After spending a few days playing my feelings are mixed. The game really reminds me of ut2004 which is a good thing. The balance of action with the titans is broken if u ask me, I think getting a titan drop should be a real award. You should be getting a drop once a match IF You're LUCKY! 2 minutes into a round there's like 5 titans spamming everywhere. Seeing two opposing titans duke it out should be a spectacle. I'm getting 3 titans per round and half the time ill just auto-deploy and stay on foot. Just my 2 cents
i kind of agree. it's really hard to enjoy the game when there's titans everywhere
granted, obviously that's the name of the game and so obviously titans should play a critical role in it, but it's kind of lame that you can get them so quickly. six titans on each team spawned in within the first two-three minutes of the game is just ridiculous. especially if you want to play as infantry. you have to constantly tiptoe around them because your anti-titan weapons hardly do any damage to them. the only guns worth using against them are the rocket launcher and railgun imo
i mean i'm not really complaining but killing a titan doesn't even reward you that much. if you go wipe out a fireteam of grunts or even spectres it grants you almost if not the same amount of points as if you were wiping out a titan. on top of that if you use the burn cards to get more experience for killing grunts or spectres you're really in business

Got my titan in the first encounter with enemies in one game, apparently all six moving together on foot isn't a good strategy against a carbine. Needless to say we stomped them pretty badly.
So uh... This is awkward. Some guy with a thick (THICK) Scottish accent is streaming himself playing Titanfall on his Xbone... On PS4 with his PS4 camera pointed at the screen with the channel description "Come watch haters" with all his commentary being a rant on moneyhatted 3rd party exclusives with some wierd hipster-sounding music in the background.
Oh well, just going to wait for the sequel or EA's investors (Trying to dig up that one post by FamousMort about EA investors finding out that they would have made significantly more profits being multiplat) trying to find a way to weasel out of the console versions Xbox exclusivity. Not to seem like an Xbox hater saying this (I'm not, but I'm still pissed about Halo 4), but I've a feeling EA and MS' relationship is going to be a tad bit strained this gen if the investors are not pleased with Titanfall's sales performance on Xbone.
...What?

Here's a 20 second flagcap route on Training Ground for those who play CTF:

My favorite part was when he starts munching on something.
left clicking detonates it if you have the trigger in your hand but you can drop satchels and then equip your guns too. as far as i know you can't bring the trigger back up unless you drop another satchel
double tapping E detonates it btw. if you press F again you just toss another satchel
You just press F if you have no satchels left to bring up the trigger again.
...What?
If you're asking about this first part of my post... Well, you'd have to see the stream to understand what I meant properly.
If you're asking about the other part, perhaps I'm reading GAF too much, but FamousMort has been going around saying that EA's investors feel like they got screwed over after their and Sony's mathematicians calculated that PS4 sales would give EA far more profit than MS' moneyhat gave them.
Not trying to stir anything up here or be negative, don't take me that way.
Is there anything that can be done against the smart pistol besides turning around constantly
I'm so so torn on this game. On one hand, I'm hella bored and want something fresh, but on the other hand I can't help but feel like I'm being a tiny bit scammed, due to how many Call of Duty games I own. I don't mind the lack of content, because according to a few reviewers, the simplicity of content is what lends the game such good balance.
How is the long term playability looking on this game? Will it get patches? It's just so difficult to justify $60 for a game anymore.

Cloaking.

There's a season pass, I feel there's plenty of maps and gamemodes to keep you going for a while imo.
I do feel like there's very little in terms of content available.
It's still an amazing game nonetheless.

"Don't let the enemy escape!"
I WON'T.

All I want so far is a mode without AI. I don't really mind their presence, but they make it harder to find actual enemy players.

This happened to me.

That just reminds me of Tribes so much
Just played a game of CTF on Smuggler's Cove.
Hoooly shit I love this game. Run-n-Gun kit is bomb as fuck.
After playing this game for so long, I am sort of unable to play any other shooter. I'm too used to parkouring around :(

I actually want an actual botmatch, where you can choose the gamemode and difficulty of the bots.
This would also let the newbies work on their parkour better without the pain of facing the people who had beaten the game already.
Isn't that like cheating anyway? Don't know why Respawn let that happen.

I feel like they missed an opportunity with the training mode with not having some sort of bot mode.

Bots never play anything like actual players. ELO matchmaking would be better.

Quake 3 bots were fairly player-like. But the gameplay in that was a lot simpler.

In my experience DOM in these types of games is usually the best way to learn different paths in a map.
Also considering my ping this one was one of my better games:

Counterweight C.A.R + Run and Gun = Wreck forever
7 returns in a round. Enemies never even got close to a capture.
C.A.R is boss, i love the R97 but the C.A.R is so much better.
Oh you gonna park your titan next to the flag pole? Fuck you here's three satchel charges!
Spitfire LMG is really fun and just the right thing for me. I love to splay and pray, short bursts ain't my thing. Great fire rate, gets accurate after half a second and thanks it it's magazine it won't leave you with your pants down reloading mid-fights.
Replaced the CAR smg as my new main.
