yes they drop randomly and for challenges like always
But at some point, you'll have finished challenges and you don't get their burn card rewards. What happens then?

They drop randomly. When you kill stuff it sometimes says "Burn card earned: grunt." That's because you got a burn card for killing that grunt. you still get random burn card drops. I don't know any other way to make this clear.

I assumed it had something to do with accomplishing a challenge associated with killing grunts.

the message for that is "Burn card earned: challenge" no matter what challenge.

Sounds pretty neat.
It's good that they listen to their playerbase, Titan customization is something that should've been in the base game.

Here are some more things all summed up that are supposedly in the works.
I had a miracle and was a spectre for two lives. I wish they would make it so it applies to one whole round instead of one death.
The amped smart pistol is so good, it kills with two shots.
It's great in combination with a parkour kit and stim, just wallrun around and be an annoying shit while locking enemy pilots

This is a pretty great damn deal
I just noticed. In one of the nighttime maps there is a big dinosaur in the background :v:

Several
that does make me laugh that the same species of giant, quadrupedal animal is native to different planets in different solar systems
boneyard and airbase are apparently on the same planet
boneyard and airbase are apparently on the same planet
i love how on airbase the aliens start walking towards the base after the match is over
also this concept of alternative objectives within gamemodes sounds pretty good to me, it still bothers me that most gen challenges only really require you to play attrition to get them easily
boneyard and airbase are apparently on the same planet
really?
You will be able to group up via Hashtags.
This definitely won't end poorly.
I'm glad the paid DLC are just map packs and story fluff. I paid $60 and while the game is amazing the price wasn't, so the thought of having to spend an additional $25 to make up for the content sparse core game was slightly upsetting. Nice to see that wont be the case.
I wonder what the odds are of them adding in a deathmatch mode. No teams, militia and IMC AI are hostile to everyone, call it anarchy or something. Highest scoring player at the end of the 10 minute round wins.
I just played a game against bots. wtf
I just played a game against bots. wtf
What, how? Like no players or AI in players slot on the other team?
I just played a game against bots. wtf
That sounds like a dream come true for regen challenges. Or was the enemy team just really really terrible / same bloodline as hellen keller.
What, how? Like no players or AI in players slot on the other team?
there was one legit player and all the others were just named playeractor## (## being some 2 digit number) Between the five of them, they had about one pilot kill and 7 attrition points.

UPDATE!
according to this reddit thread, it was Play Reactor, a Mexican Gaming Convention. I misread and thought it was player actor.
They weren't bots, just people at a con.
Was it ever explained as to how the militia are able to use titans as well?
Was it ever explained as to how the militia are able to use titans as well?
What do you mean?
What do you mean?
IMC is supplied its titans + spectres by the Hammond Robotics Corporation. As far as we know, they are the only Corp. that makes these things. The question is, do they also supply to the militia? It's not too far fetched IMO. Two customers aggressively using their products is better than One customer that doesn't.
Speaking of which I want to say something: Clues make it clear that this universe has a LOT of people living in it. That makes the sheer numbers each side pours into battle a lot more believable. I just thought I'd point out that neat little nugget.
Militia can capture titan making facilities. We know there are spectre factories in the frontier, why not mechs? They can also capture the titans straight from the bases or perhaps build them on their own.
I mean, the militia are the standard 'resistance' faction. How does a resistance faction get stuff? They steal it, or they make their own.

Making their own stuff would be more believable if it wasn't identical to the IMC's stuff apart from the paint job.
Making their own stuff would be more believable if it wasn't identical to the IMC's stuff apart from the paint job.
Just because the game doesn't support it, doesn't mean in-universe Militia can't make their own stuff.
I actually do believe it's mentioned at some point that the Militia is largely self supplying, even in regards to Titans. I remember hearing somewhere (will try to find out where exactly) that the reason the Militia can build the Stryder, is because they raided the facility where they were build soon after it's completion, stealing the plans. It's likely they did the same with the Atlas and Ogre.
I don't know about Spectres, though. They might have captured them and reprogrammed them, or they could build their own. If we follow the campaign however, it seems that all Spectres that the Militia possess are stolen; if you pay attention during the campaign, you'll notice that the IMC employs a helluva lot more Spectres than the Militia. So it's clear that the IMC can easily replace them, but that the Militia -might- have to be conservative about using them.
boneyard and airbase are apparently on the same planet
No they're not, Boneyard is in another system.
If you listen to what they said in the campaign you'd know that the Militia prepare to jump (after the Boneyard mission) to the Airbase planet because it's close to Demeter and that the Airbase planet sends support to the IMC Demeter fleet regularly.

The IMC spectres look like older models that has been in the field for quite some time, menawhile the Militia ones look like the new generation spectres developed by Hammond in the Frontier.
(See: Last mission.)
There are so many Gen3 pilots now, when there are titans on the field, it's like watching a Star Wars movie. All the lasers/shots are flying by and keep missing. And if you're not doing that challenge, you're like the only titan on the field that's not using that shitty weapon so you're basically a godamn Jedi having the ability to just run ram their lines knowing they probably won't be as effective in CQC with that shit.
