no
yes I use a keyboard and mouse in every other game. Le PC gaming mustard race members can use whatever input device they want, and in Titanfall I happen to prefer a PS4 controller. I've also never encountered a situation in which super precise aiming/quickly turning around would have saved me. I genuinely enjoy playing the game more with a controller. My question is, why is it that the Titanfall community in general is so bad that I can consistently wreck pubbies using the input device I am least familiar with?
I've tried using a controller, it's nice especially when you use a Titan, the auto aim is handy but I had trouble performing precise parkour tricks.
I can't imagine using a controller for a fast paced parkour shooter. not having precise aiming/movement is a big no-no for me, especially for a game like this [editline]25th March 2014[/editline] just got called a hacker twice for racking 17 pilot kills and 2 deaths, and something equivalent on the next match
I play on PC with a controller, yet I'm still top of the scoreboard most of the time, often with half again as many points as the next best. ...Is this normal?
No it is not, your enemies were probably afk or were using controllers themselves...maybe just touchpads from laptops. Weird... I just had a dream where Titanfall was on a mobile devices and people were playing against normal console and PC players. It was painful to watch. Back to the topic. Are there any changes to the matchmaking? Haven't played for 2 days, as I am waiting for more demanding players to play against and with... In other words, those who are not using controllers on PC.

I didn't know there was a "Single Handedly Killed All Combantants" bonus at the end.

The aim assist is great especially for wallrunning and shooting.
so who decided it would be a good idea to give the quad rocket launcher MORE spread when you ADS?
so who decided it would be a good idea to give the quad rocket launcher MORE spread when you ADS?
The spiral spread is meant more for area denial, but really it just gives you more time to bring up your vortex shield
The spiral spread is meant more for area denial, but really it just gives you more time to bring up your vortex shield
It's a good idea and great for smooshing large blobs of minions... but having the inaccurate mode on a weapon attached to right click and having you zoom in? Pretty counter intuitive.
Triple Threat is too good for area denial and Quad Launcher is too horrible for anything. They should get their shit together with those two weapons.
Quad Launcher is awesome for pilot killing.
I use quad launcher w/ fast fire + rocket salvo + fast ordinance = pop out, shower in missles, run. Rinse, repeat.
Quad Launcher is awesome for pilot killing.
Still not as good as chaingun which is also awesome for anything else, not to mention 40mm. Actually, I would put it at the bottom of the ladder. Every other gun is better/more versatile.
-snip- I didn't pay attention...
Are we ignoring the fact that you just pulled home a victory with just 1 point more than the other team? That's kickass.
I thought that was the whole point of the picture [editline]25th March 2014[/editline] i mean, it's not exactly a good-looking or an entertaining screenshot anyway

Not until you've actually used a controller in Titanfall can you truly understand how awful it is. The tunnel vision isn't that great either. He also wasn't using bumper jumper so it was impossible to aim while jumping.
Holy crap, this game is just absolutely kicking my ass.... there isn't matchmaking to people of your skill I'm geussing? (Also, anyone have some tips for a newbie?)

Yeah, I think servers exclusively for people between like, 1-10 would be great for helping new players actually get the hang of the game without a bunch of 40s and Gen'ers stomping them constantly.
"No servers found"
Mm exited! Seems ridicolously fun and challenging. Incoming! [t]http://i.imgur.com/cG2UMYu.jpg[/t] [sp]ridicolus speed [/sp]
'challenging' isnt one of the words i'd use to describe the game
Is it the matchmaking? Hasn't it improved over time?
the 40mm needs a nerf so bad. it just does almost everything better than most of the titan weapons. it either needs a lower mag or a slower ROF.
the 40mm needs a nerf so bad. it just does almost everything better than most of the titan weapons. it either needs a lower mag or a slower ROF.
Just for the sake of comparison- there is a version with lower mag, slower rof and smaller AoE. The Railgun with fastfire. :v:
I thought that was the whole point of the picture [editline]25th March 2014[/editline] i mean, it's not exactly a good-looking or an entertaining screenshot anyway
Steam decided it'll be fun to compress the screenshot to make it look like an 8 year old game.
Just for the sake of comparison- there is a version with slower mag, rof and AoE. The Railgun with fastfire. :v:
its mostly like the chaingun/rockets/arc/tripplethreat/railgun feel like they take a while to tear down shields and armor, while 40 MM just tears ass through both. two titans with 40mm can down another in like 5 seconds while the the rest take like 15 seconds unless you hit the weakpoint every time.
If you're up against a 40mm and your shields go down, either run away or run at him and corner him to hit the nuclear eject, there's just no surviving critical hits from the 40mm
I wouldn't mind a neat'ol 105mm howitzer turned into a Titan weapon having to reload after every shot, or even turn it into a ordnance shoulder mount it ye ye
