I can't really justify using the arc cannon because it doesn't feel "strong" against other titans, so for me it's very situational, ie: I have a team where I don't [I]have[/I] to play like a lone wolf to avoid constant death

It rips through other Titans. and its hilarious seeing someone put up their Vortex Shield trying to catch it, only to watch the fuck get blasted out of their shield. It also fucks with the vision of Titans which makes it harder for them to follow you, especially if you use dodge after firing.

Arc Cannon also has no ammo, just like the Charge Rifle. Which is why I stick with those two. Good range, amazing accuracy, no ammo, great damage, can't be caught. And as long as you don't stand still and can track a target, you're hyper lethal.
It's fun popping infantry with the arc cannon, but the long charge time and steep damage drop off just makes it feel a lot less reliable than the 40mm.

I really like the unlimited arc mines. Just throw mines everywhere and you're bound to hit something eventually. Also, mining turrets with infinite mines. I got like 5 kills in one game just by booby trapping the turret console.
I finally got into a Pilot Hunter lobby where we actually won, six or seven games in a row. Still unbalanced, it felt good after trying to join Attrition and Hardpoint only to be thrust into a game where I'm losing, and then continue to be on the losing team for the next game.
That feeling when you got a satchel charge in just the perfect place, and spam E to blow it up... a little too close to a zip line.
I still love punching pilots with a titan. My friend was trying to destroy an enemy titan and he was about to die from being doomed, so I decided to run up to him and I punched as he got out, causing him to explode without a chance of running.
So am I the only one who keeps seeing a face on the loading screen with the ships?

I never realized how good the titan punch is against pilots. I love using it, especially since it auto aims.
Also, just started my third generation. I'm already missing my LMG, Arc Mines, Stealth Kit, and enhanced hacking ability.

Two little lights in the middle kind of look like cat eyes, block thing in between them is the nose, dark line below that is the mouth.
What's the stealth kit actually good for? I get that it eliminates the noise you make when moving around, but not a lot of people actually pay attention to that.

The most important thing it does is remove your jet trails, so you can safely double jump while cloaked and Titans won't know where you are since you don't emit a jet trail. I also found out that while playing as a Spectre, you don't make footstep noise.

After using cloak for a bit, I think it's my favorite pilot ability. It's important to understand its limitations, in that it's only makes you truly invisible to Titans, and [b]not[/b] pilots, but after that you can escape from being killed by Titans with it and rodeo onto them without them seeing you. And with the LMG, if you rodeo a Titan, it's dead.

How does Brain Surgeon challenge work exactly? I'm killing maybe about 3 titans per attrition match with the LMG but it only counts 1. I also noticed that sometimes it says not rodeo but spitfire LMG in the killfeed.
I'm on the fence about buying this game. It's sorta expensive to buy in store and my internet can't handle the download size.
Is there anything that makes this game worth buying? Aside from giant ass mechabots you can control and a cool theme.

It was weird, I agree.
I guess it counts only those that are later on shown on the killfeed.
So maybe even if you doom one but someone destroys the doomed version of it later, it won't count towards your progress, even though you have doomed it in the first place.
That's just my theory.
Also, be prepared for tons of steals from your face... I can't count amount of titans I have jumped on and shot to death just for some tryhard come by with a 40mm cannon and steal it from me, with a lucky shot.

There's also parkour and gunplay, both very polished in this case. There's so much crazy stuff that can be done, and so many ways to play. There aren't 50 guns or such, but the ones that are there are all different and balanced. It's that sort of game that has something for everyone.
The most annoying thing about the spitfire is electric smoke.

I just regenerated to 7 recently and I'm kind of tired of the game now. Are there gonna be any more weird challenges like this?
Don't you guys think that Titanfall, even though it's a great game - isn't really worth buying an Xbox for? I feel that given how low the requirements are this game is being a bit over hyped for the Xbone when most PC's gamers will own will be able to run it just fine. Great game though.

while its certainly one of the best titles available for the xbone at the moment, i dont see it as any reason to buy the console
same applies for any other game or console really, i'd never buy a console just for one game
