i kind of agree. it's really hard to enjoy the game when there's titans everywhere granted, obviously that's the name of the game and so obviously titans should play a critical role in it, but it's kind of lame that you can get them so quickly. six titans on each team spawned in within the first two-three minutes of the game is just ridiculous. especially if you want to play as infantry. you have to constantly tiptoe around them because your anti-titan weapons hardly do any damage to them. the only guns worth using against them are the rocket launcher and railgun imo i mean i'm not really complaining but killing a titan doesn't even reward you that much. if you go wipe out a fireteam of grunts or even spectres it grants you almost if not the same amount of points as if you were wiping out a titan. on top of that if you use the burn cards to get more experience for killing grunts or spectres you're really in business
I don't see the deal with avoiding titans, you can zoom around the map lightning fast and break the line of sight with any titan within moments. Maps are well-designed for this and the incredible movement system helps even more. I don't really die to titans that often on foot. Only the rare chaingun race poses a real threat. I think they did a good job balancing titans vs pilots, hell, just yesterday I fought an ogre on foot out in the open and won, all you have to do is stim yourself and doublejump like crazy with mag launcher, ordnance and rodeo. As long as you keep them guessing where to shoot, you should be fine. Even if the streets are full of titans, you can rodeo a friendly one and it will share it's shield with you. You can then help it out with your anti-titan weapon/ordnance. Similarly, the best time to rodeo an enemy one is when it's engaging with a friendly titan, in that case he won't try to get out and kill you. Electric smoke can also be avoided. So no, you are definitely hopeless against titans, even if there are more of them.
God I hate the smart pistol. It's not overpowered. But suddenly getting insta killed out of nowhere is kind of annoying.
Was using the G2A4 for a while but switched to the C.A.R. recently. Never going back.
Spitfire LMG is really fun and just the right thing for me. I love to splay and pray, short bursts ain't my thing. Great fire rate, gets accurate after half a second and thanks it it's magazine it won't leave you with your pants down reloading mid-fights. Replaced the CAR smg as my new main.
I love putting the slammer on the LMG so if I ever do manage to rodeo a titan, it's dead. You can kill a full health Stryder in seconds, and a full health Ogre in a few seconds.
Silenced shotty's where it's at.
Was using the G2A4 for a while but switched to the C.A.R. recently. Never going back.
I like the G2 but it feels like most of the time you get outgunned by the more rapid-firing weapons.
Sniper rifles are practically useless because the carbine and burst rifle have no recoil
Sniper rifles are practically useless because the carbine and burst rifle have no recoil
With a bit of practice, the snipers are actually pretty good. Played a couple of rounds last night switching between the DMR and Krabar-AP. I was able to dominate several people throughout the rounds.
Cloaking.
I'm afraid cloaking doesn't work. I've been targeted several times even while cloaked.
Once you pick up the nuances of how Cloaking functions, even in a Titan, it can be viable to see a Cloaked pilot. During a heated combat situation you are unlikely to see a Cloaked pilot, but if your paying attention you can see them, and if they are jump jetting around then it is made even easier.
I went like 9/0 using the DMR a couple days ago. And I wasn't just camping, I ran around actively using it. Getting the Stabilizer and AOG sight makes it really easy to use up close if you're careful, but still lets you snipe with it if you get the chance.
I'm afraid cloaking doesn't work. I've been targeted several times even while cloaked.
I thought SP takes longer to lock onto cloaked players, or was it longer lock-on while cloaked?
So my game keeps crashing on that desert level with the dragons. Really annoying.
So my game keeps crashing on that desert level with the dragons. Really annoying.
I lose connection whenever I join a game on Nexus. I've never played a single round on Nexus or Overlook or Training Ground - and only two on most other maps. Really the only maps I've really played on a lot are Airbase, Outpost 207, Corporate, and Boneyard.
I thought SP takes longer to lock onto cloaked players, or was it longer lock-on while cloaked?
I'm not entirely sure. When I watched the killcams (because I was genuinely surprised that I could be locked onto) it didn't seem like it took any longer for them to lock-on. Maybe the range is shorter for cloaked players?
i got the CAR holy shit this gun is fantastic
I don't know what it is about this game but I just can't seem to lose I had two games in a row where I didn't die at all, and even in the games I lost I ended up at the top of my team's scoreboard with only one or two deaths My titan game is just too good
its one use, everyone gets several of these while leveling if it was a permanent ability you would be correct.
But still tho, if you do it right and the fact that you can stack your stim on top of this p much makes you unstoppable.
[t]http://puu.sh/7xsKZ.png[/t] feels good man
But still tho, if you do it right and the fact that you can stack your stim on top of this p much makes you unstoppable.
that's why burn cards only last one life. eventually, someone will jump in a titan and wreck your shit
i'm so excited, gonna buy this tomorrow!!
The jittery mouse bug thing is fucking annoying.
But still tho, if you do it right and the fact that you can stack your stim on top of this p much makes you unstoppable.
It doesn't let you activate your stim
The jittery mouse bug thing is fucking annoying.
What Jittery mouse bug?
What Jittery mouse bug?
I had thought it was only me at first but a bunch of people on reddit have talked about it so I guess it's not. Imagine trying to turn left quickly and having the game resist your turn, only with jittery camera motion as opposed to smooth resist. It's not graphical lag.
Cloaking slows down locktime drastically.
Try +m_rawinput 1 in launch properties.
What does it do?
I would assume it would allow raw mouse input
CAR or R101C?
