A while ago I posted a similar video and a user here suggested I set my sound emitter to low. Well here is what happens when I do that (which I have to do every time I launch the game because it doesn't save the setting between sessions.)
Holy fuck I am getting frustrated
They promissed to fix that in the next update. Pretty much anyone has this issue.
Are there any tips for getting critical hits with the charge rifle? I've had serious issues with just barely missing or it not even registering. I even rodeo'd an Atlas and shot it three times and the challenge only counted one.

If I understand it all correctly, shields have to be down to get a crit, and you can't get a crit while rodeo'ing since you're attacking the rodeo damage area and not the titan itself

That part about rodeoing not doing crit damage is in no way true. You can tell if it's a critical hit if the hit indicator is orange instead of white, and I completed that challenge largely by using the charge rifle while rodeoing titans

Ah I thought rodeo did a specific type of damage bonus, not just standard crit bonus applied to small arms fire.
Last time I tried to use the charge rifle while rodeo I fried myself :(

That was probably something else that got you because the charge rifle is the only anti titan weapon with no splash damage
On my very first rodeo, little did I know shooting with the sidewinder would've blasted myself to bits. :v:

things really went sideways :v:
Stealing a titan doom from 2 friendly titans across the map with a Carbine feels soo good.

You're one of those assholes.

Of course I abuse satchels, so I'm one of those assholes.
Yeah... before I did the Gen 3 challenges I was one of those who thought satchels were cheap and never used them. I am uh, now converted, they are stupidly good fun even if they're bollocks
oh man, i just came up with the sickest strat ever
i was getting rodeo'd, so i hop out of my titan, use my second jump to get a bit higher, flip around and jump kick the dude rodeoing me v:

I recorded it and put it on Youtube in a review. :v:
I remember rodeoing someone, planting charges and detonating it with me still on him. I'm not sure what I expected.

"if the charges go inside the titan's guts it shouldn't kill me since a doomed titan doesn't kill me when it explodes while I'm on it"
*click*
Several times I've killed myself by satchel charges being detonated by electric smoke
Luckly I got this when it was in beta and it was fun as hell then like a butch of dicks I didn't get it when it came out like I've seen alot of other games do, Sadly they came out with campaign and shit when it was out of beta.

I'm sorry, what?

I think that, after 50+ hours of gameplay, I can safely make the opinion that the slammer attachment for the LMG is the only "truly" OP thing in the game. Everything else has its flaws, but the slammer enables a rodeoer to take down a Titan in just a few seconds. I've seen it done before they got killed by electric smoke. It's bad.

hush now, everything is going to be ok my boy!
Sometimes I'll rodeo a titan with my anti titan weapon and I totally forget that it does damage to me...
I've been playing the Xbox One version since Monday, at first i wasnt too fond of the Titan combat, but then i found the Arc Cannon.
Zap Motherfucker!
So I've been working on a small project for the past three regens and it's finally done.
Behold, my work:

The next ~10 rounds are going to be so much fucking fun.
You guys think you've done stupid things with satchels?
I tossed one on the titan, and it landed on the core. I didn't think it'd matter, so i shot at the core anyways. I died. Horribly.
Now that I have some time to think, ammo is handled in a very strange way in Titanfall. You effectively get infinite ammunition for your primary and secondary weapons but you get a very finite number of explosives until you can call in a Titan. It makes for this really jarring transition between the first few minutes of the game and the first few titanfalls.
I think things would be a lot more interesting if they cut the magazine count down from OH DEAR GOD WHY to, I don't know, five or six magazines, and then had grunts/specters/pilots drop a partial ammo/explosives resupply upon death on occasion.
It's not a super important thing, but it still kind of bugs me.
In my opinion, ammo management is one of the biggest annoyances in shooters, so having a huge sum of ammo for basic weaponry is actually really nice. Having limited "ordnance" makes sense because those are volatile munitions, and from a balance perspective, they're too strong to have a very large supply of.
Death is also a common occurrence, so having "limited" explosives is even less of an issue. If you're good enough to survive constantly on basic weaponry until you can call in a titan, you're "rewarded" with extra ordnance. If you can't - You die. Respawn, and hey... you have more ordnance.
If you didn't have a surplus of ammo per life, this would make the survival aspect very difficult and not all that rewarding - Once you run out of ammo your only goal would be to stay alive or suicide in such a way as to not give the other team a point.
In addition, arbitrarily limiting basic ammo and then adding ammo drops to NPCs seems like a kludgey way of directing the player to kill grunts. In attrition that may make some sense ( as they actually have a role to play by being point fodder ) but in other modes they serve only to catch unsuspecting players off guard and to make the battlefield feel less empty with so few players on either side.
While having the cannon fodder drop explosives may seem like a cool idea, it detracts away from a key aspect of a Titan. You'll still call it in, but if you're already getting that boom boom pow from shitlings, you don't need to get in your Titan to resupply, making both you and your Titan less vulnerable, as neither one of you has any downtime.
This got a little rambly and out of order, but I hope I got my view across.
Today I had a really close attrition match, and I was up against an Ogre while driving a Stryder. I proceeded to bukkake with my 40mm (with the triple burst), burst fire missiles and electric smoke, and finished him off with a melee and even ended up doing the whole execution move, the whole skirmish lasted about five seconds even though we were both at full health. It was amazing, I'm really adoring the Stryder.
Haha, using big punch I managed to bounce an enemy titan between me and another teammate's titan. Must be frustrating
Anyone got any tips for using the Charge Rifle?
