Anyone got any insight on the plasma railgun?
What do you want to know?
1) Plasma Railgun - (stock version) a chargable sniper rifle, really high damage, really slow rate of fire. Works like sniper rifle from Team Fotress 2.
2) Plasma Railgun - (Instant Shot) 40mm cannon on steroids. Can 5-6 shot atlas with decent hits to critical areas. Has only 5 shots in the mag.
Use #1 with Ogre, as you will be mostly stationary anyway, it let you eat some damage before being nuked by anything.
#2 is good for people who like being mobile, yet still deal huge amount of damage without dumb charge time of stock plasma.
how the hell do I crit with a charge rifle?
how the hell do I crit with a charge rifle?
Hah, that's tricky, as you sometimes think you hit it in the critical area but it doesn't register it.
Go for LTS, it's the easiest one.
Aim for the red parts of Titans, I suggest focusing on Atlas, as he has the biggest weak points imo... (Almost whole top is red, especially if you are on an elevated position).
Do the dragons on Boneyard fly off with grunts in the normal game? Or is that just a scripted part of the campaign?
I dunno about them grabbing grunts but i've seen them attacking the dropships in regular games.
Do the dragons on Boneyard fly off with grunts in the normal game? Or is that just a scripted part of the campaign?
Yeah, they can randomly grab grunts, havent seen them grab a spectre yet though
Haha the training ground map needs some serious invisible walls. I ejected next to some platform that was really high in the sky, so naturally i killed 5-6 titans with the charge rifle. They spazzed out trying to find out what was killing them.

They do a kind of Battlefield level-protection where it says "Return to the battle!" or something.. it needs to be worked on.

yeah, but they missed a 'few' spots on the training ground.
What titan weapons do you guys use, I just find myself always going back to the 40mm.
I like chain gun since it's so easy to snipe pilots with.
one thing I dislike about this game is you have absolutely no control over what maps you play
I seriously haven't even had one game on several maps yet
Yeah, I wish it had a voting system, like Halo: Reach's.
Anyone else having fps issues on attrition? Other gamemodes are fine for me. It really shoulnt lag when I have a 780GTX. Also I always crash when I quit the game obviously this isnt really a issue but I wonder if its common.
I'm finding my 780GTX is getting some FPS drops on attrition too.
Demeter seems to be the worst for me, followed by lagoon. The rest seem to be pretty good, but without fail I'll always play like trash when the map changes to Demeter because my FPS hits the floor.
So after fiddling with a bunch of tweaks and settings trying to fix the mouse stutter, I've finally pinned down the shadow setting as the main culprit. After disabling shadows entirely I can pretty much max everything else out and it runs perfectly fine. I also added "+m_rawinput 1 -high" in the launch options and they may have helped but I'm not totally sure; even after adding those, I still got stutter until I turned off shadows.
I think might stop at gen5 since I've seen another gen5 lvl50 stuck there because he needs to kill like 50 ejecting pilots. Like hell I'm going to farm that...

I did.... LTS + Chaingun.... It took... a long time... LONG TIME!
So after using the smart pistol for a while i decided to try grunt farming with the shotgun.
The shotgun is much better....

Just play normally and those kills will come around eventually. Chain gun will be your best bet.
Until there is a reason to go to the next generation, I think I'll just stop playing as much and stay at 50.

but you don't even have to play much to get to 50, i did it in 9 hours
Quake 3 bots were fairly player-like. But the gameplay in that was a lot simpler.
I don't remember Q3 bots strafejumping or timing powerups
Also, where's Fracture? I've only played on it in the campaign. I've never had a game on it since.
There are turrets on it in attrition, although they can't be actually hacked.

That was such an insanely close fight holy shit. They had point C and we had A & B. I had to single handedly fight off three pilots trying to cap hardpoint B. I think we would have lost if I didn't stand my ground.

At 50 I will stop playing as much. I'm almost there anyway.

I love matches like these... It's just so intense... Such a good feeling.
I've played 114 matches, and played on the beach-map for the first time this morning.
Like its a beach on one side with a space ship wrecked on the other, with tons of caverns and shit in between.
There desperately needs to be a votemap system.

Yay for high speed connections to play Titanfall at Panera
So is it a 7/10 game or 8/10 game?
Where's the DLC? Is the story any good? Did the devs pay homage to their past and incorporate a carentan like map from CoD into the game?

I'd say 8/10
No DLC yet, story is shit, no idea what carentan is
No idea what carentan is
Just a map from CoD1, CoD2, and CoD4 (Chinatown in CoD4) so I figured they liked playing on the map themselves. It's unlikely they'd put it in this game, but you never know there could be something slightly similar.
