving the target finder or rounding a corner.
I'm never going to finish this campaign with people quitting, causing me to go back 3-4 missions when it starts searching for opponents/teammates and getting kicked from the server for no reason.
Maybe I'm just playing against mooks but Smart Pistol + Enhanced Targeting = 5.0 K/D average against pilots over the last 10 games. Plus all the kills gives me about a dozen Amped Smart Pistol cards, so it gets even more ridiculous.
If you can hit a moving target with an SMG, you can keep the much larger reticule over the enemy long enough to lock them, ~2 seconds with Enhanced Targeting.

Since I'm currently well on my way to my first Regeneration (Level 34 after 2 days of play :v:), I think it would be pretty cool if there were some cosmetic effects on regenerated pilots besides the icon next to your name. Maybe battle-scarred armor/battle paint or something like that.
So, the game's good or not? I've never played any of the CoD games, so please don't compare the two for me
It's quite fun, personally I think the Titan combat is a letdown but you can easily just spend 100 percent of your time zipping around as a pilot snapping necks and throwing satchels.

It's not even much like CoD. Or any other game.
It's Titanfall. It doesn't punish you for being new at FPS games, yet it still rewards skilled players. There are so many ways to play it. Quite balanced as well.
And it's pretty cool overall. Mechas, parkour, shotguns with insane recoil, you always carry a bazooka for the mechas. Stuff blowing up non-stop.
I'm slaughtering other Mechs with my new Titan loadout.
Stryder
Chaingun w/ Bullet Accelerator (I love it)
Anti-Pilot smoke
Cluster Missile
Nuclear Reactor
Auto-eject
My initial strategy was to use a light mech to get in close to an enemy mech, drop smoke, and blow up. The auto-eject makes sure I get out of there before they melee me to death, and before I blow up.
As it turns out, I'm surviving much more than I am dying. The cluster missile is amazing for grunts, pilots up on rooftops, or mech shields. Then I boost in, drop my smoke, then back off and use the chain gun. The accelerator gives me more bullets and gives me more damage in less time. I've ripped through Ogres with it.
Not to mention that three (and possibly unlimited) strides are awesome.
Bravo to Respawn and/or the new Nvidia drivers. I run the game better than the beta, all on medium but with high models, ragdolls and explosions, despite my 4 year old once-medium-end system.
Models look pretty, phisics look pretty, skyboxes improved incredibly since beta and textures are not so grainy they look like they belong in Quake any longer.
Bravo. Great optimization. Happy about my purchase.

EA partially redeemed
Man, if I were an IMC pilot I would be pretty pissed at Graves. First he proves to be rather incompetent by failing to stop the Militia even though we crushed the terrorists in every battle. Then, after he watches MacAllan kills dozens of his men by blowing himself up on Demeter, he decides to join the other side and kill even more of his own men.
I want a IMC victory cutscene at the end of the campaign where every pilot on your team gets to be part of the firing squad that executes that backstabbing fucker.
K, whatever, just purchased the digital deluxe edition after watching Sessler's review
The game keeps crashing for me every time I alt tab
Never had this problem in the beta :/

try running it in screen-sized windowed mode.

What the fuck, just saw this video

i have never played on this map before and i'm already a level 40, playing for about 3 days.
wish we could pick what map we could play in matchmaking...
That's the thing about Titanfall, the gameplay is super awesome and radical and cool, but when you get out of a match you realize it's kind of lacking... a bunch of things
I wish I had less ping on nothern european servers. I have to go on western european ones, where the average joe is vladimir 'cyka' vadimirovic and everyone writes in slav languages

Pls EA gib P.I.G.S. server
I unlocked the increased punch damage for Titan. Knocks other titans back so far that I punched one off a cliff.
I am a proud pilot to say that I have never died to a single minion. Sure, a titan once punched me off a cliff, but it was not on auto pilot.
So what is the point of going up in Generations other than to get a little card next to your name?
So what is the point of going up in Generations other than to get a little card next to your name?
Not much, honestly. It's like CoD's prestige.
Anyone know of the cheapest place to buy this atm?
What does Leadwall do exactly? The description says it makes it shoot over a wider area, but the stats say it increases accuracy.
Can anyone answer this though? I've looked and haven't found a reliable answer :v:
You get to fill up more XP bars. Which is fairly addictive tbh.
Not much, honestly. It's like CoD's prestige.
So its a thing I have no interest in then, good to know.
